Current situation: Staffers talk
about first meeting with Al Jazeera

New York Post, by Linda Stasi

Original Article

Posted By:Drive, 1/8/2013 9:02:14 AM

Just call him Al Gorezeera. Yesterday morning, the still shell shocked staff at Current TV was called to an all hands staff meeting at its San Francisco headquarters, which was teleconferenced to their offices in LA and NYC, to meet their new bosses. That would be two of Al Jazeera’s top guys: Ehab Al Shihabi, executive director of international operations, and Muftah AlSuwaidan, general manager of the London bureau. Ominously missing was the creator of Current, the self proclaimed inventor of the Internet and savior of clean energy, Al Gore, although his partner, Joel Hyatt, stood proudly with the Al Jazeera honchos.

I was once a manager with a company that was acquired by a organization from Bahrain. My advice to these staffers is to get out quick, you´re going to be worked to death and then fired.

Methinks that the author must be an Ldotter. The name Al Gorezeera has been in use here since this news first appeared last week.

That this master fraud won the popular vote in 2000 and with Obama winning re-election, what hope whatsoever is there for this nation?

One additional benefit will be a heavy wool Burqa the women can wear while on TV. No need to ´waste time´ getting dolled up for the camera!

#9, with democrats being the masters of the illegally cast vote and the stuffed ballot box, I seriously doubt AlGone won the popular vote in 2000. Just as likely, Zero didn´t either.

We are now a third world country led by an illegally elected president who hates the country he was illegally elected to lead.

Worst news of all: democrats are okay with that.

Now we have a real live propaganda organization based in the USA for obama´s people. I know, CNN beat them to it, but now we will be licensing an arab news organization that openly advocates our demise. So much for the gorebot having any principles. The previous poster is right. He is a traitor, and a greedy one to boot.

Why don´t they go on strike? After all, their combined efforts have resulted in a failed network. The evil bosses sold out to line thir own pockets leaving the workers with nothing. They even outsourced management!

Throw a picket line up in front of their building. That ought to amuse their new employers.

San Francisco leftists live in an alternate universe where they say one thing and do another and somehow justify it. I´m absolutely loving how Al Gore and the Hyatts screwed them. Al Gore is nothing but a money grubbing hillbilly with the personality of a head of lettuce, and Joel Hyatt and his wife are both elitist hypocritical jerks who love to "help" people with one hand while they screw them over with the other.

I´ve always been amazed by the support the typical SF leftie gives to Islam. It makes no sense as they are against everything the feel gooder liberals stand for. Isn´t it interesting that we haven´t heard anything from the gay community about this? You´d think the fact that Muslims publicly execute gay people just for being gay would upset some of these folks.

Just proves the point I´ve been making for years, these people talk one game about tolerance, and peace, and love, but what they really want to know is how much money they´re going to get. It will serve them right when they all lose their jobs. What will be interesting is to hear who they blame for it. Bush anyone?

WASHINGTON — The mysterious American plane that landed at an airport in Tehran belongs to an overseas client, the bank that acts as a trustee for the plane confirmed on Friday. Today we learned of a suit against Bryan Singer, the director of the upcoming superhero sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past and a big Democratic donor, charging he drugged and sexually abused a 15-year-old boy back in 1999. Singer´s legal team denies the charges. Lawyer Jeff Herman, who is representing the plaintiff, cautions Wednesday´s suit isn´t an isolated incident. One rainy morning this month, the man who thought he would be president boarded a train near his beach house in San Diego. He stepped off in Burbank, Calif., and caught a ride to a sound stage, where his on-again, off-again political consigliere, Mike Murphy, was waiting to shoot a commercial on a set that bore more than a passing resemblance to the Oval Office. Looking and sounding like a president out of central casting, he nailed his lines. The crew called him “one-take Romney,” and before he departed, they swarmed, extending arms around his shoulders and angling their iPhones for

ROME - Pope Francis washed the feet of 12 disabled and elderly people Thursday - women and non-Catholics among them - in a pre-Easter ritual designed to show his willingness to serve others like a "slave." Francis´ decision in 2013 to perform the Holy Thursday ritual on women and Muslim inmates at a juvenile detention center helped define his rule-breaking papacy just two weeks after his election. It riled traditionalist Catholics, who pointed to the Vatican´s own regulations that the ritual be performed only on men since Jesus´ 12 apostles were men.

What are the odds? I mean, Vladimir Putin does a call-in show and one guy who happens to get through—to ask a question in English—is Ed Snowden? That is one amazing coincidence—almost as amazing as those soldiers who mysteriously materialized in Crimea turning out to be Russian. In a few moments, Snowden became part of a Soviet-style propaganda machine, even though he clearly views himself as a public-spirited crusader. After Snowden leaked all those NSA documents to the Guardian and the Washington Post, which shared a Pulitzer Prize this week, he fled to Hong Kong and then to Moscow, which was more than happy

In Detroit´s unfolding saga, the only innocent victims are city residents. So if there is any case for a Motown bailout, it is to make the city more livable for them. However, that seems to be the main goal of neither the Democratic White House nor the state´s Republican governor -- both of whom have come up with nifty new schemes to shovel taxpayer largesse to city retirees. Just two weeks ago, Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr had been threatening to put a buzzsaw to the city´s $3.5 billion unfunded pension liabilities to lop off savings to “invest” in city services. Most voters think the White House is trying to cover-up what happened in Benghazi and want Congress to continue to investigate the administration’s handling of the attack on the U.S. consulate there that killed four Americans. That’s according to a Fox News poll released Thursday. Sixty percent of voters want lawmakers to keep investigating what happened in Benghazi. That’s down from 65 percent who felt that way in November, and a high of 73 percent in early June 2013.

After presenting at the Academy Awards this year, Kim Novak didn’t want to leave her house. The Hitchcock screen siren, 81, was too humiliated to venture from her home near the Rogue River in Oregon. The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years.
