| Many Americans, since the Sandy Hook massacre, have been disgusted by Piers Morgan´s snooty condescension toward their great country, and his blatant disregard for the Second Amendment.(snip)I can say with confidence that Piers is being either intellectually dishonest, or downright ignorant, if he believes that the USA should imitate the diabolical disaster that has been British gun control. The first thing to be observed is that his very usage of Britain as an example for the U.S. to follow is proof that his claim only to want to ban certain assault weapons like the AR-15 is an outrageous lie

IMHO this one kinda goes with the article written by the Russian from yesterday´s must reads.
We should listen to the experience of others who have "lived it". And not those parading around with privileges and means to remain "above the system".
This impacts the man on the street more so than any entitled, political, wealthy, Hollywood/Entertainer type class.
We should remember that.

Violent crimes in Great Britain = 2051 per 100,000. Violent crimes in the USA = 466 per 100,000.
End of story.

Hey, Morgan. Why don´t you leave this hell-hole of a country and go back to the paradise you came from?

Let´s face it. CNN´s Piers Morgan is simply one of those "limeys" who has never forgiven America for what happened in 1776.

We all knew that Piers Morgan was a snooty, pompous, self-pretentious ax. But Adam Shaw shows him to be dishonest and duplicitous as well.

Piers Morgan is only trying to boost his pathetic ratings. I suggest he stick the Magna Carta where the sun don´t shine, and the rest of us ignore this inconsequential creature.

Lets face it. Piers Morgan is on the take, or his job is on the line for it. He hates our way of life then he should go back to the UK if its so good over there.

The UN ranked the US eighth in overall violent crime rates in industrialized nations, lower than almost all of Europe. In that same report it was noted that the fastest growing violent crime in Britain was home invasion, armed robbery while the homeowners are present. The reason for this particular crime upsurge is one of those always discounted unintended consequences.
Apparently in britain in order to get home owners insurance you must install a burglar alarm.
The burglars now know two things, when you are home your burglar alarm will not go off and you will have nothing more than the fireplace poker to defend yourself with. Very easy pickings for a thug with a gun (Something which is apparently as difficult to get in London as Fish and Chips).
Does anyone think home invasions in the US would skyrocket if Insurance required a burglar alarm? I rather doubt it, exept in Putnam and Westchester counties where the burglar simply needs to look in the newspaper to get the address of a safe B&E victim.
Watch Britain (and all of Europe) try and cope with their suddenly appearing gang problems. The Middle easterners control the drug trade, and they are getting more and more violent.
The gun free utopian paradise that is Britain and the EU may well start competing with the US as cartels of drug smugglers start fighting over Manchesters corners.

I neither care what Piers Morgan thinks about anything, nor what anybody thinks about Piers Morgan.
That´s a kind of symmetry I find both appealing and useful.

Remember president Obama´s first pitch of the MLB 2010 season at the Washington Nationals ballpark? It sailed towards the home team dugout. While he couldn´t throw a baseball within ten feet of home plate -- even if it took a double bounce on the way in -- Obama has tossed perfect incendiary strikes inside his own clubhouse, sending his entire team to the disabled list, demoted to the minor leagues, or banned from the game for life. In fact Obama´s entire liberal-progressive league has forfeited the rest of the season -- and then some.

Hey, liberals! Obama thinks you are stupid. Yeah, he really does. He knew Benghazi was terrorism before he didn´t know it was terrorism. Addressing a question about Benghazi in his press conference Monday, May 13, 2013, Obama´s "logic" really made an impression: "The Day after it happened I acknowledged that this was an act of terrorism." (snip) Leaving behind Obama´s initial certitude about Benghazi having been a terror attack, not only did he not know what had happened because it wasn´t clear

What person ever says what he really knows at a funeral? Eulogies bearing little or no resemblance to the deceased or to the facts are trotted out by people who are often bad actors, who though they know better, lie anyway. It´s almost acceptable behavior. But any truth about the deaths of U.S. Ambassador Christ Stevens and three other Americans appears to have been put six feet under as far as our current administration is concerned. (snip)Did they love Chris Stevens the way Brutus loved Caesar?

Somewhere, Andrew Breitbart is smiling. You can almost see the metaphorical light bulbs going on in bubbles over the heads of liberal media figures. Obama loyalists are expressing outrage at the subpoenaing of the phone records of 20 lines serving over a hundred AP reporters. The timing could not be better.(snip) the AP scandal´s significance entirely lies with its effect on the media´s mindset on Obama. They have been cheerleading for him for six years,

Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell was convicted yesterday on three counts of first-degree murder, not to mention a slew of other charges, including involuntary manslaughter (for the death of 41-year-old Karnamaya Mongar), infanticide, and abortions past Pennsylvania´s legal limit. (snip)in a culture dominated by the 24-hour news cycle, it will be easy for Americans to consider the abortion issue closed with the Gosnell verdict. The pro-life movement´s challenge, as [Lila] Rose says, is to keep the American people focused on how common Gosnell-like practices are in the abortion industry, and on all the unsung victims abortion

Did Barack Obama in effect steal the election in 2012? It is impossible to know, of course, how matters would have played it if Americans had been told the truth about Benghazi. And what if the IRS had not hobbled conservative nonprofits (and therefore the movement) with extra scrutiny and consequent delay and expenses? But there can be no doubt that Obama helped himself by being able to claim that Al Qaeda was "on the run" and with an assist from Candy Crowley make Mitt Romney look bad on when he criticized Obama´s anti-terror policies.

The re-election of Barack Obama is the high water mark and the end of an era. The period 1960 to 2014 will go down in American history as the era of never-ending crusades leading to the decline and potential downfall of the United States. During this time frame America has been inundated with one cause after another. The essential civil rights movement and the tragically successful Viet Nam protests spawned numerous causes, among them: feminism, environmentalism, global warming, and gay rights. For each generation born after 1940 it has been a rite of passage

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement

While many Americans were tuned into news coverage of the massive damage from tornadoes ravaging the state of Oklahoma, Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse took to the Senate floor to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Whitehouse spent 15 minutes chastising GOP senators and justified his remarks by alluding to states that seek federal assistance in the wake of natural disasters. “So, you may have a question for me,” Whitehouse said. “Why do you care? Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.

U.S. Sen. John McCain bucked the party line coming from many of his fellow conservatives this morning, saying suggestions that compare the trio of scandals gripping the White House to Watergate are “overreaching.” “I think it’s overreaching. We need a full and complete investigation and then we will decide the dimensions of it,” said McCain while campaigning for Republican Senate candidate Gabriel Gomez in Dorchester. “It is terrible but we have to have a full investigation before we leap to conclusions.” The maverick’s caution is a sharp contrast to the response of many Republicans
