The abortion of unwanted girls
taking place in the UK

Telegraph [UK], by Rowena Mason

Original Article

The Government was on Thursday night urged to open an inquiry after officials found signs that birth rates for girls and boys vary noticeably according to where their mothers were born. A health minister said that these differences in rates of male and female births among mothers of certain nationalities may “fall outside the range considered possible without intervention”. It forms the first official statistical evidence potentially backing up concerns that sex-selection abortions are being carried out in Britain. Andrew Lansley, the former health secretary, last year criticised the “illegal and morally wrong” practice

So pro-abortion people become anti-abortion when they don´t like the reason for the abortion. What happened to "my body, my rights"? Anti-abortion people are the only ones with some logical consistency, it seems. Oh, and morals.

Hearing "congratulations, it´s a girl!" was the thrill of my life. I´ll never understand the cultural hatred of baby girls.

Me either, #2. Kinda doesn´t make much sense. If it wasn´t for baby girls, none of us would have mothers...

Once you ignore that abortion is murder the sex of the victim is of minor concern.

How many paragraphs did it take (5? 6?) to finally say, "India and China"...shame Telegraph.

On another note, I just wonder if I were an Indian mother knowing my baby was going to be a girl and also knowing what her life would be like in later years...(as evidenced in recent articles...I just have to wonder how I would feel.

Please don´t understand, I am as straight-down-the line-pro-life as anyone on this site. I just wonder about things sometimes.

Remember ............ it´s perfectly to abort on the basis of the baby´s sex here in the US ............. the bill to outlaw sex selection abortion was defeated last year in Congress.

When it´s about little girls, it´s not a War against Women. It´s a war against the human race. Little girls are the only source for people.

From the way that Muslims treat their little girls and women, I´m sure that they should be included on that list. The Telegraph just doesn´t have the guts to admit it. And Britain is overrun with Muslims.

It is amusing sometimes to watch a liberal try to defend the founder of PP, Margaret Sanger and her nasty principles. There is no defense for such a murderer.

After an agreement to “de-escalate tensions and restore security” in Ukraine was announced Thursday, Secretary of State John F. Kerry was very explicit about U.S. expectations. “We fully expect the Russians?.?.?. to demonstrate their seriousness by insisting that the pro-Russian separatists who they’ve been supporting lay down their arms [and] leave the buildings” in eastern Ukraine, he said. “I made clear to Foreign Minister [Sergei] Lavrov today that if we are not able to see progress?.?.?. this weekend, then we will have no choice but to impose further costs on Russia.” The weekend has come and gone, and far from

Any notion that the Obama administration might be taking its deliberations over the proposed Keystone XL pipeline seriously went up in smoke late Friday, when the State Department announced a delay that will push a final decision past the November midterm elections. It was a weekend news dump on steroids — on Good Friday, buried under the weight of so many chocolate Easter bunnies. But the White House cannot avoid scrutiny of such a nakedly political decision — not given the stakes. The delay will please the liberal activists and wealthy green elites who propel Democratic campaigns. But it will do so at

So now we know why the Democrats are adopting economic inequality as their central issue: because their constituents, the people who live under policies crafted by the left, are the ones who experience the highest degree of income inequality in their own lives. That’s the upshot of a recent study of income inequality organized by congressional district: “Across the country, inequality is lower in Republican districts than in Democratic ones” and is “highest in the New York City district of Representative Jerry Nadler, a liberal Democrat.” Who has the congressional district with the least income inequality? That would be Tea Party

Mrs. Clinton’s New Memoir

Yesterday on a panel on “Face the Nation,” we briefly discussed Hillary Clinton’s forthcoming memoir of her four years as secretary of state. It is called “Hard Choices”—they appear to be running low at the book-title store—and will be published June 10. The announcement of the title alone made news, which is a measure of how much interest the book, good or bad, will engender. Books are good and it’s good to write them; the always more or less beleaguered publishing industry needs bestsellers, and Mrs. Clinton has provided them, most spectacularly with her previous memoir, “Living History,” in 2003.

