| In 2009, when a prominent accounting firm released a report describing how Obamacare would drive up the cost of health insurance, supporters of the health-care bill were furious, declaring that only insurance-industry shills would be craven enough to produce such poppycock. After all, President Obama had repeatedly promised that his bill would “bring down premiums by $2,500 for the typical family.” In addition, they argued, Obamacare will spend trillions of dollars on health insurance subsidies, such that the uninsured wouldn’t be exposed to any purported rate hikes.

I had to drop my health insurance because the premiums doubled. I would have actually been paying more than one of my paychecks. So between losing my health care, not receiving a raise for the past three years and the SS taxes going back up I am not feeling too confident. Oh, and my husband has just lost his second job this year. His boss skipped town owing him $5300 in back pay. And this administration keeps telling us things are getting better. And they said Mitt was out of touch.

Obama and virtually every person in his top echelon are liars and thieves. So said Mark Levin on one of his radio programs this week. The data the Administration presented to the CBO during the legislative process was BOGUS and on that point alone, Obamacare should be repealed. You decide what should happen to Obama for lying to the Country on a continual basis. Futhermore, the electronic health care records that have been mandated do NOT save money, and in fact, do NOT even work. Your medical care provider spends more time looking at the screen than discussing your problems.nd if you see a provided OUTSIDE his own network, there is no record. It is all so that the GOVERNMENT can know all about you and control your life. That is the Socialist, or should I say Marxist, way.

The federal subsidies can only reach you in states that have agreed to set up a state insurance exchange. In those states companies will be fined if they don´t offer insurance. To get around the fines, many companies will fire employees or reduce the number of hours they work. Oh, and the expense of setting up an exchange and running the new Medicaid program are expected to bankrupt the states that participate.

"What´s unfortunate," aside from costs going significantly up, not down, for a majority of already-insured Americans, is not that the POTUS repeated claimed otherwise, or even that he knew this and intended it (to drive people under the government plan that our elected officials need not suffer). "What´s unfortunate" is that even so, all the POTUS has to do is go through the regular national media puppets and say "Let me be clear" and tell another simple, bald-faced lie, and the majority of Americans will believe him! That´s unfortunate, indeed.

Vice President Biden hit the game show circuit this week, appearing Thursday on Jeopardy. Under the quiz show´s time-honored format, Biden provided the answers for questions about the first vice president to serve (John Adams), the first vice president to resign (John C. Calhoun), the first veep to ascend to the presidency (John Tyler), and the fact that the veep´s official residence is at the Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C. Biden also provided the clue for a Daily Double: "The vice president is a member of the board of regents of this, ´America´s attic.´" The question: "What is the Smithsonian?"

First lady Michelle Obama hung out with a "big time star" and jammed to the Godfather of Soul, but brought a serious message to students at a once-troubled Washington elementary school Friday.(snip)The first lady toured a pre-K classroom and a fifth grade arts class during her visit. In the pre-K class, she joined the four and five-year-olds in a game where they dance, and freeze in positions shown on flash cards when the music stops. She spent about 15 minutes in the class, dancing to James Brown´s "Gonna Have Funky Good Time".

Not to fear, America -- she´s been placed on "administrative leave," a terribly severe form of discipline that´s effectively tantamount to paid vacation. (snip)Lerner, the director of the IRS exempt organizations office in Washington, D.C., signed cover letters to 15 conservative organizations currently represented by the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) between in March and April of 2012. The letters, such as this one sent to the Ohio Liberty Council on March 16, 2012, informed the groups applying for tax-exempt status that the IRS was “unable to make a final determination on your exempt status

The president may have forgotten something as he boarded Marine One this morning. On his way to the U.S. Naval Academy graduation ceremony on Annapolis, Md., President Obama didn’t return the salute of the marine standing guard at the door of Marine One, as he climbed the steps to the helicopter cabin. Obama soon ducked his head out, waved to the pilot, and jaunted back down the stairs to address the marine, shaking his hand. In the short video clip, one can’t hear the two men talking, so it’s unclear what exactly was said.

Put aside the politics, and the question of who-knew-what-when. There are two policy problems highlighted by the controversies at the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Justice. The first is the growth of 501(c)(4) groups into vehicles for anonymous and unlimited political spending. The second is the Obama administration’s overzealous prosecution of leaks. Unfortunately, for those who would like to see these policy problems resolved, the wrong party is angry about them and the wrong party is complacent.

She had to endure the public humiliation of his sexting scandal, but now it turns out that Anthony Weiner’s wife was the driving force behind his comeback. Huma Abedin put her feelings of betrayal aside and backed her husband to run for mayor of New York in this year’s election. She has also been working her close connections to the Clinton family to get Mr Weiner access to wealthy and powerful donors who he so badly needs. Having been frozen out of politics when he quit his Congressional seat, Mr Weiner is now effectively relying on his wife

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose
