Police: Please stop
throwing rocks at buses

Metro says that Metrobuses traveling in parts of Southeast Washington are being pelted with rocks. As part of a campaign to discourage this, police are distributing a flier reminding people not to throw rocks at buses or cars. The Metro Transit Police and Metropolitan Police Department have been distributing the flier, which features a reminder that throwing rocks at vehicles is a crime. And to think that the savages near DC have to be reminded that throwing rocks at vehicles is illegal? And if the Metro did cancel night bus service to the area, you know the ACLU would sue.

Time to ban all rocks.

Better rocks than 9mm bullets, I suppose.

Maybe the answer is to arm buses like B17 bombers with turret guns, waist guns, tail guns, etc.

I am sure that this stern warning and reminder will not go unheeded by the pond scum throwing rocks! Perhaps some harsh language sould be in order too...

Only in DC could there be a campaign calling for rock control.

#4 is pretty close in his description of what lives in southeastern Washington. I am surprised any cars or buses drive throught there at all. Accidentally drove into that area one day and even though I was locked tight in my car, I was definitely afraid. Those people stared at me with death in their eyes.

Most amusing! Wonder how long before we start seeing ´ASBO´s in the US? For the uninformed, an ´ASBO´ is an ´Anti-Social-Behavior-Order´, which a friend in Britain tells me is now ´standard procedure´ when dealing with juvenile crime...a stern shaking of the finger followed by a stern paper shaking of the finger...

My friend also informs me that frequently the police handing ´em out - are beaten up in the process.

I´m sure that´s followed by a ´more stern´ finger shaking.

Interesting planet we got going on here. As far as I´m concerned - throwing a rock at a moving vehicle is tantamount to assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill - and should be handled as such.

Maybe they should make it a "rock free zone", like "gun free zones" or "hate free zones"!

We need to register and do background checks on those throwers ... and ban anything larger than a pebble! /s

Start putting the little boneheads in the jail, the hospital or the morgue. That ought to take care of it.

I hope this program works ---think of the savings.

No more police departments! Just a printing press in the basement of city hall.

---Please do not stand on street corners exchanging money for dangerous drugs.

---Please do not enter banks wearing ski masks and carrying banned weapons.

---Please do not drive thru neighborhoods at high rates of speed, while discharging "assault weapons".

1. Only gov´t can be this stoopit.
2. Shut down all transit service through such areas.
3. OK, except for decoy buses. Full of cops with shotguns. And plenty of shells. Hey -- with Stinky cutting back on the military, the DC cops ought to be able to get a good buy on a couple Apache helicopter gunships. Hmmm....

Remember when this type of behavior was so unusual, and we would say, "where are the parents?" - sadly, that is no longer a mystery. *sigh*

Americans can no longer be allowed to visit Rock Creek Park in DC.

Obviously it is the source of an unlimited supply of these hurled missiles.

We cannot visit or drill for oil in ANWR (Alaska National Wildlife Reserve).
This protects the fragile ecosystem and the animals there.

So shut down also Rock Creek Park.
The fragile transit system is at risk, so are the animals... er, sorry... peeps...
there in the District.

Turnabout is fair play.
Libnut greenho medicine for ya.

They must have shut down the midnight basketball in the area. If they had it these "kids" would still be at home studying for their Sat´s so they can become doctors and lawyers. Sarcasm off.

The flyers would have to be done as pictograms, seeing how the prehistoric rock hurlers likely are illiterate. Even then they would only laugh.

Halt all bus service to the area, prevent them from traveling to commit their crimes. Think of the savings.

This is a joke, right? Oh, wait, we´re talking about the District here. Hey, I´ll bet our Dere Presidunt can say, "Those rock throwers look like they could be my kids..."

People act like this is something new.
When I was but a wee lad, I lived two blocks from my elementary school. I had the great privilege to get on a bus with all of the others in my neighborhood, and rise the six miles to a different school in another neighborhood, that had it´s young residents bused back to my school.
At least three times a week, when we left to go home, our bus was pelted with rocks and bottles by the friendly youths.

That was 40 years ago.

It´s a crime only if you are caught, otherwise it´s a sport.

If they want this to stop Congress need to regulate rocks.

For the out of town readers of this news flash it might be helpful for the media to provide a racial breakout of the "youths" is this area of Washington. No surprise, just confirmation of what we all know.

The rock throwers have anger issues. Only more free stuff paid for by the labor of others will satisfy them. That fix is only a temporary high.Think of this as a ´free stuff ´ habit. Think of the democrat party as their pusher.

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

PRESIDENT OBAMA: You are the mantle of Frederick Douglass and Booker T. WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

It began in earnest last Friday. A flash mob of latte drinking, tofu eating media that has done its best to quell, rather than fan the flames of truth, turned on one of their own. Jay Carney lay bludgeoned at the base of the podium, a victim of friendly fire. Ironically, the attack was reminiscent of the one in Benghazi he has repeatedly denied the Administration he represents bears any responsibility for. “Changed twelve times?!” came the cries. And with good reason. We were misled; no, lied to.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

"Can you see in your mind´s eye a way that this might not have been political, that this was a misguided stupid way to sort, but that they didn´t intend it to be some kind of political attempt to harass the Tea Party?" So actually asked CNN´s Candy Crowley of her guest Sen. There will be lots more hearings coming up this week
