Vanity Fair: Second Amendment ´Must
Be Removed from the Constitution´

Breitbart´s Big Journalism, by AWR Hawkins

On January 2, Vanity Fair ran an all-out attack on the constitution, the 2nd Amendment, and common sense in a column by Kurt Eichenwald titled, "Let´s Repeal the Second Amendment." Eichenwald´s approach consists of attacking the NRA, arguing that gun owners avoid discussing more gun control by saying they don´t want to "politicize" shootings, and taking the standard progressive position that there wasn´t really a right to keep and bear arms until Justice Antonin Scalia created one in recent Supreme Court decisions. One of his criticisms of the NRA is that they opposed forcing "states to

Coming out of the commie closet now.

Vanity fair is a fashion and gossip magazine. Who gives a duck´s rear what they think about politics?

Anyone who depends on Vanity Fair for their political needs is not a low information voter, they are a negative information voter. You will actually get dumber just reading the cover of that rag.

Then go ahead and repeal it, through the procedures set out in the Constitutuion. Not gonna happen, so we´ll see the Obamadictator try it through illegal means.

Most of these rags are owned by Conde Nast. Have to believe the whole thing has been taken over by foreign enemies, probably old line Ruskies, who can also playcall out to obama.

In other words, we are already prisoners.

OK, never let it be said the collectivists EVER embraced or even accepted the existing rule of the Supreme Law of the Land. They do not stand for the rule of law.

These people are idiot fools at best and traitors at worst.

But never, ever give them your money again. Never accept them. Always ridicule them from here on out.

Seize all cars. More people are killed by cars than guns.

Anything else????

Americans have a choice. They can buy products created by people eager to deny them their Constitutional rights.

Or not.

Articles like this Vanity Fair piece (POS really), the Op-Ed in the NYT on suspending the Constitution don´t just appear randomly. They are trial balloons of the Left. A couple of years back there was a statement by then Gov/ of North Carolina to postpone the 2012 elections ´till the economy was fixed´. The White House beat a hasty retreat from that one. These sound like unhinged inebriated mouthings but should be taken seriously.

#7 I have been thinking about that.

If our States issued liberal tags, four tags for $400 with no limit on how many times you could buy tags, we could probably completely fund our State governments from the revenue, the first year. The second year, we would have to change the tags to progressive tags, because there would not be anyone claiming to be a liberal.

Nothing is by coincidence with this corrupt administration. We know they have contempt for the Constitution because it limits them and protects us.

Reply 17 - Posted by: texaspast, 1/4/2013 6:29:57 PM     (No. 9099063)

I suggest the states vote on it - state by state. Those states that want to outlaw guns can form their own new country and the gun-haters won´t have to share a nation with nasty, evil, gun owners. Or at least none of their law-abiding civilians will have guns. You don´t want the constitution? Form your own separate country. I guarantee the rest of us will not fight to keep you from doing it. Heck, we´ll throw you a party!

This isn´t about the 2nd Amendment as such. This is about the whole Constitution. Getting rid of gun rights is just the point d´appui. I can´t tell if Seidman published too early in the process or if he represents an acceleration of the effort. The Constitution isn´t yet toast, but the heat is on.

In 2007, then Senator Barack Obama appeared on CNN´s Larry King Live and called on U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to resign. Obama said Gonzales was acting more like the president´s attorney than the people´s attorney and viewed himself as an "enabler of the administration." "Well, I voted against Alberto Gonzales confirmation for precisely the reason we are seeing now. I said this on the floor of the senate, that although he seemed to be a capable attorney, he seemed to conceive his role as being the president´s attorney instead of being the people´s attorney," Obama said.

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

The way to prevent abortionists like convicted murderer Kermit Gosnell from occurring again is to build more Planned Parenthood clinics, Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said at a House Judiciary Subcommittee hearing on Thursday about legislation that would prevent abortion after 20 weeks nationwide. “I would urge my colleagues to think about the extent to which he, Dr. Gosnell, represented the poor quality of health care services available in poorer communities,” Nadler said at the Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice hearing. “We should be working to make sure that high quality

House Speaker John A. Boehner on Thursday flatly ruled out chances of the House passing the Senate’s immigration bill, saying his chamber will debate its own bill instead. The Ohio Republican and his top lieutenants in the party issued a joint statement that seemed designed to tamp down some of the momentum behind the Senate bill, which emerged from a committee on a bipartisan 13-5 vote this week, and to stake out a House GOP position. “While we applaud the progress made by our Senate colleagues, there are numerous ways in which

During friendly questioning from Rep. Hank “I fear that Guam will capsize!” Johnson in Congress last week, Attorney General Eric Holder offered the following statement. In regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material. This is not something I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be wise policy. He made that statement before the facts about the sweep on Fox News’ James Rosen were known. Since then, it’s come to light that Holder himself approved the subpoena that, among other things, named Rosen as a criminal co-conspirator.

As the saying goes, scratch a liberal and you’ll find a tyrant underneath. NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo is but the latest example. He shoved a very restrictive and ill-considered gun law through the state legislature in the dead of night. Among its flaws, the law criminalized police officers who tote firearms with magazines that hold more than seven rounds. Sheriffs around the state have objected to the law. Cuomo summoned them to the state capitol under what appears to be a false pretext, and used the meeting to threaten them into silence. Cuomo invited

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center.
