| President Obama said on Friday that the United States is moving toward a “responsible end” to the war in Afghanistan that has lasted for 12 years. (Snip) He also applauded an agreement to turn over control of prisons that house terrorism suspects from the United States to Afghanistan. Mr. Karzai said that these steps, which the Afghans consider important to regaining full sovereignty over their country, would enable him to support a demand by the Obama administration that all American troops remaining in the country after 2014 be granted immunity from prosecution under Afghan law.

So, what we have negotiated by 0bama, after 12 years of our blood, sweat, and tears in Afghanistan, is to accede to the wishes of Karzai for a "promise" that our troops won´t later face prosecution under Afghan law, a truly lawless nation, especially when we leave.
There is no doubt in my mind that 0bama, and whoever is encouraging him, is out to destroy our country. And, the next four years have not started...yet. Can we truly survive this onslaught from within?

Wait a minute, this was the good war. Iraq was the war he would never have started. So Bush achieves victory and he can´t even negotiate immunity for our troops until he can cut and run?

One sock puppet, talking to another. One wasted war, many wasted lives, and AQ is going to get all their imprisoned fighters out to attack our retreat/defeat. Their rules of engagement kills our troopts on sight, Obama´s require us to take bullets, but not shoot back if there are civilians about. Just like those sneaky muslims to set up attacks we can´t respond to, and booby trap children to get to us.

It´s not like there are no precedents for a US Administration refusing to fight a war. Maybe we should do some surveys before we repeat it in Afghanistan?
Ask the North Koreans how the last 55-plus years have been.
Ask a huge bunch of people from the countries in Indo-China how things wen-- What? What´s that? Oh. You sure? Well. Never mind, I guess.

So in the future when terrorists use Afghan as a planning spot, a training place, and launch some action which causes losses here, and we have to go back and re-do the job again ...

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration issued its 2013 Atlantic hurricane outlook on Thursday, with a warning that the United States could be hit by up to six major hurricanes this year. The seasonal average is three. Oceanic and atmospheric conditions in the Atlantic basin are expected to create stronger and more hurricanes, setting the stage for an “above normal and extremely active” season, said Gerry Bell, lead seasonal hurricane forecaster for NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center, who explained the underlying reasons in a NOAA video.

Washington - Lois Lerner, the head of the Internal Revenue Service’s division on tax-exempt organizations, was put on administrative leave Thursday, a day after she invoked the Fifth Amendment and declined to testify before a House committee investigating her division’s targeting of conservative groups. Lawmakers from both parties said Thursday that senior I.R.S. officials had requested Ms. Lerner’s resignation but that she refused, forcing them to put her on leave instead. One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday. The friend said he left the interview, and when he came back to the apartment he found that there had been a shooting.

The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
