Biden: Obama Considering
´Executive Order´ to Deal
With Guns

Weekly Standard, by Daniel Halper

Original Article

Vice President Joe Biden revealed that President Barack Obama might use an executive order to deal with guns. "The president is going to act," said Biden, giving some comments to the press before a meeting with victims of gun violence. "There are executives orders, there´s executive action that can be taken. We haven´t decided what that is yet. But we´re compiling it all with the help of the attorney general and the rest of the cabinet members as well as legislative action that we believe is required." Biden said that this is a moral issue and that "it´s critically important that we act." Biden talked also about taking responsible action.

This could be the "crisis" they´ve been counting on...law abiding, gun owning, American´s reaction to having their Second Amendment Rights forceably taken from them.

It does absolutely no good for conservatives to keep saying this is unconstitutional. Some action must be taken.

The radicals in charge will keep beating this drum until they are sure no one will fight back. Then...the guns are banned. This community organizing at its finest.

Bald-faced tyrannical actions such as these are why the 2d amendment exists.

So much for the ´preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States´ part of the oath of office.

An Executive Order would probably relate to ATF implementation of existing regulations, such as FFL holders. I read elsewhere that more than 100,000 firearms allegedly went missing from gun dealers last year. Probably annual ATF inventory audits are in the works with loss of of FFL if guns are unaccounted for and not reported missing.

Has anyone considered that Biteme is running this up the flagpole to judge our reactions, to see how well we join together, that any dissension on our part can then be exploited by adjusting the government response to our "unlawful resistance" to his "proper exercising of his governmental duties?"

For Biden to come out at this early stage and claim that Obama will deal with guns by way of an Executive Order, the Obama crew must have already received feedback that the over reaching gun control measures that the Obama Administration and other liberal Democrats are proposing does not have a chance to pass, especially through the Republican controlled House of Representatives.

You have to figure that there are a bunch of Democrats in Congress who will not vote to ban just about all modern firearms as the liberal Democrats propose. Remember next year the Democrats must defend 14 Senate seats and all their House seats. You can bet that a lot of those Democrats come from States where they would be unelectable if they vote for a firearms ban, not alone a $200.00 per firearm tax on law abiding Americans.

Last time the Democrats passed gun control they lost big time in the next election. They know that the same thing will happen again.

Given the current state of the USA, Republicans should be winning every election from Seattle to Key West. The international situation is in free fall with China becoming the global power, Iran making a mockery of faux negotiations and Putin on the way to reconstituting the Soviet Union. Al Qaeda is not only alive, it’s growing. (GM is dead.) Optimism about our country is in the proverbial toilet. More Americans feel threatened by their own

The age 21 rule sets the United States apart from all advanced Western nations, and it has pushed kids toward pills and other anti-social behavior. The National Minimum Drinking Age Act, passed by Congress 30 years ago this July, is a gross violation of civil liberties and must be repealed. It is absurd and unjust that young Americans can vote, marry, enter contracts, and serve in the military at 18 but cannot buy an alcoholic drink in a bar or restaurant. The age 21 rule sets the United States apart from all advanced Western nations and lumps it with small

Atheists who complained about pre-meeting prayers conducted by members of the Pismo Beach City Council in California can now claim a win. Council members say they’re going to stop saying prayers at public meetings and that the volunteer chaplain will no longer be invited to give the opening invocations, The Blaze reported. They’ve also agreed to pay a symbolic settlement of $1 to each of the the two plaintiffs — and another $47,500 to cover the two plaintiffs’ legal fees. The council members announced their decision on the heels of complaints filed by the out-of-state Freedom From Religion Foundation, which

- As promised on Monday, the Justice Department today released its new criteria for inmates who want their prison sentences reduced. Deputy Attorney General James M. Cole announced six "stringent standards" the department will consider when reviewing and expediting clemency applications from federal inmates. He also replaced the Bush administration appointee who heads DOJ´s Pardons office. Under the new initiative, DOJ will prioritize clemency applications from inmates who meet all of the following requirements:-- They are currently serving time in a federal prison and likely would have received a substantially lower sentence if convicted of the same offense(s) today;

The Obama administration is poised to entertain a flood of new clemency applications from thousands of federal prisoners who were given harsh sentences under mandatory-minimum laws following drug convictions, Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday. Holder said in a short videotaped statement that he wants to shrink the federal prison population by a modest amount while ensuring ´that those who have paid their debts have a chance to become productive citizens.´ At the center of the move is a set of old sentencing rules that punished crack-cocaine offenders with more time behind bars than users or traffickers of powder cocaine.

Former Sen. The former 1996 GOP presidential candidate sounded particularly skeptical of Cruz in an interview this week with The Wichita Eagle. "A number of the younger members, first-termers like Rand Paul, Rubio and that extreme-right-wing guy, Ted Cruz — all running for president now. I don´t think they´ve got enough experience yet," Dole said. The 90-year-old former senator said, however, his main concern about 2016 is living

If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. Certainly he will have the resources to outlast, discredit, and disqualify his rivals.

Washington - Michelle Obama said "splurging is the key to life" if you regularly eat right and stay active. Her biggest guilty pleasure: French fries. "How would you appreciate vegetables if you never had chocolate?" she asked. "You couldn´t live without a little chocolate, a little French fries." The first lady took questions from children reporters Monday after appearing at the White House Easter Egg Roll. She told the children that if they eat right the majority of the time, then a splurge or snack is not going to hurt them. "I still splurge when I can, but that's why I try to exercise almost every day," she said.

There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey. Because the Census Bureau’s surveys are scientific — meaning
