| The current state of the GOP brings to mind the surviving Marines in Aliens, with no shortage of demoralized hacks lamenting their inability to resist by channeling Private Hudson: “Maybe you haven´t been keeping up on current events but we just got our a**** kicked, pal!” So what? We didn´t need a leader in 2010. We don´t need a leader for 2014. This is a constitutional Republic, not France. What we do need is some better ideas: ´Barry is a Kenyan Marxist´ and ´lets shutdown the government and start a third party´ ain´t gonna cut it.
At this point, Barry is not the problem because he cannot run again. The GOP should focus on creating a schism in the Democrat party. To do that, they should play nice with Barry, approve his new cabinet with good humor and cheer. It will make democrats suspicious and irrational. When democrats are forced to cater to an irrational base, the GOP wins elections. Look at the Occupooper thing in 2010. Lets encourage Barry to be moderate -- all he really wants is to be liked. We can accommodate his deficit hiking proclivities by requesting keystone and expanded drilling on federal lands. We should be willing to give in just enough that he alone can own the lousy economy.

Liberty DOES need articulate, principled leaders who demonstrably MERIT the trust of we the people. ...Where are such champions for individual equality & Liberty today, just as they have ALWAYS been there for America´s Constitutional principles in the past?
The current statists, dem pols & their PC media are apparently attempting to place themselves far above everyone else, above even the laws which they themselves have finessed & legislated. Have they all but morphed into common thugs & thieves?! mmm mmm mmm

Attack the Democrats. Go after each member of Congress. Find their weaknesses and exploit them. Put them on the hot seat and make them do some explaining for awhile.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services says it wants as many as 20 percent of its workers to "telework," use an "alternative work schedule," or do both, in order to "reduce green house gas emissions," decrease "employee stress," and give these government workers more time for "planning and preparing healthy meals." So says one of the HHS "performance measures" detailed in an appendix to the department´s latest strategic plan. HHS´s performance measure "4.D.05" says: "Increase the percent employees on telework or on Alternative Work Schedule." Telework means working from home via phone and computer.

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

It began in earnest last Friday. A flash mob of latte drinking, tofu eating media that has done its best to quell, rather than fan the flames of truth, turned on one of their own. Jay Carney lay bludgeoned at the base of the podium, a victim of friendly fire. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.
