| Change is not always good. That should be obvious to anyone who has observed Congress for more than a minute, but unfortunately there seems to be a built-in human bias which assumes that we collectively get wiser as time passes.This optimism bubbles up despite mankind being the race which up till now has given us the charming innovations of slavery, car bombs, and, of course, flying passenger airplanes into occupied skyscrapers.[SNIP}Mind you, I’m not against progress — I just don’t see much evidence that mankind should be put in charge of it

Yes, great article...too bad that folks don´t seem to want God running the show (even though He gladly gave us free will). Then again, lefties don´t want free will either. They want to be God.

Another promise from the Bible, ´´Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father´s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.´´ That´s the unshakeable kingdom. Keep looking up.

I have a little trouble with the notion that God gets all the credit while man gets all the blame. There is also the pesky problem of people fighting about who´s God is in charge.
As an agnostic I would prefer an absolute minimum of both church and state power and influence.
Perhaps there is a God.
Perhaps not.
I fear more the destruction of the scientific method in modern culture than the lack of faith.

FTA "Witness the Founding Fathers, and how their words and intentions have been twisted every which way until after just over 225 years, people in America actually think that our Constitution protects abortion, gay marriage, banning prayer in public places, and demanding that people pay for activities which they find to be morally abhorrent." Today the Founding Fathers are all portrayed as white racists, slave owners and haters of women. The left and the msm are constantly demonizing the Constitution and the men who wrote it. They have absolutely no room for God period!

On Monday May 6, I stumbled across an Internet news story in the Washington Times about a threatened cyberterror attack that was scheduled to occur on Tuesday, May 7.According to this story by Shaun Waterman, the Department of Homeland Security had sent a bulletin to “the private sector” [SNIP] I am not a bank, a major corporation or a government agency, so although I found the story interesting, I promptly put it out of my mind—at least until I woke up the following morning, May 7, and discovered that my Internet service was down

I got an e-mail from Democratic lobbyist John Podesta last week that began “Dear Friend,” so I knew it had arrived at my inbox by accident. Chuck Schumer not to “jump to conclusions” about “the events in Boston” or “to try to conflate those events” with the immigration reform bill hammered out by Schumer and the other seven senators who have appropriately identified themselves as gangsters. When I was a kid, women were demanding “Equal Pay for Equal Work.” Somewhere along the way in the last 50 years, that has been conveniently truncated to “Equal Pay— Period.”At least, that SHOULD be the slogan — if truth in advertising laws could be applied to political posturing — because Equal Pay Day, which falls on Tuesday, April 9, is not about equal pay for equal work, but just about increasing women’s pay arbitrarily as a form of Marxist social engineering.The press release I got from the (George Soros-funded) National Partnership for Women & Families lamented

Last week, I somewhat audaciously proposed a “Restoration Amendment” to free the U.S. Constitution from decades of judicial precedent and neglect and return it as much as possible to the original intent of our nation’s founders.Many readers were grateful for the effort and pitched in with their own ideas for how the federal leviathan could be tamed, but many others were dismal and dismayed — certain that any honest effort to reform the nation was already a lost cause, and that the Constitution was already good enough if only people would follow it. WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement
