I imagine to a lot of republicans and conservatives,Christie blew a lot of political stock glad handing Obama after Sandy.You could argue that he had to in order to expedite rescue money to his state but that misreads Obama,who really doesn´t care about such things.The only thing Obama gets out of bed for is killing an element of traditional America.

Obama won NYC by a wider margin than anyone in over a 100 years but that didn´t motivate him to get money or help into the region.Private orgs. did a hell of a lot more than FEMA,who´s employees stayed in $300 a night rooms while people outside suffered in cold and dug through dumpsters for food.

By contrast though,Christie looks like he genuinely cares about his folks and he has a very high approval in one of the bluest states in the country.

Christie´s electoral prospects hang in the balance because people across the country can´t get their arms around who he is as a republican and conservative.

Meanwhile the adolescent left´s evaluation is he´s simply too fat to be president.

Natural disaster politic, while not a new phenomenon, has become so pervasive that it eclipses real issues of import facing the fledgling Republic. It is symptomatic of a government-infotainment complex, a parasitic symbiosis that drains the vitality and saps the initiative of the nation. Real issues are drowned by manufactured controversies, hyperbole, rhetoric, glad handing, symbolic overture. Christie, like Obama and Clinton before him, has mastered the craft of infotainment culture, which may prove a great detriment to our national future.

Fat boy is not a conservative and only cares about his next election. That´s why he handed BO a nice victory. Maybe he was po that Romney idi not ask him to be vp.Get over it this is another losing proposition.

Chris Christie´s goal for 2016 should be to see it. He needs to shed about 150 lbs or he´s going to expire at a young age. He´s at a level of obesity such that there are about a dozen very real potential threats to his longevity. Also, when people look at a politician like him, his physical appearance reminds them of the government they hate.

Christie is a political opportunist.

And he is much, much too fat - and appears to be growing.

Christie has one thing is common with both Bush and Obama--they all have advanced as far in American politics as they are going to go.

I suspect you´re right about "Bush and Obama", #6. The presidency of the United States is about as far as they can go.

He won´t win because he won´t be nominated. His State after his four years as Governor is an economic basket case with the productive leaving. He chose the politically advantageous fights or, in Obama´s case, alliances, not the hard or necessary ones. It´s that re-election thing. So New Jersey rots at its core the result of Democrat and Democrat-lite (Republican) leadership since at least Brendan Byrne.

Forget his post-Sandy routine, the fact that he is obese means he will never win the presidency. Americans, especially the low info voters, base decisions on feelings and if someone looks/sounds presidential and an obese man (or woman) does not appear presidential.

Christie´s ham handed willingness to grab all the pork he can at the detriment of the rest of the country is what has killed his career. Pundits need to stop trying to tell us who to vote for. How´d their boys McCain and Romney work for them anyway?

I have to agree that America may not be able to get its arms around Christie. We did elect William Howard Taft @ 355 lbs but Chris needs to be a lot taller.

We have rarely had a candidate looking more ´Presidential´ than Romney. If the 47% leeches and parasites based their vote on that he would be President.
This election was about perceived self interest. Romney failed to show many hard working, tax paying and law abiding citizens that it was in their supreme interest to come out. Zippy did better with his 47%. And so will Hillary unless we reform our process and bring out a real communicator.

Christie reminds me of Fiorello La Guardia--tough, smart, temperamental. He´s funny-looking, but I like him. As for political opportunism, Christie decided not to run for president despite being a stronger potential candidate than many who did. Given the way things played out, I suspect he would be president now if he had. The first enemy of every Republican is the liberal media, and Christie handles the press better than any GOP candidate except Gingrich. Now think about the last two weeks of that campaign, with Christie on television every night demonstrating leadership. Our loss. Literally.

Because he gets the GOP nomination?

The "Business of Politics" and the deception they impose on Americans is evident again.

We have a failed political system, growing debt, fraud, waste and abuse in numbers that would shock most Americans, and an illiterate voting populace.
