Paparazzi shots of Malia and Sasha Obama have been quashed by the White House after a photographer reportedly stumbled across the girls on a public beach in Hawaii. The images of the President´s daughters were taken last week while a paparazzo was actually waiting for singer Jessica Simpson to leave her vacation home. Secret service agents, who were accompanying the girls on their walk, immediately approached the photographer and asked for identification. They allowed the man to keep his camera but gave him a stern warning to stop photographing the first daughters.

Who are the "family friends"? Who paid for their vacation, American taxpayers? Everything about this family is a big secret, except the dollar amount for their vacations. This one was a whopping 7 million dollars.

All this is absolute baloney. Folks, you live in the White House and work for us, how dare any First Family freak out over even ordinary phoographs like this? I see they are not very attractive pictures but tough.

But if one of the Bush girls (admittedly older young ladies) was caught having one of those adult beverages, it was stop the presses at Natl. Enquirer and breaking news at MSNBC.

I have no burning desire to see sausage and maligner, but I do think taxpayers have the right to know who and what they are paying for on this vacation or any vacation.

They are no more special than any other elected official.

don´t care to see the photos,

i just want to know who and what taxpayers paif for on this vacation.

I self-quash any and all photos of that family because I find them revolting. Likewise when Our Dear Leader´s voice comes out of the speakers; volume mute. Happy?

America´s black royalty.

Big Moochie, Sasquatch and Malaria are so special that commoners are not allowed to look at them or view photos of them.

I am no fan of paparazzi, and I´m a big fan of the United States Secret Service, but the photographers should have said the following to the Secret Service agents who accosted them:

1. It´s a public beach
2. No, you may not see my identification.

The Secret Service is tasked with protecting their charges from attack, not with enforcing their whimsical notion of propriety on the rest of us. They should be politely but firmly discouraged from demanding identification from folks going about their lawful business in a public place.

Ah yes, the obligatory shaved ice pics. Can´t get enough of the Obamas enjoying some shaved ice. They´re really pigs in poop, aren´t they.

I´m assuming that we, the taxpayers, paid for the entourage of ´friends´ who follow Sashimi and Malicious around?

You would think with all our money they could do a better job with the girls hair.

Maybe that´s why daddy didn´t want them photographed.

Reply 15 - Posted by: 3XALADY, 1/8/2013 7:26:22 AM     (No. 9104469)

I think they don´t want you to know there are ´friends´ with them and how many there are. Remember the uproar when Moo!chelle used several floors of the very expensive hotel in Spain (I think) for the hundreds of friends and SS agents. In fact, I think it took two hotels to hold all of them. They just want to avoid another uproar from the peasants. Will he have $1.5 billion/year to pay their expenses when he hopefully is back as a private citizen or will he write an EO or whatever to keep the $$ coming. Remember Klintoon continued SS coverage for Web´s little girl at taxpayer expense.

I seriously think that I might live long enough (I´m in my sixties)to see the congress and the people of this country, when obama and the dems enter a room/area, rise and lift their arm in a salute.

Like prior posters, I haven´t any need to see photos of BHO´s kids on the beach, and I don´t even have much of a problem with BHO asking (not demanding/requiring/intimidating) various press organizations not to publish such photos - especially as they are under 18.

However, the more important and most chilling aspect of this story is the part about the Praetorian Guard, I mean Secret Service, accosting the photographer, demanding identification, and "warning" him to not take photos. As prior poster pointed out photography of people in public spaces and places is not illegal, nor is it grounds amounting to "reasonable suspicion" that would even properly warrant such action.

Like it or not, BHO´s kids are public figures, he put them in that position. He has used them for various photo opportunities - including political events, and has invoked their names to promote his political agenda. They are minors, if he would rather they not be photographed on a beach or elsewhere, he has the means and access to secured locations to do so.

Contrary to the desires or many, he is not our King, nor is he God, him, his wife and their kids are (ideally - if not in actuality) are expected to abide by the same rules as you and me.

