Ed Asner Adds His Voice

LOS ANGELES — Sunday dawned crisp and clear here, with wintry (for Southern California) temperatures lingering in the 40s and 50s. But the rhetoric was already hot, as Hollywood got ready for a Golden Globes ceremony at which the table talk — if not the stage banter — almost inevitably will turn to the political flare-up around “Zero Dark Thirty.” “I would like to condemn the movie” for making it appear that torture was effective in the hunt for Osama bin Laden, Ed Asner said in a telephone interview on Sunday morning. Mr. Asner said he

Yawn - Old Leftists stage a ´protest´ by picking up the telephone. BTW, what happened to Gitmo as a cause célèbre?

Don´t forget, this senile old socialist-communist bastage was right there with Bow-Hussain-Boy and without either one of these mental giants the Islamic´s answer to Hitler would never have been brought to ground.

Socialists everywhere, give thanks for both of these magnificent traitors in the name of our lord and saviour George Soros and all they, and the rest of Hollywood´s drug addled scum have done to undermine the United States of America and turn it in to a minority run cesspool.

Ed: Here´s one instance where you and Dear Leader(US) can say, "It´s Bush´s fault." Well, actually, "It´s because of Bush´s actions," but we´ll take the former.

You were okay on MTM Show in the 70s, but you have been a pain in the arse ever since.

I have to start to wonder if the reason so many of the Senators and Congressmen will say that torture does not work is they know it´s a lie but they are part of a disinformation campaign directed at the enemy.

McCain said it didn´t work and then later when he talked in a candid moment about his own experiences he admitted that it worked on him.

I went to see Zero Dark Thirty. It was OK, not great. Any American would or should be proud that our military carried out its duty and got OBL, so that part of the movie was the best part. But that part seemed disjointed from the rest of the movie, which was about the female CIA agent. And the camera work was a mess. The camera was too close, too jerky, too out of focus. You´d think that with all the modern technology, that they could at least make a technologically competent film. I can understand why the director did not get a nomination for an Oscar.

Chef Vered Guttman braved the challenge of preparing a White House Passover seder in line with Michelle Obama´s healthy eating guidelines and lived to tell her story. "The traditional seder fare is hardly fresh or healthy," Guttman wrote in a post-dinner review about incorporating vegetable sides to "offset some of the Jewish carbs" like gefilte fish and matzo ball soup. And her hard work to keep it healthy paid off, as both the President and First Lady praised her quinoa-kale salad and even inquired after the recipe. A new poll shows former secretary of state Hillary Clinton´s (D) numbers hitting their lowest point in six years. Meanwhile, it finds that the Republican Party is experiencing something of a renaissance. The Fox News poll, from Democratic pollster Anderson Robbins Research and GOP pollster Shaw & Company, shows Clinton´s favorable rating dropping to 49 percent, compared to 45 percent unfavorable. The last time her numbers were in that ballpark was during the 2008 Democratic presidential primary race. After she ended her campaign, her favorable/unfavorable split was 47/46. Other polls have shown Clinton´s numbers --

DENVER | Colorado Democrats abandoned their own divisive abortion proposal Wednesday, axing the bill after one lawmaker expressed indecision and it became clear they might not have the votes to pass it in a chamber where every vote matters. Democrats used a legislative maneuver to shelve a bill that would have banned any state regulation of reproductive decisions such as abortion and contraception. It had been scheduled for a vote Wednesday evening in the Senate, where the party holds a slim one-seat majority. The move came after Sen. When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'
