| On Tuesday night’s broadcast of “The O’Reilly Factor,” Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer said President Barack Obama will show “who he really is” in his second term. According to Krauthammer, Obama is already making good on his March 2012 comments to then-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev that he would have “more flexibility ” after Election Day. “I think what’s happening here is that in his second term, Obama is going to show who he really is,” Krauthammer said. “Remember what he said to the Soviet president, ‘After the election, I will be more flexible,’

But Dr. K., you said after his election to his first term that he would lead from the center - we´re a center-right country...
The first "black Prsidnet´ elected, and to two terms, what a success and the country thus dies.

The problem is not with him; it is with us, the voters. Isn´t it obvious? We do not want our children´s goodies handed to us by formerly successful leaders; we want them from people who have never accomplished anything in their lives. It is more symmetrical that way.

You have to wonder how much more he can do that he has kept hidden?
The list is already so long. Maybe selling the WH, rewriting the constitution, disbanding Congress entirely?
Let´s see - he could make a Muslim Sec of State, Sec of Defense.
He could arm the TSA and HHS - oh he has already done that. He could set up concentration camps through FEMA -
Not much left - except to institute Marshall Law. Should be a fun four years.

Some of my public union friends have just noticed that their social security payments are no longer being discounted. Their reaction: "What?!? Our taxes went up!" Those making over 200K just discovered that their medicare payment is going up .9%. It´s not even January 10 yet. For those of us who already knew ´who he really was´, it´s nice to see the sheeple wake up, but terrible to see this happen to the country.

Instead of verbally beating up Dr Krauthammer and Karl Rove for nonsensical reasons , the far right should wake up and smell the coffee or the sulfur. The circular firing squad , which always seems to be initiated by the far right , only helps Obama. In 2014 , if the House flips to the Democrats ( they just need 18 more seats ) and the Democrat Senate increases their numbers further, there will be nothing..nothing..Republicans can do to halt Obama his last 2 years in office. Nothing. The very limited legislative options that Republicans have now -will disappear . That is a nightmare scenario , which will no doubt include Supreme Court Justices. Krauthammer makes the point that Hagel will devastate the military as Obama desires, without Obama getting his hands dirty. Republicans do not have enough members in the Senate to prevent Hagel from being confirmed . And maybe if the far right had listened to the advice of Krauthammer and Rove and not made so many unelectables the nominees, the Senate would not be so heavily Democrat and House Republicans ( and the country ) would be in a much stronger position.

Does anyone trust Obama to respect the Constitution? Tinfoil hat time. I have a sense of foreboding that Obama will use his second term to do things that would have been unthinkable in the past. He seems to be laying groundwork as we speak. I believe he is preparing for insurrection. Insurrection he instigated BTW. Therefore, controlling guns and/or ammo will be essential. That he is starting now is not surprising. Call me a kook but something like an assassination attempt would be all he would need to assume "temporary" dictatorial powers to freeze the sale of guns and ammo. These could be the longest four years in recent history.

Radio host Dennis Miller and National Review columnist Mark Steyn considered Thursday the possible outcomes if the United States continues down the path of socialism. If socialism became the prevailing governing philosophy, Miller speculated, escaping it wouldn’t require a move to the Australian outback. Instead he suggested heading for the state of Texas, because it would be the first place to push back against it. “If I ever do flee, don’t think fleeing has to involve you going over to Alice Springs or something,” Miller said. “I’m going to Texas because that’ll be the first place that pushes

Conservative radio talker Mark Levin appears to have touched off the investigation into Internal Revenue Service targeting of conservative political groups back in March 2012. In a letter last year on behalf of the Landmark Legal Foundation, an organization he heads, Levin requested an investigation into what he called “misconduct.” On Friday, the Internal Revenue Service revealed that it had improperly targeted conservative groups for audits during the 2012 election. During a conference call, Lois Lerner, the IRS’s director of exempt organizations, explained that IRS staffers selected groups that

At the National Rifle Association Convention in Houston on Friday, conservative talker Mark Levin told attendees that the Bill or Rights were “under attack” from progressives in Washington, D.C. “The forces that are gathering now in Washington and in the states to destroy our Second Amendment right are ominous,” Levin the author of “Ameritopia: The Unmaking of America,” said. “They’re not focused on criminals. They’re not focused on mass murderers. They’re focused on ‘we the people.’ The fact of the matter is these are very, very perilous times. The federal government is becoming increasingly powerful.

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

The Internal Revenue Service´s watchdog told top Treasury officials around June 2012 he was investigating allegations the tax agency had targeted conservative groups, for the first time indicating that Obama administration officials were aware of the explosive matter in the midst of the president´s re-election campaign. The disclosure to the Treasury general counsel and the deputy secretary was a cursory one, according to J. Russell George, the Treasury inspector general for tax administration. He said he didn´t reveal conclusions of the probe, which was in its early stages, and his disclosure came as part

The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men. Issa didn´t issue a subpoena to former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Mullen, who co-authored the Benghazi report with Pickering.

A healthcare provider has sued the Internal Revenue Service and 15 of its agents, charging they wrongfully seized 60 million medical records from 10 million Americans. The name of the provider is not yet known, United Press International said. But Courthouse News Service said the suit claims the agency violated the Fourth Amendment in 2011, when agents executed a search warrant for financial data on one employee – and that led to the seizure of information on 10 million, including state judges. The search warrant did not specify that the IRS could take medical information, UPI said.