Here´s a bit of good news for nervous Democrats: President Barack Obama´s health-care law isn´t going to be the albatross many feared it would be in this year´s congressional elections. Enrollment has soared, and the Congressional Budget Office estimates that the program will cost less than initially projected and that premiums will rise only slightly this year. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid aren´t popping the Champagne, however. The economy could clobber Democrats in November. And the president continues to alternate between telling Americans how much better things are and deploring how many are being left

President Barack Obama announced triumphantly that 8 million people selected a private insurance plan through the health care exchanges created by legislation known as Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act. He added his own interpretation of the numbers: "This thing is working." At the same time, however, Democratic candidates across the country still see the health care law as a drag on their campaigns in the midterm elections. After four years of trying, there is still no evidence that the president´s signature piece of legislation has become popular. If the law was really working, and voters were excited about it, Democratic

Last Thursday, the president announced the Obamacare debate over for the second time this month. The pretext for his repetition of this talking point was yet another implausible claim concerning the number of people his health care law has helped gain coverage. (snip) If you feel that President Obama is protesting a bit too much, you are not alone. Public opinion surveys consistently show that most Americans still oppose Obamacare. Moreover, a growing number of Americans believe the president to be a habitual liar. According to a new Fox News poll, “Thirty-seven percent think Obama lies ‘most of the time.’

The Obama administration is poised to entertain a flood of new clemency applications from thousands of federal prisoners who were given harsh sentences under mandatory-minimum laws following drug convictions, Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday. Holder said in a short videotaped statement that he wants to shrink the federal prison population by a modest amount while ensuring ´that those who have paid their debts have a chance to become productive citizens.´ At the center of the move is a set of old sentencing rules that punished crack-cocaine offenders with more time behind bars than users or traffickers of powder cocaine.

Former Sen. Bob Dole (R-Kan.) said a number of junior GOP senators considering a presidential run in 2016 do not yet have the experience — specifically naming Rand Paul (Ky.), Marco Rubio (Fla.) and Ted Cruz (Texas). The former 1996 GOP presidential candidate sounded particularly skeptical of Cruz in an interview this week with The Wichita Eagle. "A number of the younger members, first-termers like Rand Paul, Rubio and that extreme-right-wing guy, Ted Cruz — all running for president now. I don´t think they´ve got enough experience yet," Dole said. The 90-year-old former senator said, however, his main concern about 2016 is living

If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. Certainly he will have the resources to outlast, discredit, and disqualify his rivals.

Washington - Michelle Obama said "splurging is the key to life" if you regularly eat right and stay active. Her biggest guilty pleasure: French fries. "How would you appreciate vegetables if you never had chocolate?" she asked. "You couldn´t live without a little chocolate, a little French fries." The first lady took questions from children reporters Monday after appearing at the White House Easter Egg Roll. She told the children that if they eat right the majority of the time, then a splurge or snack is not going to hurt them. "I still splurge when I can, but that's why I try to exercise almost every day," she said.

The Citizens Commission on Benghazi, a self-selected group of former top military officers, CIA insiders and think-tankers, declared Tuesday in Washington that a seven-month review of the deadly 2012 terrorist attack has determined that it could have been prevented – if the U.S. hadn´t been helping to arm al-Qaeda militias throughout Libya a year earlier. ´The United States switched sides in the war on terror with what we did in Libya, knowingly facilitating the provision of weapons to known al-Qaeda militias and figures,´ Clare Lopez, a member of the commission and a former CIA officer, told MailOnline. There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey. Because the Census Bureau’s surveys are scientific — meaning

New audio reveals an Eastern Connecticut State University professor warning that Republicans will “want things to go back — not to to 1955, but to 1855? if they win control of Congress in November. Republican victories could also put him out of a job, he cautioned. “We will live in a very, very, very different kind of country if that happens,” Professor Brent Terry told students in his Introduction to Creative Writing course, according to audio obtained by Campus Reform. “I mean, colleges will start closing up if these people have their way.” Over the course of his rant, Terry characterized conservatives
