Planned Parenthood reports
record year for abortions

Washington Examiner [DC], by Charlie Spiering

Original Article

Posted By:Ribicon, 1/8/2013 12:15:27 AM

In its latest annual report for fiscal year 2011 to 2012, Planned Parenthood reveals that it performed 333,964 abortions in 2011 – a record year for the organization. According to annual reports, the organization performed 332,278 abortions in 2009, 329,445 in 2010, making the total number of abortions in three years to 995,687. Planned Parenthood reported receiving a record $542 million in taxpayer funding, according to a Susan B. Anthony List analysis of the report, in the form of government grants, contracts, and Medicaid reimbursements. The amount is 45 percent of Planned Parenthood’s annual

Comments:
Just shy of a million babies killed over the past 3 years, "government" funding at all-time highs... like a broken record; where exactly are the Republicans? Just amazing.

Yeah, can´t cut PP funding. They do s-o-o-o much for "women´s healthcare."

Lessee, Rowe v. Wade was going to make abortion legal, safe, and... and... and... something else. What? Anybody remember?

i think they should publish the racial breakdown of all those lost babies. Might make some certain ethnic groups realize that they are the target of genocide.

Wow...we have an epidemic of rape and incest going on in this country...and you´d think by 2013 doctors would be able to save the lives of more pregnant women along with the child.

Those are the reasons we MUST protect abortion "rights"...aren´t they?

No one would have abortions for selfish reasons would they? I mean, if they REALLY didn´t want children they would have irresponsible sex...or...they would avail themselves of one of the myriad methods of preventing conception from taking place.

Wouldn´t they

334,000 abortions.
That is a lot of "legal but rare procedures." (to quote Bill Clinton)
I really didn´t think there was that much rape and incest. After all, isn´t that why the PP supporters say we must allow abortions? /s

I defy Sen. Feinstein to reply to this. I don´t think she has the ethics, integrity or guts to do so. Perhaps resigning would be a way out for her.

Abortion is one of the worst things a woman can do to her body and mind. Women´s rights will come in when they realize the horrendous damage they are doing when this "simple" procedure is performed.

When I was young, my gyn switched over, without telling me, to be an abortion doctor. While I was in his office, the first and last time after switching, he explained to me that his clients (he operated in the wealthy part of back bay boston)were usually well-of young women who could not be bothered taking contraceptives and were repeat clients.
And I have spoken to two women in their 60´s who had abortions after failed love affairs. Those two women say they knew they were killing a person. I don´t know why it is so important to liberals, men and women, to kill babies.

" if we can accept that a mother can kill her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another?"
"Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use violence to get what they want. That is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion"
"Abortion kills twice. It kills the body of the baby and it kills the conscience of the mother. Abortion is profoundly anti-women. Three quarters of its victims are women: Half the babies and all the mothers."

Maybe women are beginning to see that the present state of affairs in this country is not one into which they want to bring children. That doesn´t make abortion right -- the women should be using birth control and so should the men, but any way you look at this, it´s a holocaust.

The silence of “Christians” and “conservatives” is as deafening as the voices of the millions of innocent aborted babies. Without true repentance this nation will not escape judgment for allowing such atrocities to occur: over 3,500 abortions each day in the U.S.
...maybe we’re being judged already.

The department of health actually did a survey of pregnancies and disposition by age and ethnicity in the greater NY City. I suspect it was intended to document that high prenatal mortality was the decision of the mother and not poor medical care. The Hispanic community led in pregnancy rate and the percentage of babies brought to term. The non-Hispanic black community had the second highest pregnancy rate and by far the highest percentage termination rate (around 40%). This rate did not begin to go down until you got to women over 26. Margaret Sanger must be dancing in her grave.

PP is evil. Once a person, a culture, a government gives itself the power to murder any innocent life, Evil has won. The Lord promises forgiveness of sin to anyone who will repent and accept Him in Jesus´ name. Please, anyone who had created an aborted baby, seek forgiveness for the sin of murder.

I hope Martha McCallum of FOX reads this article. During a report last year Ms. McCallum emphasized not once, but twice, that Planned Parenthood doesn´t perform abortions, it only counsels/refers abortion seekers to private providers. She was aided and abetted in this erroneous declaration by Judge Napolitano, who sat idly by and didn´t bother to correct her. Fair and balanced, you bet.

