| Two of the Kennedy cousins spoke out about their battles with addiction, saying that their family’s history with substance abuse contributed significantly to their own health problems. Christopher Kennedy Lawford said that he began drinking and using drugs when he was only 12-years-old and he ‘had desire to stop, I had all the resources to stop, and it was difficult for me’. He is now 26-years sober and has written a book about battling addictions, but the fight is much more fresh for his cousin, former Congressman Patrick Kennedy.

I remember the story about Ted when Clinton was in office.
Bill was talking about people that are all talk and people that get things done.

It´s amazing what weak people use for excuses for their behavior. Genetic? Or just immoral and self-indulgent? And taught about the theory of entitlement and victimology. In the kennedy family, those are life-long courses.

Actually, it is genetic and it does run in families. That said, it´s not an excuse. It´s a matter of personal choice and responsibility. Over 25 years of recovery, I´ve seen absolute gutter drunks get sober and stay sober.
There´s an AA meeting every day in the US Capitol building. Any bets on whether or not Swimmer Ted ever darkened its doors?

Multitasking, job-hopping Chelsea Clinton has quietly taken on a big new job at New York University. The former first daughter has tackled what the school calls a “multifaith” role as co-founder and co-chair of its brand-new Of Many Institute. Mr. Obama will make the statement from the White House, according to a White House official. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?"
