Excellent Adventure

It would seem, at this point, that former U.N. ambassador Bill Richardson probably has a vacation home in Pyongyang. He’s visited Stalinist North Korea more than a half a dozen times, and has often boasted of his close relationship with “the North Koreans.” (Presumably, he means “the North Korean regime,” as it’s highly doubtful that the portly former New Mexico governor has had many dealings with the starving, oppressed North Korean people.) So it’s not altogether surprising that Richardson arrived, once again, in Pyongyang last night, openly defying the wishes of the State Department, who declared

Comments:
I saw Richardson on Fox last week who said he knew these people and could reach out to them. Liberals are insane.

So, with all these free-lancers like Richardson, Je$$e Jack$son, Sean Penn, and the other usual suspects -- why are we spending money on a Department of State?

Perhaps Richardson intends on giving the young Il Sun an SUV and instructing him on how to drive at 85 mph to the airport.

Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State, was quoted, "Yeah? Well, he has not been particularly helpful since he endorsed Obama in 2008!"

Richardson is as dumb as the day is long. The google dude is creepy, like his company, The Fat Happy Dictator is using these rubes to con his own starving and abused people. Sanctions worked in Burma. Give them more time with the NORKs.

The grossly obese Richardson, doing what he does. Freelance deal-making and naked attempts to enhance his pathetic resume.

I do not not know the REAL reason Obama is sending these two over there. We can bet one thing - it´s not what Richardson is saying.

Did you know he was an Anchor Baby? His Nicaraguan born father shipped his pregnant Mexican mother to the US so he would have citizenship.

Fat Bill Richardson, like Fat Al Gore, is a master at lining his own pockets. Nothing more than that.

Reply 10 - Posted by: Penney, 1/7/2013 3:06:17 PM     (No. 9103542)

Richardson´s mysterious but apparently very close personal relationship with the North Koreans, as evidenced by his visits both in their country and as was reported by the media at Richardson´s home in New Mexico, through the decades make him one creepy, shadowy dem pol. He also presided over handing the USA´s nuclear technologies to RED China when he served in a former dem Administration. He seens to be above the rule of law as he flits around the globe visiting self-described enemies of this country. Yet, the world still seems to be his oyster, in a clandestine way. Totally weird, despite all his smiles & yuck-yucks. -YIKES!!!

Now, I need a shower - this greasy Richardson has always made me feel dirty. He seems like a real shark who would make a perfect a carnival barker.
Having learned that Google´s motto is ´Do no evil,´ is just weird. I do not trust that company and refuse to use any of its products.

Didn´t the NK regime come out recently and state that they now have missle/rocket capactiy to reach the US. Now, regardless if that is true or if they could accomplish this, why on earth would the authorize making trips over there along with a company CEO who can never have a market/investment in NK?

What is the benefit to the US? And why has no reporter asked this?

It’s well known that whenever jihadis attack and slaughter innocent people — especially Christians — the Obama administration tries to ignore or whitewash. Lesser known, however, is that whenever foriegn governments try to subdue the jihadis, the Obama administration objects and calls for the “human rights” of the terrorists. According to Reuters, Nigerian warplanes struck militant camps in the northeast on Friday [5/17] in a major push against an Islamist insurgency, drawing a sharp warning from the United States to respect human rights and not harm civilians. Troops used jets and helicopters to bombard targets in their biggest

Al-Shabaab is taking issue with British Prime Minister David Cameron’s statement that the horrific cleaver attack on a Brit by men wanting their actions to be filmed wasn’t a representation of Islam. The Metropolitan Police and the Ministry of Defence confirmed today that the victim was a serving soldier. In line with the wishes of his family his identity will not be released at this stage, the UK government said. Michael Adebolajo, 28, the man wielding a bloody knife and cleaver in the now infamous video of the attack, reportedly was raised Christian but became “obsessed”

During the May 22 broadcast of National Public Radio´s "Talk of the Nation," host Neil Conan repeatedly contradicted a guest by claiming that the IRS has nothing at all to do with Obamacare. NPR´s Conan is, of course, completely incorrect. The IRS is up to its Tea Party harassing neck in Obamacare. The guest Conan contradicted was Kellyanne Conway, a Republican strategist and pollster. Conway was on to discuss the various scandals in which Obama is mired and close to the end of her segment she questioned how the American people can trust

The president is planning to lift the restrictions on sending detainees to Yemen in the coming weeks, the Journal reports, citing unidentified U.S. officials. A White House official would not confirm the report that the administration will lift the Yemen restrictions. “We´re not commenting on press reports of transfers associated with Guantanamo,”

Last night, President Barack Obama honored singer Carole King with the the 2013 Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. The celebration took the form of a concert, featuring James Taylor, Gloria Estefan, Billy Joel, Jesse McCartney, Emeli Sande, and Trisha Yearwood. It will air next week on PBS stations across the nation. But the White House has released President Obama´s speech to honor King: The president´s remarks begin with this quip: Thank you. I have to say that as the podium came out, which meant that was my cue, my mother-in-law said, "Oh, shoot." (Laughter.)

Big Government’s Abuses of Power

Government is now so huge, powerful, and callous that citizens risk becoming virtual serfs, lacking the freedoms guaranteed by the Founders. Is that perennial fear an exaggeration? Survey the current news. We have just learned that the Internal Revenue Service before the 2012 election predicated its tax-exemption policies on politics. It inordinately denied tax exemption to groups considered conservative or otherwise antagonistic to the president’s agenda. If the supposedly nonpartisan IRS is perceived as skewing our taxes on the basis of our politics, then the entire system of trust in self-reporting is rendered null and void.

Former Rep. The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.
