Obama jokes Jack Lew´s
loopy signature could ´debase
our currency´ as he makes him
official pick for Treasury Secretary

Daily Mail (UK), by Toby Harden

President Barack Obama today formally nominated his chief of staff Jacob ´Jack´ Lew as Treasury Secretary and joked that he had considered abandoning the nomination after learning of his illegible signature. The president was responding to criticism of Lew´s scrawl which has been compared to a spring or a curly French fry - and how if it is not changed could become an international embarrassment as the Treasury Secretary´s signature always graces the dollar bill. ‘Jack assures me that he is going to work to make at least one letter legible in order not to debase our currency

Comments:
The Won´s signature has done far more debasing (think Obamacare, stimuli, etc.).

It´s always somebody else´s fault.

Do we need a man who is incapable of writing his name in government?

The loopy signature isn´t as offensive as the $800,000 plus bonus he took from his taxpayer bailed out Citibank.

Lew and the other appointees will be very dangerous for the country.

Lew boldly lies about the state of our fiscal situation, and he absolutely refuses to talk about reducing entitlement programs by as much as 1 cent. Lew is in this for Obama, not to serve the American people.

We are in so much trouble with these radical appointees.

Obama must be back on crack.

He stated that Geithner will be known as the best Treasury Secretary ever.

Said he lowered the deficit, blah blah blah.

And so we focus on Lew´s signature?????

WAKE UP.

Obie´s public remarks are turning into Vegas lounge show standup acts, the openers for the bigger stars. He´s spent so much time on Letterman and Leno that he thinks he is one of them.

His misguided, ill-timed humor makes him look the fool and sickens us when we are his audience.

Obama knows Lew is going to debase the currency. That´s why he was appointed. More debt. Redo the numbers so that inflation is not recognized. Call the falling exchange rate due to an overvalued Chinese Yuan. Meanwhile, America´s standard of living fell 10% in Obama´s first term. The second term will show another 15% fall in living standards. America will enjoy failure and decay. Fed up blue state citizens will be forced to emigrate to the red states.

Too late. President Downgrade already debased our currency. The first grade scrawl would simply make it on a par with the mindset of the low information dolts.

The Hague-—President Barack Obama, seeking to shift the trajectory of the crisis in Ukraine, will press U.S. allies Monday to suspend Russia from the Group of Eight leading nations and to adopt more sweeping sanctions against the Russian economy, administration officials said. Mr. Obama will argue for those steps in an emergency meeting Monday evening with leaders of the world´s top seven economies, held on the sidelines of a nuclear security summit in The Hague, officials said. "We believe that there is no reason for the G-7 countries to engage with Russia going forward based on its behavior," Ben Rhodes,

Advertising executives didn’t need a scientific study to surmise what would draw young adults to ads that encourage people to buy health insurance through the Affordable Care Act.They went with skin – lots of it. “He may not be naked. He could be wearing a Speedo,” Wendy Wolf said with a laugh, referring to an ad showing a young man who is otherwise unclothed but covered by a strategically placed laptop computer. “Dude, it’s time to get covered,” proclaims the ad for www.enroll207.com that ran this week in the Portland Phoenix alternative newspaper. Washington--One in five people who signed up for health insurance under the new health care law failed to pay their premiums on time and therefore did not receive coverage in January, insurance companies and industry experts say. Paying the first month’s premium is the final step in completing an enrollment. Under federal rules, people must pay the initial premium to have coverage take effect. In view of the chaotic debut of the federal marketplace and many state exchanges, the White House urged insurers to give people more time, and many agreed to do so. But, insurers said, some people missed

DENVER — Helping the terminally ill end their lives, condemned for decades as immoral, is gaining traction. Banned everywhere but Oregon until 2008, it is now legal in five states. Its advocates, who have learned to shun the term “assisted suicide,” believe that as baby boomers watch frail parents suffer, support for what they call the “aid in dying” movement will grow further. In January, the New Mexico Supreme Court authorized doctors to provide lethal prescriptions and declared a constitutional right for “a competent, terminally ill patient to choose aid in dying.” Last May, the Vermont Legislature passed a law

Washinton--A Congressional Budget Office analysis released Tuesday predicted that the Affordable Care Act would shrink the work force by the equivalent of more than two million full-time positions and recharged the political debate over the health care law, providing Republican opponents fresh lines of attack and putting Democrats on the defensive. The nonpartisan budget office’s analysis, part of a regular update to its budget projections, was far more complicated than the Republican attack lines it generated. Congressional Republican leaders called the findings “devastating,” “terrible” and proof that the health care law was a job killer. (Snip)Senator Joe Manchin III, Democrat

Secretary of State John Kerry must be really desperate to win the Nobel Peace Prize. So much so, he seems willing to continually force the state of Israel into untenable positions that put its security at risk. On this very topic last month, Israeli Minister of Defense Moshe Yaalon said Kerry "came here very determined and operates based upon an unfathomable obsession and Messianic feeling . . . "Throughout the recent months, there is no negotiation between us and the Palestinians, but rather between us and the Americans. The only thing that can ´save´ us is that John Kerry will

War On Banks: Attorney General Eric Holder has opened up a new front against car lenders and has forged an alliance with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to frame them for racism, too. We don´t use the term "frame" capriciously, certainly not like Holder uses the charge of racism. His department and the president´s new consumer credit watchdog agency, CFPB, have announced a new settlement with Ally Bank for nearly $100 million. It´s the largest fair lending deal against the auto industry and the third-largest ever to resolve charges of lending discrimination. Throw in four new mortgage-lender settlements over equally

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too
