| Paris—Senior African Anglican leaders have lined up to denounce the Church of England’s decision to allow celibate gay bishops, warning it would only widen the divisions within the worldwide Anglican Communion. Archbishop Nicholas Okoh of Nigeria, effectively the largest province in the Communion, said such reforms “could very well shatter whatever hopes we had for healing and reconciliation within our beloved Communion.” His comments yesterday followed similar denunciations on Monday by Ugandan Archbishop Stanley Ntagali and Archbishop Eliud Wabukala of Kenya, who is also head of the Gafcon group of traditionalist Anglican primates opposed to gay clergy.

To me, you don´t define your religious premises by voting. The Anglican Church is doomed.

I wonder when the faithful Anglicans will get over the "if you guys do just one more thing..." stage and cut the cord for good. There will always be "one more thing" with liberals, either political or religious.

The House voted to repeal ObamaCare on Thursday for the third time since Republicans took over the chamber in 2011. Only two Democrats sided with Republicans in the party-line 229-195 vote — Jim Matheson (Utah) and Mike McIntyre (N.C.). All Republicans voted in favor of repeal. A former administrator at the New York nonprofit that distributes German reparations to Holocaust survivors was convicted yesterday of running a $57 million fraud that used Russian immigrants to pose as victims of the Nazis. A Manhattan federal jury deliberated five hours before finding Semen Domnitser guilty of conspiracy and mail fraud. Oksana Romalis and Luba Kramrish were also convicted of swindling the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany. Domnitser, Romalis and Kramrish were the only three of 31 defendants to maintain their innocence in what US Attorney Preet Bharara called “unthinkable crimes.”

Katherine Russell, the widow of Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev, has added an attorney experienced with terrorism cases to her legal team, according to The Associated Press. So allow us to do the work for him: There is no comparison. Nixon, in a series of crimes that collectively came to be known as Watergate, directed from the White House and Justice Department a concerted campaign against those he perceived as political enemies, in the process subverting the FBI, the IRS, other government agencies and the electoral process to his nefarious purposes.
