President Obama´s inaugural planning committee on Friday released the names of several contributors to the president´s swearing-in festivities. The committee decided to accept corporate donations this time, after banning them in 2009. Companies such as AT&T, Microsoft, biotech firm Genentech, Inc., healthcare company Centene Corp., Financial Innovations, Inc., Whittier Trust Co., and Stream Line Circle, LLC appeared on the committee´s web site along with the names of several individual contributors. The Presidential Inaugural Committee did not reveal the amount of the donations nor say when they would release more names.

Don´t worry about posting any other donor names, I´m sure they have already been acknowledged by the Fiscal Cliff tax break for friends of Obama bill. Hollyweird and other tax benefit give-away friends have been duly noted. Others will be rewarded the next dirty pork laden bill go-round.

Just print the prok receivers here - we understand the process.

Exactly #2. Time to update this rapidly ever-expanding list.

I don´t get the idea of two inaugurations to begin with. This is nothing but ruling class types getting a special privilege because them and Obama scratch each other´s backs. A lot of these people are at least millionaires, the very people Obama derided during the campaign.Somehow the wealth redistribution crowd and anti-corporatists don´t have a problem with this.

I can just imagine Bush having a private with Halliburton being a valued guest.

Surprised Google has not been strong armed yet for getting off easy off easy this week ( must have been all those Obama donations and campaigning for him online). I say boycott any company that contributes because they are traitors for supporting this Marxist regime.

Another Republican Super PAC is jumping into the increasingly nasty Massachusetts Senate battle, going after Democrat Ed Markey’s biggest weakness — his $1.3 million Maryland home. The America Rising PAC, recently founded by Mitt Romney’s former presidential campaign manager, is planning to deliver a letter today to Maryland’s comptroller urging the state to investigate why Markey has never paid state income taxes there despite living in the upscale Chevy Chase suburb for two decades, the Herald has learned. Markey’s residency status has been dogging him throughout his career, ever since the Herald reported in the early 1990s

Los Angeles County coroner´s officials said Wednesday the body recovered from a fiery, single-car crash in Hollywood that apparently killed journalist Michael Hastings will likely undergo an autopsy Thursday. But an official cause of death and closure of the case is not likely for four to six weeks or perhaps longer, they said. Coroner´s officials are hoping the results will answer why the accident happened. Officials were attempting to match dental records to help make a positive identification. The death of the 33-year-old Hastings was announced Tuesday by his employer, BuzzFeed,

Meet the Women for Weiner. The former congressman, who apologized for the lewd picture scandal that ended his House career before launching a bid last month for New York City mayor, is holding a fundraiser hosted by “Women for Anthony” next week at the Manhattan home of an education activist and philanthropist. The host committee is led by his wife, Huma Abedin, and includes her sister, Heba; Rory Tahari, wife of designer Elie Tahari; and Cheryl Saban, the wife of California-based mega-donor Haim Saban, who funded a short film lauding Hillary Clinton’s tenure at the State Department

Known as the City of the Century, it was once the centre of the country´s booming steel industry. But now Gary, Indiana, lies in ruins as a tragic example of American industrial decline. Authorities are desperately looking at new ways to combat the city´s crippling recession - one possiblity could be halving its size. Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson believes letting vast expanses of the city, founded in 1906 by the US Steel Corporation, return to nature might be a solution. ´I’d like to see 100,000 folks in Gary. That’d be great,´ the mayor said reported NBC News.

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

Listening to Barack Obama give his speech in Belfast on Monday, it was hard not to stifle a yawn. I kept waiting for the part when he would say something interesting, but, about three quarters of the way through, realised it wasn’t going to come. Judging from television pictures some of his young audience felt the same, after the initial rush of euphoria of receiving the rock star president in their midst had passed. This is not surprising, for we had already heard this number about the inspirational role of the Northern Ireland peace process and the Emerald Isle’s

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
