Writing articles about possible 2016 presidential candidates at this point is meaningless.

I have been a voting NJ resident for 36 years and will take Christie over any of his predecessors.
That said, I do agree it´s pointless to talk about a 2016 candidacy now.

Chrisite, Rubio, Cruz and Jindal are the only Republicans with a national stage who have a spark of life to them. Most of the rest make guys like John Boeher and Rick Santorum seem interesting.

The Republicans don´t suffer from extremism. They suffer from extreme dullness.

Christie would do well from learning about the fickle finger of the media from McCain. They will love you one moment as the GOP ´maverick´, bucking his party, then hate you the next as an angry old white guy for daring to oppose Barry.

I recall a lot of irrelevant, ad homenim attacks from the LSM levelled at Christie a while back. Now post-Sandy, Christie is a media darling, i.e this article.

Just criticize their messiah once more, and the media will again turn on Christie with the overweight, blowhard, etc, etc rhetoric in a heartbeat.

It has been said that a corrupt citizenry will demand corrupt leaders. Christie gets 55% approval. I doubt most even know who he is. Hillary Clinton gets a 60% approval after:
*falsely charging the travel office staff of wrong doing that could have sent then to prison. Government had to end up reimbursing them for their legal fees once discovered that the Clinton´s were simply trying to get rid of them in order to give cronies their jobs.

*Hid her law firm records in the White House when they were required by investigators in the corrupt land deal the Clinton´s were involved in. They were found by a cleaning lady and turned over to authorities .

Many more scandals by the corrupt Clintons that brought the most corrupt administration in history to Washington. But the ignorant and gullible don´t know or care. We have the government we deserve.

Christie is a NJ bully and could have been an excellent character actor on the Sopranos. I´ve seen all I need to write him off any consideration for the national stage. I´m keeping my eye on Ted Cruz.

He has high approval numbers because he has been talked up by the press for jumping all over Romney and Boehner. He does not realize that he can just as easily be talked down.

Christie has done nothing but whine about needing taxpayer dollars, and Obama has done nothing but fly over and give Christie a hug. They have done nothing to earn their approval numbers, and Christie will not be as well-insulated as Obama from the restless natives on the east coast.

A large umbrella can also cast a large shadow. So what. Republicans are not going to forget the large Governor and his demand for immediate pork to the parties embarrassment. I guess Pork barrel spending is OK if it comes from the feds vs the Taxpayers of NJ.

lost all my respect. He can run as a Democrat,
which is probably likely. I expect the polling will begin in a few minutes and last for the next 4 years.

Christie will be the GOP presidential candidate in 2016, and, just a guess, but I´d estimate that probably upwards of 95% of everyone here will vote for him, holding their nose, walking over broken glass, etc., but still towing the party line.

Sorry, but no matter who runs on the Republican side, Hillary will be the opponent, and she will win. The Dems have it down pat - manipulate, lie, media on their side, dead people votes, etc. Sorry to be such a downer, but I can´t see Republicans winning anything ever again.

Here obviously we have the liberal Democrats already trying to pick the next Republican Presidential candidate.

Unfortunately Christie looks like he is a big time candidate for the big one, and I am not talking about anything got to do with living in the White House.
