Did you know that if you own a gun you are equivalent to a child molester? According to Mark Green, who has run for the mayoralty of new York on the Democratic ticket, your right to own a gun grants you the same right to privacy as a child molester: none. Green appeared on "Hardball" Thursday and pronounced that gun ownership laws should be severe in their restrictions, and that just as in “Megan’s Law” which stipulates that sex offenders must be listed in a registry open to the public,
Comments: All the vile Democrats are trying to outdo themselves in who can make the most outrageous statements regarding gun control. Idiots all.
Sure so another newspaper can print all the names and addresses of the gun owners, which, by the way, lets all the criminals know all the unarmed homes. Hmmmm, which ones would I rob if I were a criminal?
Since many gun owners are former police officers, giving out their address in any public forum is dangerous to them and their families. There are a lot of criminals who would like to have that information, to retaliate against the lawmen who put them in jail--or tried to.
Years ago, a suburban NY county put property records online--searchable by homeowners´ names, complete with pictures of their home, and the floor plan. Police officers, and other people with sensitive jobs, protested the practice, and it was quickly dropped.
I´m a great-grandmother. I live with my daughter and a grandson while my son-in-law is overseas for the second of three years of deployments. When my adult granddaughter was being stalked we had her move home until the stalker could be caught and convicted. Here she was protected by a fully armed household, not just a piece of paper issued by a judge. We are not the equivalent of child molesters. We are a child molester´s worst nightmare.
So, Mr. Green, before we register all the everyday citizens who feel the need to protect themselves, why don’t we first require the registration and public disclosure of every gutless politician and bureaucrat who has armed protective guards for their office, for their person or for their home and family? You leftists don’t get a free pass just because you’re too cowardly to pick up the weapon to defend yourself and your family.
With the registry proposed by this evil fool, the location of any woman who relocates in order to protect herself would be revealed to her stalker, should she take the common-sense measure of arming herself.
Trying to explain the error of his argument to this moron is like trying to put lipstick on a pig. It annoys the pig and is a waste of your time.
The sad part is that the news gives his verbal vomit air time instead of laughing at him and turning their backs.
I really believe the problem with this country is not the politicians, but the MSM who tries constantly to influence their / our thinking. If the news REPORTED what the politicians did, rather than mis-reporting or taking things ´out of context´ and screaming Racist at every turn - the politicians would do what their constituents wanted.
Carried further - the kids ´who want to change things´ are taught by their Liberal Professors - rather than being taught the story should be - Who, What, When, Why and How. Two or more sources to make sure the story was correct. Now, it´s who can get the information out the quickest - right or wrong...
The thug cuomo is going to attempt to ban all semiautomatics AND confiscate them from homes. He will do it. It is starting. First you will be declared a criminal and then they will shoot you. Look at the NYC police response to things like showing a wallet. This time they will be amped up and ready to shoot you, in your home. Don´t think it will be confined to NY state.
One of my lefty FB "friends" thinks that stories about gun confiscation and other similar things (like saying we are looking more and more like 1930s Germany) are just scare tactics by the right and that we are no where near anything like that. She even said she wondered what someone who lived through 1930s Germany would say about such ridiculous statements. I sent her a story of a woman who lived through 1930s Austria who said that the situation was just like here now. Funny how my "friend" never responded. She has her head in the sand and I told her so.
WASHINGTON -- A longtime adviser to the U.S. Director of National Intelligence has resigned after the government learned he has worked since 2010 as a paid consultant for Huawei Technologies Ltd., the Chinese technology company the U.S. has condemned as an espionage threat, The Associated Press has learned. Theodore H. Moran, a respected expert on China´s international investment and professor at Georgetown University, had served since 2007 as adviser to the intelligence director´s advisory panel on foreign investment in the United States. Moran also was an adviser to the National Intelligence Council,
DEVELOPING: – An elderly U.S. tourist and war veteran detained for more than a month for alleged hostile acts against North Korea has been deported from that country. North Korean state media said Saturday 85-year-old Merrill Newman was released because he had apologized for his alleged crimes during the Korean War and because of his age and medical condition. It was not clear if his confession was coerced. He was taken off a plane Oct. 26 by North Korean authorities while preparing to leave the country after a 10-day tour. Vice President Joe Biden is currently in South Korea on
At the "Fast Food Forward" protest on Thursday, Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) demanded that Pres. Obama sign an executive order bypassing Congress and unilaterally raising the federal minimum wage. Rep. Ellison told the crowd that they should join him in demanding that Pres. Obama skip seeking Congressional approval and raise the minimum wage on his own - and that he sent the president a letter on Wednesday presenting his demand: "We in Congress will try to raise the minimum wage. We got opponents on the other side of the aisle who say that there shouldn´t be no minimum wage. So, we
Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan joined WSJ Live host Mary Kissel on Friday where they discussed the ongoing issues associated with the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Noonan said she found the way in which this administration has handled this crisis has been among the “oddest” she’s seen. Noonan added that she would like to see “humility” from President Barack Obama rather than combativeness. Kissel began by asking about the “puzzle” of the president’s response to the crisis surrounding the ACA’s faltering website. “I look at the White House the past two months, I think the president and
Another leftist lets the mask slip. Jonathan Alter believes that violent criminals imprisoned for their crimes are political prisoners. He and Al Sharpton talked to themselves on MSNBC today. Sharpton asked Alter what America might learn from the example of Nelson Mandela. Reasonable answers to this question include but are not limited to: Don’t abuse political power to punish your enemies; don’t hold on to political power forever; choose your wife or husband a bit more carefully; don’t seek to divide when unity serves the nation better. Alter wants America to learn a different lesson. None of the above. Alter
As Congress gets ready to battle on immigration reform next year, it´s important to take a look at who will help enforce and shape any kind of immigration overhaul. Former Department of Justice Assistant Attorney General and radical open borders attorney Tom Perez was safely put into the position of Labor Secretary by President Obama and the Senate earlier this year, knowing the Department of Justice is safely locked down as pro-amnesty. Perez has a long history of advocating not for American workers, but for illegal alien workers and made sure the Department of Justice was stacked with pro-amnesty attorneys
Barack Obama delivered a statement on the passing of Nelson Mandela yesterday. During his speech he told about his first public speech on apartheid at Occidental College. “I am one of the countless millions who drew inspiration from Nelson Mandela’s life. My very first political action, the first thing I ever did that involved an issue or a policy or politics, was a protest against apartheid. I studied his words and his writings.” But, Barack Obama forgot to mention that his speech at Occidental was sponsored by Marxists and Weatherman terrorists. Barack Obama’s first public speech was at an Occidental College event
Last summer on his $100 million family tour of Africa, Barack Obama hoped for a priceless photo op with Nelson Mandela, the ailing freedom pioneer who went from prison cell to the presidency of South Africa. Mandela´s family suggested that wouldn’t happen. So, the Obamas did a photo op in Mandela´s former prison cell. Which Obama’s White House quickly tweeted upon word of the icon´s passing at 95. [Skip] But Obama was also caught staring at television coverage of Mandela’s passing, which became Obama’s Photo of the Day.
Hardly a week goes by without Hillary Clinton receiving another award. Last month she was named a “Global Champion” by the International Medical Corps, received the American Patriot Award at the National Defense University Foundation and the Hermandad Award from the Mexican American Leadership Initiative. [Snip] At this rate, if a bunch of elderly left-wing Swedes toss her the Nobel Peace Prize early on, the way they did to Obama, it will barely rate mention among all the other glittering trophies that have been bestowed on a woman whose only actual accomplishment was being married to a crooked governor with
Denver - A baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a same-sex ceremony must serve gay couples despite his religious beliefs or face fines, a judge said Friday. The order from administrative law judge Robert N. Spencer said Masterpiece Cakeshop in suburban Denver discriminated against a couple "because of their sexual orientation by refusing to sell them a wedding cake for their same-sex marriage." The order says the cake-maker must "cease and desist from discriminating" against gay couples. Although the judge did not impose fines in this case, the business will face penalties if it continues to turn away gay
Speaker John Boehner said his party should support gay Republican congressional candidates and urged his colleagues to “be a little more sensitive” when running against women. “Some of our members just aren’t as sensitive as they ought to be,” Boehner said. When asked if he thinks his party should support gay candidates, Boehner simply said: “I do.”
In February, the Bush family’s personal emails were hacked by Guccifer, a hacker who uncovered photographs of former President George H. W. Bush in a hospital bed and George W. Bush’s oil paintings in the process. It seems Guccifer has struck again, this time targeting former President Bill Clinton and the Clinton Library. The hacker has reportedly uncovered doodles of Clinton drawing on what were, at the time, classified documents. Among the doodles is apparently a picture of a penis. The document uncovered is a briefing of the strategic measures the United States could take prior Clinton’s decision to intervene in
Former President Bill Clinton shared an anecdote regarding Nelson Mandela and the aftermath of his impeachment Friday on CNN. Clinton revealed shortly after the “impeachment business” finished on Capitol Hill, Rep. Henry Hyde (R., Ill.) who managed the impeachment trial requested a meeting at the White House. The former president granted the meeting out of lessons of humility and forgiveness he learned from Mandela, he said: BILL CLINTON: I remember one day, oh, about a month after the whole impeachment business was over, Henry Hyde, who had run the whole show, unbelievably enough, maybe a few months after, it was
On Tuesday, The Boston Globe reported that Onyango “Omar” Obama, uncle to President Obama, says that his famous nephew stayed with him while a student at Harvard Law School in the 80s, in contradiction to The White House’s contention that the two had never met. At Thursday’s White House daily briefing, Press Secretary Jay Carney confirmed that the President had, in fact, briefly stayed with “his father’s half-brother,” as Carney described Omar Obama, and that no one had actually asked the President about it when the White House initially commented. The 69 year-old Omar Obama has been facing deportation back
