massacre town Aurora

A gunman killed three people before police killed him in a shooting in a house in Aurora, Colorado, scene earlier this year of a massacre in a cinema, local media reported. NBC television´s local affiliate KUSA reported that police had said that one survivor escaped from the house, where an "armed and dangerous" man had earlier barricaded himself inside with hostages. Aurora made global headlines in July after a horrific shooting at a movie theatre that left 12 people dead and 58 others wounded during the first midnight screening of the latest Batman film The Dark Knight Rises.

Comments:
The crazies are on the loose (in case you didn´t notice).

The article gives no deatils about anything, except to reference two completely unrelated incidents.
I guess reporting is just too hard so they did the French thing and gave up.

Two crazies in the same town, I guess the odds are getting better for the deranged. Better add an additional practice session this month.

Do these professional "journalists" even read what they write? Does the editor of the media outlet even come to work? Reading this is confusing. It says;

(fta) A gunman killed three people before police killed him in a shooting in a house in Aurora, Colorado, scene earlier this year of a massacre in a cinema, local media reported."

Yet the dateline says Jan 6, 2013- So to have this be true the cinema shooting at the Batman showing would have had to have happened after the first of Jan, 2013. It´s like it is written in some kind of foreign language sentence structure turned back into a form of English. Are the Chinese writing our news for us now, in some kind of subterranean prison sweatshop? Google Translator is useful in capital ways for such flowerful things.

So, among the 7 billion living humans, there are a few off-the-charts total wack-jobs?

Ground-breaking news.

Aurora you better protect yourself. Kill or be killed.

These horrible events are feeding media hunger for scaremongering news. There is a contagion afoot - susceptible people are picking it up - in many cases they have nothing to lose, they see no future and worst of all have no faith or belief system to give them hope. One only has to read and realize the enormity of the daily shooting listings from murder capitol Chicago.

Reply 7 - Posted by: Spidey, 1/5/2013 2:48:38 PM     (No. 9100541)

The media is going to publicize as many shootings as it can without giving much detail because they´re trying to marshal the forces behind a gun ban.

This country has some how mentally roped off inner city shootings while raising more alarm on honest gun owners who have no intention of doing a shoot ´em up.Liberals believe in doing something as opposed to doing nothing, whether it solves the problem or not.

When you have a president who doesn´t give one wit about the rule of law,it only complicates things further. He doesn´t have the backbone to stand up to the gun grabbers.

There´s a lot of dem gun owners in this country that haven´t been heard from yet.Senators up for re-election in cross over states prolly don´t want this ban brought up.

Stop publicizing these nuts and maybe there would be fewer like killings. That´s what they are looking for - publicity. Yeah, they may end up dead, but their names and deeds will remain. Look, they aren´t heroes, and should be relegated to a unknown grave, along with their name. That´s what most of them want; notoriety.

Aurora is now the "Cinema Shooter Town?" What a stupid headline. I never read the article, the headline let me know the article was not worth reading.

This is already back-page news. I´m betting it was a drug killing. No further information will be sought or provided by our dishonest news media.

Poor Aurora. You know, in Aurora Illinois there was a mass murder at a Brown´s Chicken and Pasta. Two guys came in at closing and robbed the place, forced the people to enter the freezer and shot them all. They were caught after more than a decade when a couple of women they knew aided the police in getting information.

If only the manager at Brown´s had been armed ...

Reply 11 - Posted by: JAN, 1/5/2013 4:31:49 PM     (No. 9100634)

No mention of the fact that Aurora is Zazi´s hometown. He was captured in NYC with plans to blow up a subway or two.

But then islamic terrorists are unmentionables.

Consider the fact that this is Colorado, the state that legalized marijuana. Lot´s of crazies running around in the mile high state from the looks of things.

Another chance to jump on the gun control bandwagon instead of mental health laws.

Americans in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll sharply reject special scrutiny of conservative groups by the Internal Revenue Service, suspect an administration cover-up of the Benghazi incident and express substantial distrust of the federal government more generally. (Snip) Longer-term impacts of contentious current issues remain to be seen, but there´s potential for significant damage to the administration. Americans by a vast 74-20 percent see the IRS´ behavior as inappropriate, with most feeling that way strongly - and 56 percent see it as a deliberate attempt to harass conservative organizations, not a mere administrative error.

A massive tornado ripped through Moore, Okla., Monday afternoon, leveling a huge swath of a residential area in the suburb of Oklahoma City. Video footage from KFOR-TV showed houses, businesses and at least two schools completely demolished, with cars strewn about. Police and emergency crews have begun to respond, but debris has clogged roadways. There is no tally yet on injuries or deaths, but news anchors said significant casualties are expected. At least one large fire has broken out amid the rubble. The twister is already being compared to the May 3, 1999 storm that ripped through Moore

LOS ANGELES - More poor people live in the nation´s suburbs than in urban cities because of affordable housing, service-sector jobs and the increased use of housing vouchers, according to a study released Monday. The number of those in poverty living in suburbs jumped 67 percent between 2000 and 2011, a much larger increase than in cities, researchers for the Brookings Institution said. Suburbs, however, still have a smaller percentage of the poor than cities do. The report notes that poor people were pulled to the suburbs by more affordable homes and followed jobs that were often low paying.

LOS ANGELES -- flocking to Southern California beaches are used to feeding the meter or paying a parking attendant. Not so along the less developed north coast where it´s customary to ditch cars on the shoulder of Highway 1 to surf, swim or picnic. That sandy line that long defined the state´s disparate beach culture may soon fade. In search of new revenue, the state parks system is eyeing parking fees for parts of the Northern California shoreline where none existed or considering hiking rates to visit popular beaches south of Los Angeles during peak periods.

CAIRO — The pale, young Christian woman sat handcuffed in the courtroom, accused of insulting Islam while teaching history of religions to fourth-graders. A team of Islamist lawyers with long beards sang in unison, "All except the Prophet Muhammad." (Snip) Blasphemy charges were not uncommon in Egypt under the now-ousted autocrat Hosni Mubarak´s regime, but there has been a surge in such cases in recent months, according to rights activists. The trend is widely seen as a reflection of the growing power and confidence of Islamists, particularly the ultraconservative Salafis. "Salafis are the engineers of these stories,"

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement

While many Americans were tuned into news coverage of the massive damage from tornadoes ravaging the state of Oklahoma, Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse took to the Senate floor to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Whitehouse spent 15 minutes chastising GOP senators and justified his remarks by alluding to states that seek federal assistance in the wake of natural disasters. “So, you may have a question for me,” Whitehouse said. “Why do you care? Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.
