| For many in the media, the crowning moment of the Republican Party’s long, campaign-accelerated slide into full-blown, fact-free delusion came on election night just after Fox News called the state of Ohio—and therefore the election—for President Barack Obama. Fox contributor Karl Rove, formerly the Svengali behind George W. Bush and currently the head of the influential Crossroads GPS political action committee, forcefully disputed the projection as numerically “premature.” Exasperated co-anchor Megyn Kelly retorted, “Is this just math that you do as a Republican to make yourself feel better, or is this real?”

Franken´s election was a pre-run on a small scale to see if just about anyone could be elected to high office & it be accepted, not only by the people, but accepted by elected officials from the other side. Looks like it´s working out just fine...!!! And will for the foreseeable future, unless a 1000 Breitbarts save our nation. It´s gone beyond one man or one party, it will take patriots, not politicians.

In the 4 swing states of Ohio, Florida, Colorado, and North Carolina, Obama won by a COMBINED TOTAL of 320,000 votes--well within the margin of fraud and theft.
When numerous precincts in Cuyahoga County vote 100% for Obama, and total vote exceeds the number of eligible voters, you have to believe it was theft.
Obama won 32% of the vote to Romney´s 29%, with 39% of the people not bothering to vote.
That is no mandate. I do not concede that Obama was selected by the will of the people.

With the New Jersey governor´s race looking like a cakewalk for Chris Christie (at least for now), and with New York´s crime problem under control (removing much of the impetus for a Republican mayor), all eyes are on the Virginia gubernatorial race as the premier political contest in 2013. Republicans selected their political slate over the weekend at a convention, settling upon Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli as their gubernatorial candidate, E.W. Jackson as their pick for lieutenant governor, and state Sen. Mark Obenshain as their choice for attorney general.

Like plaids with stripes, federal employees wrapped in the Fifth Amendment don’t look good. We all have the right to wear clothes that clash, and all in this country have the right not to provide testimony that could be used against them. As gratifying as it was to see the “news” media actually do its job last week when the IRS scandal broke, it was also odd that the coverage focused exclusively on abuses of power relating to various Tea Party and anti-abortion groups. A much scarier IRS story has been virtually ignored by the establishment press. ONE OF THE BIGGEST questions hanging over the health-care system is how many young Americans will sign up for coverage once the Affordable Care Act begins to phase in this October. If too few buy insurance on the markets that the government is creating, insurance companies would be stuck covering primarily the the old and the sick. They would have to pay out more per customer. Their customers, in turn, would have to pay more to those companies for coverage. The stakes for the Health and Human Services Department, which is overseeing the transition, are tremendous.

You can argue that Republicans have blocked President Obama from doing just about anything. You can argue that he´s had bad luck. You can argue that he isn´t always the greatest orator. But you can´t argue away that the Department of Justice took the unprecedented step of seizing phone records from the Associated Press. Or the flimsy rationale justifying drone attacks abroad and at home. Or the bizarre step the Pentagon has taken to expand the ability of the military (Snip) These are actions that President Obama and his top team have taken on their own.

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday. The friend said he left the interview, and when he came back to the apartment he found that there had been a shooting.

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state

Eva Longoria is backing up her beauty with a whole lot of brain. The actress graduated with a master´s degree Wednesday. Longoria, 38, took home a real degree (not an honorary one) in Chicano studies from Cal State Northridge, where she physically attended classes for three years, according to TMZ. "Big day today!!! Very excited to graduate for my master´s degree in Chicano studies! You´re never too old or too busy to continue your education!" the actress wrote on her Who Say site Wednesday, sharing loads of pics of her big day, posing with her family, cohorts and diploma.
