| Leftists and their media advocates, well aware that the tragedy of Newtown must be exploited before Americans regain their emotional balance, are pulling out all the stops. (Snip) Joe Biden’s task force continues its frenzied pace of activity, even as it broadens its scope far beyond the reinstatement of the ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, moving into such arenas as universal background checks for gun buyers, a national database tracking the movement and sale of weapons and measures that Obama could enact by executive order. Yet such an imperious manner of governance will not be limited

Letting Liberal Democrats set your gun policy is like letting pedophiles run your children´s day care. It may turn out alright, but I wouldn´t bet that way.

Although democrats are capable of almost anything on gun control, it´s important for conservatives to remain alert that gun control talk may be a big distraction, as leftists might be working furiously behind the scenes on the biggest prize ever for them ---- amnesty. With amnesty of 20 to 30 million illegals, it becomes practically impossible for the GOP to win another national election. Twenty to thirty million new democrat voters would turn on a dime the USA radically left. In such a climate, democrats could carry out any controls (gun or otherwise) that they want. These are very frightening times. Grab a tight rein.

Voting democrat is like taking in a ravenous mutt thinking it won´t bite this time. But it nips and nips until it bites deep enough to draw blood. We never learn, it seems, and so we are bitten time after time.

And what will the tipping point be, where will it start? Or will we just fade away into the dustbin of history?

He has already started grabbing. BofA froze the business accounts of a gun manufacturer even though they did nothing to warrant it other than sell guns. BofA is a huge Obama supporter. I hope anyone who comments here is taking steps to find another financial institution.

He´s going to govern as Lincoln did -- by executive order. Lincoln had tens of thousands of US citizens arrested for speaking against his policies (& I´m talking about citizens from the Union states of the North). He even issued an arrest warrant for the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. When newspapers spoke out against him, he had them shut down and their presses destroyed. Don´t think it cannot happen again.

Even though the Senate would never convict him, Articles of Impeachment being passed by the House would sure raise my opinion of the republicans...

Cleta Mitchell has prepared this comprehensive guide to the IRS abuse of election-integrity and Tea Party groups. (Snip) An interesting narrative split is developing among the Left. As Bryan Preston notes, the reliable Praetorian Press Guard, formerly known as JournoList, has a plan: condemn the IRS and say Obama had nothing to do with it. But others, the speech regulators on the Left, must not have been invited to the West Wing meetings with the JournoList members, because groups like Democracy 21 are busy approving of the IRS abuse.

A broadcaster in the UK has started a campaign to provoke women into thinking about fertility and having children earlier than "her generation." From The Telegraph: The TV presenter had her two children Darcey and Billy at the age of 38 and 42, but knows it is "too late" now to have a third child. (Snip) "I want to alert women to start thinking about their fertility at a younger age than my generation did." Ms Garraway, 46,

The Internal Revenue Service, charged with implementing the biggest change in tax laws in 20 years due to Obamacare, has created eight offices and special "teams" to handle the chore, way more than initially revealed. Besides the top office headed by the woman in the middle of the IRS-Tea Party scandal, there are seven others and a special enforcement team that make up an organization chart that mirrors the organization of the IRS itself, according to a Treasury Inspector General´s report.

Tucked away in someone else’s shoe box of adolescent artifacts, there might be a picture of you in garish clothes and with an outdated ‘do, your arm around a high school squeeze. The President of the United States is no different. These previously unpublished photos, obtained exclusively by TIME from Obama’s schoolmate Kelli Allman (née McCormack), show a 17-year-old Barack Obama on the night of his senior prom. Barry spent in his days at the Punahou School in Hawaii studying, shooting hoops and goofing off with his friends.

This time of year, as college students return home for the summer, many parents may notice how many politically correct ideas they have acquired on campus. Some of those parents may wonder how they can undo some of the brainwashing that has become so common in what are supposed to be institutions of higher learning. The strategy used by General Douglas MacArthur so successfully in the Pacific during World War II can be useful in this very different kind of battle. General MacArthur won his victories while minimizing his casualties --

"You had to be underground," The Weather Channel´s Mike Bettes put it, "in order to survive this tornado." He was not exaggerating. The massive storm that hit Moore, Oklahoma yesterday -- featuring winds up to 200mph -- didn´t simply put those aboveground at risk of being swept up in its funnel. The tornado also took the smallest objects of everyday life -- down to pebbles and even dust -- and effectively converted them into bullets and shrapnel. Much of the carnage that so often results from tornadoes is the result of a terrible phenomenon known by an appropriately terrible

This will come as a shock to those who believe the only significant news in recent weeks has been the Benghazi, IRS and AP/Fox News intimidation scandals, but there have been some significant developments on other issues. Consider the May 14 "Dear Colleague" letter by Republican Sens. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Rand Paul of Kentucky, and John McCain and Jeff Flake of Arizona. One sentence in particular stands out: "We, therefore, are notifying you of our intention to object to the consideration of any legislation that fails to meet any

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose career in public life came to an abrupt end when he sent lewd pictures to a college student on Twitter, jumped back into politics on Wednesday by announcing a bid for mayor of New York City. “Look, I’ve made some big mistakes and I know I’ve let a lot of people down,” the Democrat said in a 2-minute video announcing his bid. “But I’ve also learned some tough lessons. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday. The friend said he left the interview, and when he came back to the apartment he found that there had been a shooting.

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