Let´s think about how many people are involved in one abortion:
- the mother;
- the dead baby;
- the father of the dead baby;
- the parents who paid for the murder;
- the "friend" who drove the mother to kill her baby;
- the grandparents of the dead baby;
- the doctor who killed the baby;
- the nurses and other attending who participated in the killing;
- the administrative staff who scheduled the killing and follow up appointments;
- the waste company who collected the remains of the baby...

and multiply that by millions. So, we are left with countless people who live their lives day after day defending this position and supporting their "right" to kill. To admit their sin would be too devastating so they dig their heels in and we´re left with the results: degradation of women, the family and culture. God have mercy on us.

#6 is spot-on...the PP number is about 25% of the abortions performed in the US each year...some data point to 600,000 Black babies being flushed down the toilet each year and that´s genocide...55million total US abortions since 1973 sounds like WWIII to me with all those killed being babies...

Judgement is here. Just remind all of those carelessly active lib women that they are most likely murdering there own DAUGHTERS. Then point out someone you know who is elderly, with no family to comfort or help them, in old age. Point out how lack of children & grandchildren is inconvenient when you can´t live on your own anymore. Explain that you can have inconvenience now or later - you are just choosing the timing. Then explain all of the ways that abortion has actually liberated MEN.

Americans have callously sat by and allowed the murder of 55 million human beings. By not effectively counter acting this atrocity we have all SINNED in the eyes of the Creator of the Universe.
God has withdrawn His hand from this country and given us leadership that is bound and determined to run this country into the ground. Are we actually dumb enough to believe there is no connection?
Prayers to restore this country to its former greatness are useless! America needs to repent and ask for forgiveness!

Every hour, 24/7/365
a kindergarten class of 20 American children are murdered by this atrocity euphemistically called ´Abortion´.

After it has been outlawed forever in all 57 states, we will marvel that this was ever allowed to take place.
It will appear in history books alongside Slavery as a national shame to be expiated for-forever.

By my calculations, using 2012 census data, one out of every 20 women of child bearing age (14-45) had an abortion last year. I am suprised that the rape and incest epidemic in this country and the poor overall health of the female population hasn´t drawn national attention!

How can it be "alright" for a woman and doctor to kill a child if it hasn´t been born, but if someone was to shoot the mother in the stomach, killing both, it´s a double murder? I feel like I´m in an alternate reality.

I saw something a couple of years ago that this country currently has problems financing SS and other programs due to the fact that at least 30 million taxpayers were not available because they had been aborted. Think about that fact for a while. Libs traded financial security for our government in order to kill unborn babies.

Those posting above about how we all have sinned in not stopping this mass murder, please tell us what we are supposed to do about it?

I pray for an end to abortion every time I pray. I support and vote for only pro-life politicians. I send money to organizations like National Right to Life and the Catholic Church ( the biggest pro-life organization on the planet ). I march as often as possible in the March for Life in DC. I have taken part in prayer vigils near abortion clinics and on street corners. I have adopted a child who could have wound up as ´medical waste´ if her birth mother had made a different ´choice´.

What else can I do? How am I a sinner?

#34 is exactly RIGHT. God will indeed sort this out, and He is NOT HAPPY. Proverbs 6:16-10 says, "There are six things the Lord hates—no, seven things he detests: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kill the innocent, a heart that plots evil, feet that race to do wrong, a false witness who pours out lies, a person who sows discord in a family." (emphasis mine)

Folks, we can forget about Hitler. He was a piker...we´re now in Stalin/ChiCom territory. The people of this country allowed this to take place, and the people of this country re-elected a man whose party booed the re-introduction of God and Israel to their party platform (either by active vote or by staying home and not voting for the other person). God is NOT happy.

And I´ll go a step further - the church (at large) has blood on its hands as well. Yes, pastors and priests may say they´re against such, but in EVERY survey year after year, the church looks just like the world in EVERY category. Yes, there are people like #60 and those of us who have actively fought for morality and decency, and who have volunteered at and given money to crisis pregnancy centers, and who have worked in every manner possible to stand against this evil and persuade others to do the same. But we are few and far between, even in the church. God is NOT happy.

Planned Parenthood claims they need government funding to promote women´s health. If this were true, they would be doing a lot of mammograms Pap smears. They don´t. They only do abortions!

I hope quincy2 didn´t choose his pseudonym to commemorate Jack Klugman´s character on the "Quincy, ME" TV show. I´ve been watching the NetFlix collection of those shows from the 70s and 80s, and I´ve seen two episodes in which abortions were plot elements. Quincy had no interest in the aborted babies, but he was concerned about the dead "mothers" whose bodies reached his autopsy table.

One "mother" died because the abortionist was drinking before performing the abortion. Quincy knew and respected the abortionist "doctor", so he persuaded the fellow to join an Alcoholics Anonymous group of drinking doctors.

