Remember in grade school when a kid stole something off the teacher´s desk and she announced the whole class was going to pay if the thief didn´t come forward? Well, Vice-President Joe Biden, Eric Holder, and their fellow task force members who met this past week in the great gun debate want 80 million law abiding gunowners to pay for the acts of homicidal nutcases from John Hinckley to Adam Lanza. Biden brazenly announced an impending "by any means necessary" strategy from his boss if gun grabbers don´t get what they want.
This article claims someone has ´documented´ Adam Lanza taking psychiatric drugs. That simply is not true. The only person who publicly came out and claimed that he had taken a specific medication turned out to be a fraudster looking for 15 minutes of fame who didn´t even know the family.
Overwhelming number of young mass killers have been found to be on SSRIs (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors) a very potent class of psychotropic drugs. It is very possible Lanza was on those. The Kenyan has made up a lot more flimsy stuff to suit his narrative.
It is known that Nancy Lanza was visiting various resident treatment facilities around the country for her son Adam. If she was doing that it is logical to ssume he had been assessed and treated by psychiatric providers. If so then he most certainly would be on some psychotropic medication. It is unreasonable to expect a person so disturbed that his mother was trying to get him into a treatment facility would not be medicated. What were the drugs? What was his diagnosis and treatment plan? What was on his computer and what information from his IP provider has been gleaned as to websites and bulletin boards he had visited prior to the shooting? What difficulties did Nancy Lanza encounter in her attempts to get him into a facility? Did Adam know how to drive and did he have a license? What does the surveillance tapes show outside the school and inside the hallway entrance? All these questions remain unanswered. Why? Why the rush to pass restrictions on our 2nd Amendment rights rather than expose the whole truth in this tragic event?
How do you know little bunny? The vast majority of the evidence gathered after the attack has gone the same way as the proof of that being bin Laden who was killed and dumped into the ocean. IOW, it disappeared down the ( ahem ) rabbit hole. Right after the attack the LEO´s announced that they had strong evidence of the reason for Lanza´s rampage. Where is the evidence and why is it being hidden?
Re: #1 - What the article stated: "But where, I´d like to ask my colleagues in the media, is the reporting about the psychiatric medications the perpetrator -- who had been under treatment for mental-health problems -- may have been taking?" "May" have been taking - key word.
SInce #1 purports to know the truth, why not enlighten us as to why tens of millions of law abiding citizens, including those of us who have shed blood for our freedoms, are to be blamed by those whose agenda - regardless of massacres committed by the criminally insane - is and always has been pushing gun control and ultimately disarming citizens?
WASHINGTON- Democratic Representative Mel Watt´s nomination to lead the agency that regulates taxpayer-owned mortgage financiers Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac cleared a procedural hurdle in the U.S. Senate, putting it on course for final approval likely later on Tuesday. President Barack Obama nominated Watt in May to head the Federal Housing Finance Agency, but Republicans had blocked a final vote. Last month, however, Senate Democrats changed the rules to allow nominees like Watt to overcome filibusters with a simple majority in the 100-seat chamber. Previously, it took 60 votes.
The generous mystery tipper who has been leaving waiters and waitresses across the country thousands of dollars in "Tips for Jesus" — and stamped with the @tipsforjesus handle — was identified by a New York City waiter as Jack Selby, former PayPal vice president. Aruj Dhawan, a waiter at Bo´s Kitchen, told the New York Post that Selby and two other patrons gave him a $1,000 tip on a $111.05 bill. "As I was about to drop the check off, one of the men said they would ‘make my night.’ They called me over, gave me the check," Dhawan told
General Motors GM -0.22% CEO Dan Akerson and the GM board have selected product chief Mary Barra to succeed him, the company said today, and Akerson is retiring in January. The move will make 33-year GM veteran Barra the first woman to lead a global automaker. Arguably, it will make her the highest-profile female CEO in the world. It also set in motion a cascade of other management changes in the biggest re-set of the automaker’s leadership since the 2009 U.S.-government bailout. But all the moves were internal. Akerson accelerated the timing of his exit by several months because of
Democrats have blamed much of the gridlock on Capitol Hill on a number of GOP extremists who won’t accept legislation that is not perfect in their minds. Asked by Kenneth G. Langone, the co-founder of Home Depot, whether there are any extremists in the Democratic ranks, House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer said no. “I don’t think there are any extremists in my party,” the Maryland Democrat said on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.” Mr. Langone expressed disbelief at the comment. “What more can I say,” he said. “The other guys are the bad guys, you are the good guys.” Mr. Hoyer said