A Virginia State Police reconstruction team has closed off the bridge where the incident happened and is investigating it as a crime scene. According to authorities, a green Cadillac was traveling on Route 91 in Damascus around 2:15 p.m. when his vehicle cut through a nearby car wash located off Third Street, where the parade was taking place. The car then went around several vehicles in the parade and plowed

President Obama spoke of the importance of fathers to their sons on Friday after a young man he met at a community center in Baltimore mentioned wanting to provide for his sons. “You know, one of the biggest challenges – I grew up without a father,” Obama said at the Center for Urban Families, which serves fathers and their families. A man named Marcus Dixon had just told him about the center´s key role in helping him learn to provide for his family after being released from jail. WASHINGTON There´s an irony in the Internal Revenue Service´s crackdown on conservative groups. The nation´s tax agency has admitted to inappropriately scrutinizing smaller tea party organizations that applied for tax-exempt status. But the IRS largely maintained a hands-off policy with the much larger, big-budget organizations on the left and right that were most influential in the 2012 elections and are organized under a section of the tax code that allows them to hide their donors. "The IRS goes AWOL when wealthy and powerful forces want to break the law in order to hide their

Two Congressmen are asking the Treasury Department if it inappropriately scrutinized conservative-owned businesses the same way it targeted Tea Party groups filing for tax-exempt status. Republicans Mike Kelly (PA-03) and Jim Renacci (OH-16) circulated a letter Thursday requesting Treasury Secretary Jack Lew to release documents detailing the process and methodology the Automotive Task Force used to shut down General Motors dealerships in 2009 during the automotive industry crisis. Renacci´s Northeast Ohio Chevrolet dealership was closed in 2010 after losing a battle with General Motors. Congress loaned General Motors $50 billion in 2009 after GM declared bankruptcy, which resulted

SAN JOSE— For most Americans in the United States, Armed Forces Day is not on the lists of likely holidays to honor the country’s military in celebrations of Memorial Day or Veteran’s Day. Sadly, most Americans may not even realize that Armed Forces Day is even a legitimate holiday. Armed Forces Day was established to be celebrated on the third Saturday in May. It started during Harry Truman’s administration when he led an effort to consolidate the various holidays supporting each separate branch of the military into a simple unified holiday to honor the four branches together.

Dorothy, the 14-year-old peregrine falcon that since 2002 has nested on a 40th-floor ledge of the Cathedral of Learning in Oakland, was perched on the limestone railing next to that nest and her lone chick shortly before 9 a.m. Friday. She´d just fed the 22-day-old chick a small bird for breakfast. "Baltimore oriole ... again," said Kate St. John, who blogs about the city´s peregrines. Someone else watching from the office inside the window next to the nest said it looked like Dorothy was calmly "chilling." Ms. St. John´s response was that nothing could be further from the truth.

WASHINGTON — An Internal Revenue Service watchdog testified Friday that he told Obama administration officials in June that he was looking into allegations the IRS targeted conservative groups for extra scrutiny when they applied for tax-exempt status. The revelation by Inspector General Russell George came at the first congressional hearing on the IRS misconduct, which has generated a political firestorm since it was disclosed a week ago. George’s testimony represented the first evidence that officials in the Obama administration knew of the allegations as long as a year ago, during the presidential campaign.

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

STANDING BEFORE reporters Thursday, President Obama declined an invitation to compare the recent scandals weighing down his administration with those that forced President Nixon to resign in 1974. So allow us to do the work for him: There is no comparison. Nixon, in a series of crimes that collectively came to be known as Watergate, directed from the White House and Justice Department a concerted campaign against those he perceived as political enemies, in the process subverting the FBI, the IRS, other government agencies and the electoral process to his nefarious purposes. Mr. Obama has done nothing of the kind.

In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men. Issa didn´t issue a subpoena to former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Mullen, who co-authored the Benghazi report with Pickering.
