| Four years removed from serving two terms as George W. Bush’s powerful and polarizing vice president, Dick Cheney is still capable of sending tremors through the Force, whether it’s the continuation of unprecedented post-9/11 security policies he helped put in place, or movie critics who describe Zero Dark Thirty as a thriller that Cheney would love. While in office, Cheney routinely batted away shrill liberal critics who callously vilified him as some all-powerful Sith Lord manipulating the levers of government from above, but in the new Sundance Film Festival

Comments: Video here is just a tease for a film that is sure to make the collective heads of the anti-American ignorami at Sundance explode.

I actually kind of like this! Grudging respect, if nothing else.
Makes me wonder how they would describe the dork we´ve got today.

The Looney Left is still jealous of the former VP, mainly because unlike them, he used his brain!

Can´t wait to see this documentary. If Cutler approached it in the manner he describes, it can´t help but be an extraordinarily positive comparison to the "lead from behind" gang in power now.
He is second only to President Reagan to me. I´m thankful for his years of service to our country.

As someone who frequently disagreed with him during his years in office, I have to say that I was nevertheless often oddly comforted by his innate sense of competence. He was always so sure and seemingly credible — even when I believed completely the opposite of what he was telling me.
You can´t make this stuff up. This is what happens when a big-feelings libtard is set face-to-face with reason.
They´re never going to respect us. I´ll settle for having them fear us.

Sen. The FBI has arrested two men, including a Ku Klux Klan member, for trying to build an X-ray weapon to kill Muslims and other people they perceived as "enemies of Israel", including President Barack Obama. Glendon Crawford, 49 and Eric Feight, 54, both from New York state, have been charged with conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists, and face 15 years in prison if found guilty. Authorities found out about the plan when Crawford reached out to some local Jewish organisations, looking for funds and help with the technology.

North Korea has threatened to kill the "human scum" responsible for an article that claimed its leader handed out copies of Hitler´s autobiography for his birthday. The article, by New Focus International, an online news portal run by North Korean defectors, said Kim Jong-Un had given copies of Mein Kampf to his top officials, urging them to study it as a leadership skills manual.(snip) It also vowed to launch "merciless punishment of justice" against South Korea and the United States, accusing the two nations of encouraging the defectors to defame its ruler.

London: US President Barack Obama repeatedly called British finance minister George Osborne "Jeffrey" at the G8 summit, media reported on Thursday. The US president said three times that he agreed fully with "Jeffrey" during his presentation on G8 host Britain´s plans to crack down on tax avoidance, leaving Osborne red-faced. Realising his blunder afterwards, Obama joked that he had mistaken Britain´s chancellor for the US soul singer Jeffrey Osborne, The Sun and the Financial Times reported. "I´m sorry, man. I must have confused you with my favourite R and B singer," Obama was quoted as saying.

Hillary Clinton´s return to the living was almost flawless. Almost. She unveiled her Twitter account (young and with-it), and referred knowingly to the pantsuit (mature and self-aware). She didn´t look tan (that would be too "Real Housewives of New Jersey") but seemed rested (that´s what almost six months of downtime will do for you) and ready (returning to her animating issues of girls and early childhood through her Too Small to Fail initiative). She picked a rocking photo (dark shades, in the bulkhead seat of her secretary of state airplane, thumbing her BlackBerry).

President Barack Obama raised the prospect Wednesday that Europe might need to adjust its economic policies to tackle high youth unemployment and make sure that some countries don´t "lose a generation." Obama warned during his visit to Berlin that, while he was confident the euro area´s leaders will resolve their debt crisis, austerity and structural reforms must not cause policymakers to lose sight of the main goal: Improving people´s lives. Unemployment in the group of 17 European Union countries that use the euro, which is stuck in recession, has shot up to a record 12.2 percent.

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Likening religious schools to segregation--a racist system that forced blacks to attend different schools and use different facilities than whites in the American South--President Barack Obama told a town hall meeting for youth in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Monday that there should not be Catholic and Protestant schools because such schools cause division. "Because issues like segregated schools and housing, lack of jobs and opportunity--symbols of history that are a source of pride for some and pain for others--these are not tangential to peace; they’re essential to it,"

Listening to Barack Obama give his speech in Belfast on Monday, it was hard not to stifle a yawn. I kept waiting for the part when he would say something interesting, but, about three quarters of the way through, realised it wasn’t going to come. Judging from television pictures some of his young audience felt the same, after the initial rush of euphoria of receiving the rock star president in their midst had passed. This is not surprising, for we had already heard this number about the inspirational role of the Northern Ireland peace process and the Emerald Isle’s

Celebrity chef Paula Deen admitted in a recorded deposition to telling racist jokes, using the N-word, and planning a slavery-themed wedding, according to multiple reports. The May 17 deposition where she made the alleged admissions is part of a $1.2 million lawsuit brought by Lisa Jackson, the former manager of a Savannah, Georgia, restaurant run by Deen and her brother Bubba Hiers. Jackson alleges in the suit that Deen used the N-word at the restaurant and that Hiers sexually harassed her. According to the reports, in the deposition, Deen replied “Yes, of course,”

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
