| In a major boost for Chuck Hagel, the Anti-Defamation League announced Monday that it will not oppose him for the position of defense secretary. “Senator Hagel would not have been my first choice, but I respect the president’s prerogative,” Abraham H. Foxman, the national director of the ADL, said. “I trust that the confirmation process will provide an opportunity for Senator Hagel to address concerns about his positions, which seem so out of sync with President Obama’s clear commitment on issues like Iran sanctions, isolating Hamas and Hezbollah and the president’s strong support for a deepening of U.S.[-]Israel strategic cooperation.”

Like many members of the ADL, Mr. Foxman is likely a secularist Jew whose political sympathies lie with the Democrat Progressives. Such people see Israel as an embarrassing obstacle to the so-called Middle East Peace Process, crafted by their beloved Bill Clinton. To them, the enemies of the Jews are not Islamic fanatics but those pesky Christians whose support of Israel is part of a plot to convert the Jews. Oh, yes, they don´t like religious Jews much either, and they HATE Republicans.

Compare this position to the one Foxman took with respect to a true friend of Israel-Glenn Beck whom he accused of Anti-Semitism for telling the truth about George Soros. Foxman is pathetic and I am glad I resigned from ADL years ago.

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate."