The other "mother" died after the abortionist dropped her off at an ER. The primary ER doctor was suspected of having mishandled her treatment, but she´d actually been treated by another doctor who wasn´t certified to work in an ER. Quincy spent a lot of the show agitating for better trained and certified ER doctors.

A record number of abortions sounds like something of which they are proud.

They´re probably the same group of libnut wackos who want to ban guns from honest citizens.

Guns don´t kill babies.
Abortionists and their supporting people using surgical tools and vacuums kill babies.

Meanwhile... islamists are breeding like crazy.

The West has succumbed to the curse of materialism and valued individual creature comfort over the survival of civilization. The West was not defeated by military prowess but by civilizational suicide.

I do not agree with abortions at will; however, lately I´ve been thinking. If they all had those babies, there would be massive spikes in the numbers of welfare babies and more $$ going out to baby mamas.

It´s sickening no matter how you look at it.

What is worse? Abortion or rape of the country? And of all those babies that would be born, what would they be born into? A life of drugs, stealing, and jail? What quality of life is that for them?

Churches should be doing more.
When the majority of Catholics vote for the baby killing party, something is terribly lacking.

We are horrifed that the citizens of Germany allowed the holocaust to continue. Frequently we are reminded of the moral cancer that was slavery. Yet here we are, going about our business, ignoring the murder of hundreds of thousands of babies in our own country. A terrible milestone - 40 years - will be reached this month. Thousands will travel to Washington to march and,as always, the media won´t report it.

Dear God in heaven have mercy on us. This is devastating and horrific.. all those unique personalities lost to us.... I post a lot of pro-life articles on FB & twitter,too, sign petitions, support www.youhavealternatives.org... And pray. At the very least I know for a fact they´re all alive and in heaven as we speak. Every single one of them, praise God.

I recently learned two young women I know had abortions. They are both emotionally devastated.

Mother Teresa is right, #22, it kills the baby and destroys the conscious of the mother. My prayers are with them. They have been indoctrinated to believe there is nothing wrong with abortion. After they´ve had it, they realize differently.

I look at my children and am grateful I never had to make that choice. As a young woman, I am sorry to say, I probably would have made the wrong choice.

Fredon — The U.S. Supreme Court will decide on Friday whether it will hear a Sussex County man’s challenge to New Jersey’s handgun carry laws. The lawsuit, brought by John Drake, challenges the “justifiable need” requirement the state asks for carrying a handgun. It has drawn the support of the National Rifle Association and 19 other states, who see the case as a possible watershed moment for reevaluating how the Second Amendment and state regulations interact. The nation’s highest court now has scheduled a conference for Friday morning on whether to decide to hear the case in its entirety, according

Meet Mr Poo: The lumpy, brown anthropomorphised faeces that is the face of Unicef´s latest public health campaign in India. Accompanied by an insanely catchy techno-Bollywood-style anthem, Mr Poo features in a very silly and surreal new video aimed at raising awareness of the health dangers associated with public defecation in India. Though the video is light-hearted; the issue is a serious one. Globally, India has the largest number of people, more than 620 million, still defecating in the open. Only about half the population of the country use toilets. According to the Poo2Loo campaign, which is supported

Trenton — The law firm hired by Gov. Chris Christie´s office that cleared him and current staff aides of any wrongdoing in the George Washington Bridge scandal donated $10,000 to a national political group the governor currently heads, according to a published report. The Record reported late Tuesday night that Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher gave $10,000 to the Republican Governors Association — nine days before it released a report that cleared the governor in last year´s controversial lane closings at the bridge. Although critics called the report a "whitewash," Christie said the firm´s lawyers have reputations to uphold and wouldn´t

Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could

Less than a minute into his speech at the Boston marathon bombing memorial on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden went tragically off script and told the crowd of Boston bombing survivors that "it was worth it." After expressing how impressed he was with the tribute, he said somberly, "let me say to those ´quote survivors,´ my God, you have survived and you have soared. It was worth it. I mean this sincerely - just to hear each of you speak. You´re truly, truly inspiring." The audience sat in stunned silence until Biden declared, "I´ve never heard anything so beautiful than

Casual marijuana use may come with some not-so-casual side effects. For the first time ever, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures. The study’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development. Dr. Hans Breiter, co-senior study author, said he was inspired to look at the effects of casual

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrote in her forthcoming book that she was “hurt” and “angry” by 2012 reporting on her fraudulent claim to Native American heritage. “What really threw me, though, were the constant attacks from the other side,” Warren wrote in her book “A Fighting Chance.” “I would almost persuade myself that I was starting to get the hang of full-throttle campaigning and then — bam! Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, ”I was stunned by the attacks.” This reporter (blogger?) reported extensively
