| Ever since Al Gore sold Current TV to Al Jazeera, the network founded and funded by the oil-rich emirate of Qatar, the former vice president has drawn continuous fire in conservative media. Fox News, the New York Post and The Wall Street Journal, for example, have all castigated Gore, a man of the Left and leading avatar of "global warming," for such hypocrisies as timing the deal to avoid Lefty tax hikes and bagging $100 million in greenhouse-gas money. These same news outlets share something else in common: They all belong to Rupert Murdoch´s News Corp.

This is certainly not an uplifting article. It looks like we will never get unfiltered news in this country. Most of us here were aware of the Fox/bin Talal connection. The fact that Al Jazeera and the Muslim Brotherhood are closely related is very disturbing.

I noticed a difference in Fox about the time the prince bought into the network and quit watching. Didn´t know why network changed but now it makes sense.

So, watching Fox during the primaries, it was obvious that Romney was getting the lion´s share of the time in what should have been general coverage...unless one of the other primary candidates made a mistake, that is.
Saudi Arabia is deciding who the Republican candidate for President should be?
Time for Murdoch to straighten out and fly right. Fox is losing viewership. These days, I only watch Greta, and sometimes Hannity and that´s all.

The idea that Nancy Pelosi would again become Speaker after the 2014 elections was always something of a Democrat fantasy. It may be a good story to get a lefty to sleep at night, but it wasn´t likely to happen. In the last 100 years, only once has a President´s party picked up seats in the sixth year of a term. Redistricting in 2011 has put many of the seats the Democrats need out of reach. Whatever confluence of events Democrats envisioned would allow them to retake the House have been swept aside by the IRS scandal.

Virginia Republicans have chosen have conservative minister E.W. Jackson as the nominee for lieutenant governor — making him, according to the Associated Press, the first black candidate the party has nominated for statewide office since 1988. In the past, it appears Jackson has made some charged remarks about President Obama. As BuzzFeed’s Andrew Kaczynski noted, Jackson is the man behind STAND America PAC, which aims to “recruit and support conservative black candidates to run against liberals in Congressional Black Caucus districts.” Jackson also ran a blog where he wrote about Obama’s “Muslim perspective” toward the world and Israel.

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.
