| The outcome wasn’t a surprise: Barack Obama was re-elected Friday to a second term as president. There was no fretting about Ohio’s 18 electoral votes. There was no doubt about who would take Florida’s 29. And it was just a matter of reading a script to officially cast Virginia’s 13.The votes of the much discussed but quickly forgotten Electoral College were tallied and certified in a joint session of Congress on Friday. For Obama and Vice President Joe Biden, there were 332 votes cast. Republican Mitt Romney and running mate Paul Ryan received 206 votes.

Whenever I´m at doctors´ offices or other businesses, I make a point of working my loathing of "that Marxist traitor" in the White House into the conversation. Usually it gets good responces, but not always, so I kow where to do future business.

#5: The issue is that Obama´s father was not an American citizen. Period. Birth location is immaterial. Birth certificates are immaterial.
Since neither Jindal´s nor Rubio´s parents were American citizens from birth, neither Jindal nor Rubio qualifies as a Natural Born Citizen. Both are ineligible for the Presidency. Period.

Republicans are furious about the administration’s response to the Benghazi attack that left four diplomats dead, according to a poll released Monday, but have yet to persuade the broader American public of the scandal’s seriousness. Forty-one percent of Republicans in the survey from Public Policy Polling, a Democratic firm, said it was the biggest political scandal in American history, compared to only 23 percent of the general public. Nearly three-quarters of Republicans also said the scandal was bigger than the Watergate or Teapot Dome scandals. Seventy percent said it was worse the Iran-Contra.

U.S. voters generally approve of Israel’s decision to bomb targets in Syria but still believe the United States should stay out of the conflict there. Sixty-one percent (61%) of Likely U.S. Voters at least somewhat approve of Israel’s decision to bomb suspected missile storage facilities in Syria. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that only 29% disapprove. This includes 32% who Strongly Approve and 11% who Strongly Disapprove.

The nation´s attention turned to terrorism when two bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon Monday afternoon. Scott Rasmussen´s latest poll on Obama approval finds that Obama´s approval rating is at 54%. Strongly approve is 33%, and strongly disapprove is 36%, but the total approval (and this is a poll of likely voters) is at 54%. One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday. The friend said he left the interview, and when he came back to the apartment he found that there had been a shooting.

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
