| Lance Armstrong lied to me. Twice. I know, I’ve got plenty of company. He lied to other journalists, racing officials, his fans, and anyone else who would listen in denying that he used illegal substances in winning his cycling titles. Now comes an orchestrated leak to the New York Times in which Armstrong seems about to fess up, “according to several people with direct knowledge of the situation.” He has “told associates associates and antidoping officials,” says the paper, “that he is considering publicly admitting that he used banned performance-enhancing drugs and blood transfusions during his cycling career.”

This reminds me of bodybuilding - were there any "clean" high level bicyclists? I don´t know, but have they checked everyone else? If you say that doesn´t matter, I understand, but I am curious.

I don´t know whether he cheated or not, but I would bet that he did nothing worse than any of the other high performing cyclists. Any one of them could been picked out of the lineup for prosecution(persecution?). But Armstrong is an American. He won what the world has long considered to be a European, primarily French, event. The goal of beating up Armstrong was to discourage Americans from competing and put the Europeans firmly back in control of the Tour. It may be that Armstrong is going to ´fess up and in the process expose a whole bunch of Frenchies for doing the same thing. They´d best be careful what they wish for.

Lance´s ´I´m so so sorry´ tear jerking book will no doubt be out soon (Which is what is really behind his upcoming confession. It´s in the script) and Kurtz will be first one in line for an autugraphed copy. Liberals secretly admire good liars and obviously don´t mind being lied to. Look how they fawn over the Clintons.

Oh Howie, if only you and your fellow ´journalist´ took lying from politicians as seriously as lies from obscure sports´ athletes. Armstrong s lies did nothing to me or my family. But, Clinton, Obambi, Reid Piglosi and countless others have increased my taxes, destroy my children´s future and eliminated the US as a free country all the while lying their behinds off.

If there were an organized opposition to comprehensive immigration reform -- and there really isn´t, compared to the political/business/activist/lobbying complex in favor of it -- the opposition would pound daily on the key weakness at the heart of the Senate Gang of Eight bill. That weakness is simple. The bill proposes to legalize 11 million currently illegal immigrants before imposing greater border security and workplace enforcement. In that, the gang´s priorities are different from the American people´s. An opposition would remind the public of that, often. American tourists dining on a glacier in eastern Iceland found themselves floating away from shore on an iceberg earlier this week, an Icelandic newspaper reported. Four people were rescued from Fjallsárlón glacial lagoon. They had set up a table and chairs with plans for dinner when a gust of wind pushed the ice from the land. They were stranded about 30 feet from shore. One of the diners managed to jump to shore before the ice drifted too far and call for help. The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