“Netflix is casting its vote for Mitt Romney,” quipped The Hollywood Reporter. The video streaming service has acquired a Greg Whiteley documentary titled “Mitt” that will debut January 24. The behind-the-scenes documentary on Romney’s campaigns for president from 2006 to 2012 with a “surprising level of access” to the candidate will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 17. Lisa Nishimura, Netflix vice president of original documentary and comedy, declared "This rare inside look at Mitt Romney and his family as he runs for president showcases a unique kind of storytelling, one which takes the viewer well beyond the
Reporting from South Africa on Tuesday´s NBC Today about the memorial ceremony for Nelson Mandela, Nightly News anchor Brian Williams noted how the "dignitary section has some criminals, some thieves, some kings, some presidents" and that "Several have been life-long sworn enemies." He then proclaimed that President Obama´s "handshake with [Cuban leader] Raul Castro was one of the better moments." [View video after the jump] Williams gushed that oppressive dictators sitting side by side with democratically elected leaders of the free world was somehow part of Mandela´s legacy: "What would Nelson Mandela say to all of them and say to
The Club for Growth said Tuesday it won´t help Rep. Steve Stockman´s (R-Texas) primary challenge against Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas). The conservative group said it has no problem with Cornyn and won´t spend the millions of dollars necessary to help the cash-strapped Stockman in the race. “While Congressman Stockman has a pro-economic growth record, so does Senator Cornyn, as witnessed by his 87 percent lifetime Club for Growth score,” Club for Growth President Chris Chocola said in a statement. Chocola said the Club´s PAC looks at the strength of the incumbent´s record, the degree of difference between the candidates and
A veteran Washington adviser who has worked for four Presidents on both sides of the political aisle said that the stunning Government Accountability Report report that found President Barack Obama has not had a one-on-one meeting with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius since the passage of Obamacare over three years ago is an indictment of the entire White House operation and shows that the Obama administration has bordered on "malfeasance." "I have no doubt the White House is right, that Secretary Sebelius was in several group meetings with the president about health care," Gergen caveated, "but the whole
President Barack Obama’s Facebook page on Saturday posted a message honoring the dead from Pearl Harbor—accompanied by a picture of Obama descending the stairs next to the Pearl Harbor Memorial. The picture barely fits the name of the Arizona Memorial so it can frame Obama in the foreground. The post´s statement reads: Today, with solemn pride and reverence, let us remember those who fought and died at Pearl Harbor, acknowledge everyone who carried their legacy forward, and reaffirm our commitment to upholding the ideals for which they served. President Obama The Obama Administration´s current shipbuilding plan shrinks the size of
A black fashion student says he was brutally attacked by a gang of Hasidic men who shouted anti-gay slurs at him while he was walking through Williamsburg after a night of partying, the Daily News has learned. Taj Patterson, 22, was headed home to Fort Greene around 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 1 when he says more than a dozen ultra-Orthodox Jewish men began assaulting him on Flushing Ave. and yelling, “Stay down, f----t!”
Just how much do many Hollywood liberals hate conservatives? In an interview with Playboy, Ben Affleck said, "When I watch a guy [on film] I know is a big Republican, part of me thinks, I probably wouldn’t like this person if I met him": PLAYBOY: You developed a political profile campaigning for presidential candidates Al Gore, John Kerry and Barack Obama. How did that come about? AFFLECK: I grew up in a house with a mother who was a teacher and a Freedom Rider—very left-wing Democrats living in a heterogeneous working-class neighborhood. I picked up a lot of those values there, and I
On his way to the podium at the memorial ceremony for former South African president Nelson Mandela, President Obama walked down the line of dignitaries, greeting other leaders there to pay their respects. Among the hands shaken: that of Cuban leader Raul Castro. Obama neither made a special effort to shake Castro’s hand nor to avoid him. A snub might have been awkward: In his speech, Obama praised Mandela’s “greatest gift” as “his recognition that we are all bound together in ways that can be invisible to the eye; that there is a oneness to humanity; that we achieve ourselves by
A “presidential selfie” featuring President Barack Obama, British Prime Minister David Cameron, and Denmark’s Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt at Nelson Mandela’s memorial service began making the rounds this morning, but it’s the person not included in the frame who caught everyone’s attention: As anyone with two eyes and a Twitter account has noticed, Michelle Obama does not appear amused. Of course, though a picture says a thousand words, not all of those words are necessarily true. FLOTUS might not have even known the photo was taking place. Or she could disapprove of funeral selfies. Either way.
The Obama State Department has finally released a second round of photos revealing the harrowing devastation wrought by a terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012. The new photographs depict rampant damage to the consulate. They show charred walls, smoldering fires, Arabic graffiti defacing exterior walls, and scattered debris throughout. The extent of the damage would lead any reasonably serious person to conclude that this was a cold, calculated attack, carefully coordinated to mark the 11th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001. Unfortunately for the American people, the Obama-Clinton-Rice cabal that led to the Benghazi cover-up was
