| President Obama lamented his loneliness in the White House on Monday and said he would have more friends in Washington if Republican lawmakers weren’t so afraid of blowback from conservative media. At the final news conference of his first term, Mr. Obama was asked why he doesn’t socialize more often. The president protested in reply, “I’m a pretty friendly guy. I like a good party.” But he said some Republicans can’t afford to be seen socializing with him. He cited the example of former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, the Republican turned independent who drew criticism after he endorsed

He is hiding in the WH or on golf courses because he is scared.

Obama says he debt ceiling has nothing to do with spending,even though the new borrowed money would be spent on spending.It´s obvious to most people,that if you cut spending,you wouldn´t have to borrow as much but this is lost on Obama.
The left longs for the days of Reagan and Tip Oneil going out for drinks after a busy day of bashing each other but Tip was buttering Reagan up for a tax increase or new spending scheme.
DC area socialites love Obama throwing tax payer funded parties,unlike with Bush who rarely had them.

There seems to be bipartisan consensus that whatever the White House is doing to fend off scandal is making things worse. Howard Fineman sounds a lot like Right Turn these days: “White House aides are tempting fate with their reluctant, piecemeal and contradictory disclosures of what they knew and when they knew it, especially about a report on the Internal Revenue Service’s 18-month effort to target tea party and other conservative groups for special scrutiny.” The constantly shifting stories from Jay Carney and the IRS dissembling and pleas of ignorance only heighten concern that there has been serious wrongdoing.

We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed).
