Krauthammer: ‘Unconstitutional’
gun confiscation ‘would cause
insurrection in the country’ [Video]

On Wednesday’s “Special Report,” Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer acknowledged a link between gun ownership and gun violence, but said Americans would revolt if Congress implemented sweeping, unprecedented gun control legislation. “I think we are going to end up exactly where we started,” Krauthammer said. “We’re probably going to try an assault weapons ban. It will be a little bit tighter, but it didn’t work. It lasted for 10 years … If we had honest debate, the gun owners would admit, ‘Yes of course, guns contribute to homicide.’ … Japan had 11 gun homicides last year.

Comments:
Yet, there are lawmakers that think this sort of act is the solution.

When you hear the word "insurrection," you have to think at least at the ballot box it´ll crush some Democrats.

First, Krauthammer was not talking about the ballot box when he used the word "insurrection."

Second, we are not subjects of a king. We are free men and women. We do NOT have to obey Obama´s "executive orders". Biden said some of the gun control is going to be enacted via executive orders. Obama is NOT our king. We are not his servants and subjects.

´Unconstitutional´ gun
confiscation ´would cause insurrection in the country´....

Make it so...

So Chuck and by extension (in his mind at least) the American people would be ok w/ constitutional gun control? One has to wonder why the adjective "constituional" was used as a modifier. Would not *any* form of confiscation result in what in god doctor suggests?

It was "insurrection" to King George.

It was the defense of inalienable liberty to George Washington.

Right, and vehicle ownership contributes to drunk driving homicides. Swimming pools contribute to child drowning accidents.

This ridiculous debate is starting to bore me. Bring it.

Some States will tell Barry to go to hell. Some will comply.

This could result in the first real, quantifiable division of this Nation since the Civil War, and I´m not sure it is a bad thing.

From a practical perspective, it will take an insurrection to clean out the hundreds of years of federal - and state - corruption. Take Pennsylvania - please.

What the liberal Democrats really would like to do is legalize most current illicit drugs, and clean out all the convicted drug dealers from federal and state prisons. That would leave a lot of empty cells in those prisons.

Then the liberal Democrats would like to ban the production and sale of all modern semi-automatic firearms in the USA, require the registration of all such firearms now owned by Americans, subject those Americans to a $200.00 tax per firearm, and then subsequently confiscate all those firearms over a period of years. Any American who did not obey those gun registration, tax, and confiscation laws would be subject to arrest, prosecution, and imprisonment.

The result being many American gun owners taking the place of the released drug dealers in American prisons. That is only one way that the liberal Democrats intend to transform America.

You can see why there just might be an insurrection in many parts of the USA.

What the Libscum would have us believe is that the right to keep and bear arms exists because of the Constitution. The reality is that the Constitution exists because of this right. Infringe it and the Republic falls apart because it is no longer legally valid.

Something is going to happen and Obama is intent on making it happen. Has anyone tried to buy a gun or ammo lately. The place I order from has a 3 mo wait on some of the ammo I usually order. The gov´t makes them send notices every couple of weeks to see if I want to cancel my order. No I don´t, in fact I may want to place another one. Don´t kid yourself folks, the libs are empowered by their victory last Nov and they are not going to stop until they take this country down.

Homeland security is already monitoring Facebook and sites like this for "troublemakers"- if any of us try to lead others during this ´insurrection´ those leaders will be evaporated by a drone strike and the revolt will be over before it even gets started.

Insurrection:
1. A rising against civil or political authority; the open and active opposition of a number of persons to the execution of law in a city or state.
2. A rising in mass to oppose an enemy.
Noah Websters 1828 Dictionary

We the People are the Constituted authority,
DC is the servant class, I guess you could say that make the pres the butler. Regardless we will not be in a state of insurrection, DC is and has been for over 150 years.

On his Friday radio show, conservative talker Mark Levin challenged support from for this current of immigration reform coming from prominent Republicans, particularly Jeb Bush and Karl Rove. Levin, author of “Ameritopia: The Unmaking of America,” began his attack by arguing some members of the Republican Party make policy gestures without mentioning the U.S. Constitution. “It amazes me how few Republicans in elected office actually talk about the Constitution,” Levin said. “They have no more respect for it, no more concern about its boundaries and limits than the left. That’s why I say they’re neo-statist.”

On Tuesday’s “Special Report” on the Fox News Channel, Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer argued that Attorney General Eric Holder is now a liability for President Barack Obama on either of two grounds: lying under oath or incompetence. Krauthammer said Holder’s remarks about his knowledge of the much-publicized Justice Department probe of Fox News Channel correspondent James Rosen suggested Holder was either out of it or had blatantly lied to Congress in testimony about his knowledge of the probe. “The fact that he says that the gravity of the situation didn’t sink in until yesterday makes you wonder

On Michael Graham’s Massachusetts-based radio show on Thursday, National Review columnist Mark Steyn reacted to the treatment of Lois Lerner, the now-suspended head of the Internal Revenue Service’s division on tax-exempt organizations. Lerner, who had asserted her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination during an appearance before the House Oversight Committee in a hearing on Wednesday, was the object of ridicule by Steyn on the show. “Is this a republic or is it not?” Steyn said. “Because, if it is what a republic is then you guys wasted your whole time with your revolution — because they are basically saying

Long before the Internal Revenue Service revealed it had improperly targeted conservative 501(c)(4) groups, a group of Democratic senators led by New York Sen. Chuck Schumer urged the IRS to do just that. The IRS’s admission last Friday that it had singled out tea party and other groups for extra audits and delays has raised concerns that President Barack Obama’s administration quietly attempted to stymy opponents through intimidation. But many prominent Democrats — including Montana Sen. Max Baucus, Americans United for the Separation of Church and State and the New York Times editorial board — had been

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

I kept waiting for the part when he would say something interesting, but, about three quarters of the way through, realised it wasn’t going to come. Judging from television pictures some of his young audience felt the same, after the initial rush of euphoria of receiving the rock star president in their midst had passed. Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
