RUSH: This is hilarious. I have CNN on one of my monitors here, and you may have heard that Hugo Chavez -- the dictator and communist leader in Venezuela -- is nearing room temperature. And this has the CNN people distressed. I mean, he´s a great socialist leader! He´s done great things to impoverish his people, but everybody´s equal down there. It´s cool. And, of course, with Chavez nearing the great reward, the Great Socialist in the Sky, they´re bringing on (in advance of his expiration) a bunch of tributes. Normally they wait ´til people die to do tributes, but I

It´s becoming more & more common for people to feel they´ve been screwed by the government or circumstances (hell, I´m one of them, especially the government!), but increasingly intrusive government is not the solution.

American ingenuity is the answer, but too many socialists, and even communists, in congress are shackling it. Prayer didn´t work very well during the last election, and I blame hoity-toity so-called conservatives who stayed at home for it.

The afore-mentioned neo-cons have done it for the rest of us, and we´re witnessing history in the making.

Tighten your chin-strap!

The Communist Dicktater Bammy...
in order to do TO AmeriKa...
what Chavez has done TO Venezuela...

would need vast oceans of K-9 Jelly...
and reams of Trojans...
more than his trillion dollar deficit budget will allow Himself to buy.

Then he´ll have to pay child support
for the additional gummint dependents
he´s procreated into existence when his Trojans failed.

That´ll be the day.

Reversal of Fortune --
let´s hope America does to Bammy...
what Venezuela is doing to Chavez.

It´s about time that Hugo started smelling the sulfur fumes. It´s going to be awfully hot where he´s going. Don´t let the kitchen door hit you on the way out. Hugo, enemy of America, friend of Iran.

For once I agree with Oliver Stone. His Hugo propaganda movie ´South of the Border´ was extremely good too, in that it showed all of latin America´s leftwing dictators in their unintentionally in their vain, selfish, vicious, and mendacious glory. Stone couldn´t see it, but I could. So it is with Hugo and Obama. Stone says it like it´s a good thing. Those with eyes to see see reality.

I am starting to approve of Stone - he´s upfront about the slimy evil agenda of the left.

The Senate’s pending immigration bill will pave the way for the arrival of 46 million legal immigrants over the next 20 years, increase the federal debt in the same time period and shrink Americans’ average wage, according Alabama Republican Sen. Jeff Session’s critical reading of two new reports on the pending immigration reform bill provided by the Congressional Budget Office. But Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio, the most prominent GOP advocate for the immigration reform bill, says the CBO reports are good news for Americans.

Capitol Hill police are trying to block activists attending Wednesday´s "Audit the IRS" rally from also attending a nearly day-long press conference on immigration, hosted by Reps. Steve King and Louie Gohmert. The IRS rally is on the west side of the Capitol, while the immigration event is on the east side. Organizers for the IRS event were told by Hill police that "your people" can only assemble on the west side. Organizers were told to remove the activists from the immigration event.

BERLIN — President Barack Obama is challenging Americans and Europeans not to become complacent even though the Cold War is over. Obama is speaking at Berlin´s iconic Brandenburg Gate nearly 50 years after John F. Kennedy´s famous speech in the once-divided city. Obama says there´s a temptation to turn inward now that barbed wire and concrete walls no longer separate East and West in Berlin. He says he´s returned to Berlin because the tests of our time require the same fighting spirit. He´s pointing to poverty and unemployment as ongoing challenges requiring the world´s

Today’s Morning Jolt features the Pentagon smacking down Secretary of State John Kerry, some politicians going on a showy diet, and then this easily overlooked development . . . Meanwhile, Back in Benghazi . . . Remember my story about the smuggling of shoulder-mounted anti-aircraft missiles in and out of Libya during that country’s civil war? Public reports indicate U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens was working on tracking those missiles when he was attacked and murdered in Benghazi. While the most lurid allegations of U.S. arms smuggling to Libya are not yet proven, the Obama administration

WASHINGTON -- Former Congressman Allen West says challenging Senator Marco Rubio in the 2016 Republican Florida primary election would be a daunting task. "That´s a pretty heavy lift, because you´re talking about running against a sitting senator, and then, of course, that creates that schism that the other side would love to see happen," said West, who appeared as a guest co-host on WMAL´s Mornings on the Mall Wednesday. West was pressed further by WMAL´s Larry O´Connor, who asked him directly if he would rule out a challenge against Rubio

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would win Florida against both Sen. Marco Rubio and former Gov. Jeb Bush in the 2016 presidential election, a new poll finds. If the election were held today, Clinton would top Bush 50 percent to 43 percent, and she would best Rubio 53 percent to 41 percent, according to Wednesday’s survey from Quinnipiac. Vice President Joe Biden would trail both of Florida’s Republican favorites. If he were the Democratic candidate, Bush would win 47 percent to 43 percent, and Rubio would narrowly defeat Biden 45 percent to 43 percent.

Former Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) said Wednesday that he may mount a primary challenge to Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) in their state´s 2016 U.S. Senate primary. West told station WMAL that he could run for Senate "if I see people that are not taking our country down the right path, if I see people that are not standing up for the right type of principles, and putting their own party politics before what is best for the United States of America." Asked directly in he would rule out challenging Rubio, West responded, "Chirping... chirping... chirping."

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

As NewsBusters reported last week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called out vulgarian comedian Bill Maher for referring to her Down Syndrome son Trig as "retarded." On ABC´s The View Monday, co-host Barbara Walters astonishingly defended Maher saying, "I don´t think he intended it to be mean-spirited" (video follows with transcript and commentary): WHOOPI GOLDBERG: At a recent standup show in Las Vegas, comedian Bill Maher apparently called Sarah Palin’s five-year-old developmentally-challenged son Trig retarded. And Sarah blasted him on Twitter as a bully. Is that, is it, is he a bully? Is he a bad, what is he?

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.

The Obamas never miss an opportunity to mingle with the stars and during a two-day trip in Dublin, who better to have lunch with than iconic Irish rocker and philanthropist Bono? First Lady Michelle along with daughters Malia, 14, and Sasha, 11, started Tuesday with an hour-long visit to picturesque Glendalough in the Wicklow Mountains--but the two girls looked like they would have rather slept in at their luxury hotel. Glendalough is famous for its Medieval monastic settlement founded in the 6th century by St Kevin, the hermit priest. After appearing less than thrilled on Monday while viewing Medieval manuscripts
