| WASHINGTON—I have one question about the way Majority Leader Harry Reid has been conducting the Senate. Has he committed a felony or a mere misdemeanor? The wags will say that a politician from Nevada does not commit misdemeanors, but I am in earnest. The difference between whether Dingy Harry—as he is known by the eminent political scientist Dr. Rush Limbaugh—shuffles off to a federal prison or merely pays a hefty fine is significant. I suppose we can leave it to the federal prosecutors to decide, but if he gets off on a misdemeanor

It´s actually pretty funny to think liberals would preform their constitutional duties when they hate every iota of the document to begin with.
Conservatives,meanwhile are derided for following the same document which has been a governmental roadmap for 200 years of success in this country despite the new army of leeches created by the Great Society and other social justice programs.

I guess my name is No one, because if Dingy is going to be writing laws, Dingy should abide by them or pay the consequences. Besides, this is probably the tip of the iceberg of the crimes this sorry idiot has committed.

Does anyone ever really look at Horry´s true background? He was a boxer (bantam weight, I believe, like chickens)..... think he came out of that undamaged? He fought the Las Vegas mobs.... think he came out of that unscathed and as pure as he went into it?
Check how ... geez, everything about him. He has lived a very ´´self-generous´´ adulthood.

I wonder how many good bills from the House are stacked like cordwood in Harry´s office because they came from Republicans. He no more has the good of this country in mind than Obama and Pelosi do.

While the Founders stipulated in the constitution that the Senate present a budget, they failed to stipulate the punishment for not doing so. Some use that as justification for nothing having been done about Reid’s blatant flaunting of his constitutional duty. But it is no justification at all. The Founders gave the Senate the power to hold Reid in contempt of Congress, and the Senators have a constitutional duty to do so.

Democrats fell far short of winning the House in 2012, an otherwise banner year for the party, and many are privately glum about taking back the chamber in 2014. But that grim immediate outlook raises a far more troubling longer-term prospect for Democrats: that the newly drawn congressional lines have tilted the electoral playing field so decisively in the GOP’s favor that the party could control the House through 2020. That this, in other words, could be the Democrats’ Lost Decade. Three of the past four elections have produced partisan upheaval, so political forecasting must be approached with caution.

Men´s Wearhouse no longer likes the way George Zimmer looks. Zimmer, the founder, chairman and the public face of the discount apparel chain, has been terminated by the company, according to a brief statement from the company. Men´s Wearhouse gave no reason for Zimmer´s departure -- which surfaced on Wednesday, just hours before the company postponed its annual shareholders meeting. A company spokesman declined comment but said Zimmer´s departure would not affect operations.

The ongoing saga of Edward Snowden has at least been moving in the right direction for President Obama. Snowden may once have tried to position himself as a whistleblower, but he has since devolved into ingratiating himself with authoritarian regimes by plying them with American national security secrets. While Pete is correct that the NSA story seems to be hurting voters’ opinion of Obama’s trustworthiness, Americans are by now realizing that they would be foolish to go the other extreme and place that trust in Snowden. An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.
