| In the cannabis plant family, hemp is the good seed. Marijuana, the evil weed. Michael Bowman, a gregarious Colorado farmer who grows corn and wheat, has been working his contacts in Congress in an attempt to persuade lawmakers that hemp has been framed, unfairly lumped with the stuff people smoke to get high.(Snip)Bowman’s message is simple: Be sensible. “Can we just stop being stupid? Can we just talk about how things need to change?”

It´s so sad that Canada, Europe and even Australia have thriving hemp industries without a single canabis problem associated with it. It is truly an amazing plant. But, our national insanity toward drugs of almost every kind has given us such a bad case of paranoia we can´t function as a normal state. It truly is a national mental illness.

One hundred years ago marijuana and heroin were legal and readily available. Heroin could be purchased at a drug store for about the same cost as aspirin.
We had no ´drug´ problem. We had no gangs, no Mafia, no drug lords, no militarized police force, no No-Knock warrants, and no prison population as great as Red China´s.
Prohibition does not work, as we have proven again and again. We are long past time to re-examine our national nightmare.
It is not the duty of the federal government to regulate what drugs we take and what foods we eat. There is no constitutional ground for it. If the several states choose to regulate drugs or foodstuffs, that falls well within their purview. Let the states handle this and get the feds out of it.

If you, as an adult, with all that is going on in the world and all that the world can offer...spend your time thinking about pot, using it, and wishing it were made legal, you´re a moron.
Not someone interested in rights, or a libertarian perspective, or somehow concerned about government overreach. Take a step back, look in the mirror and repeat after me...MORON.

I´ve heard that if you plant hemp, it neutralizes the mind-altering stuff in any marijuana plants that are nearby - can anyone confirm that?

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.
