| The rout was complete, the retreat disorderly. President Obama got his tax hikes — naked of spending cuts — passed by the ostensibly Republican House of Representatives. After which, you might expect him to pivot to his self-proclaimed "principle" of fiscal "balance" by taking the lead on reducing spending. "Why," asked the Washington Post on the eve of the final "fiscal-cliff" agreement, "is the nation´s leader not embracing and then explaining the balanced reforms the nation needs?" Because he has no interest in them. He´s a visionary, not an accountant. He´ll pretend to care about deficits, especially while

Oh yeah, the Obamboozler is a real visionary! When he looks out over this once great land he see´s, cultivates and caters to the largest group of dumbed-down, barely aware, dope-smoking, self-absorbed, media-influenced, celebrity-obsessed, Food-Stamp wielding, Escalade driving, Kool-Aid drinking, entitlement rich, government-dependent, busted-ass, free-loading, low information, Obamaphone zombies and ignorant, gullible, White guilt-ridden, Volvo-driving, Birkenstock-wearing, bottled-water-drinking, Politically Correct, Xanax-disabled, Valium-dependent, mindless, spineless liberal lemmings that´s ever existed!

Awwwwh Charles, tell it like it is, "a committed big-government social-democrat" is just code for communist.
As to the other points that Charles made, it is about the destruction of the United States of America. I still cannot believe that an intelligent man like Charles does not realize the end game of this evil regime.

During the 40´s an English politician predicted America would eventually embrace social democracy with the expansion of the "proletariat," referring at that time to the increase in the black population, among others. Immigration has sped up the process, but it certainly looks as if demographics (and a lack of education) contribute to the support for a socialist style state.

Good point, #11.
He must not be underestimated. He´s deftly leveraged his class-war-themed election victory (a) to secure a source of funding (albeit still small) for the bloated welfare state, (b) to carry out an admirably candid bit of income redistribution and (c) to fracture the one remaining institutional obstacle to his ideological agenda.
Re: Dr. K´s "(a), it may be small now, but give O time. He plans to gather as much wealth from as many white people as possible.
Re: (b), it´s "admirable" because it is working, not because it´s good policy for anyone except Obama. Redistribution (outright theft is what it really is) punishes achievers and benefits non-achievers but in the end, harms everyone.
Re: (c) This is the scary part. Now that he is re-elected, he is free to expand his Communist agenda unless he is stopped by Congress. This includes invalidating the 22nd amendment. He has proved he has no compunctions about circumventing the Constitution, so watch for trial balloons about this.

This all means there are approx. 150 million Americans not only watching this happen but funding the destruction. I pray for a leader, a voice that will unite these 155 million to fight with every available means to defeat this takeover before it´s too late. The left is destroying this country with $$$ supplied by us, the taxpaying, God fearing, gun clinging fringe. Lawsuits, tax rebellion, marches, demonstrations, before we are relying on our ability to defend ourselves with the weapons they so desparately want to grab.

Obama and all his supporters are not trying to destroy America, but they can´t help it because of their ideology. They want nothing to do with God, don´t want to be judgmental in any way, want a live-and-let-live cuture with no absolutes, no right or wrong, want to punish people who are wealthier than they (since they must have gottent that wealth by theft) and want to silence anyone who tries to uphold any moral standard and relies on God to tell them what is good and evil instead of opinion.
No culture can last without morals, without the unwritten laws of love, charity (not the government perverted version of it) humility and character. Nor can they last if they destroy everything that is sacred like church, family, marriage, truth and life. Nor last if they pervert freedom and liberty into self-indulgence and self gratification without consequences.
Obama thinks like all Marxists think; that if he can pass enough laws, restrictions and controls, he can force mankind to be good. He can´t do it because nobody can do it. He has been lied to and he believes them... like all secualarists.

Spend what America doesn´t have until we are in economic oblivion and America is no more. We will then become the largest third-world country in the world.
This was/is Obama´s vision for "Hope and Change" which is rapidly becoming a reality. Soon, there will be no money, no jobs, no national defense, no hope, and no way out.
Our enemies have won without firing a shot.

He´s redistributing wealth. When your parents told you to stay in school and work hard, they didn´t realize that there would be a president whose only thoughts were to take what one has earned and distribute it to the ones who never worked hard, didn´t study and didn´t stay in school. Welfare was to be a stop gap. It was never made to become a lifestyle. Too bad this guy never listened to that in school but then again, it does get him a lot of votes.

Film and television stars hit Republicans on Wednesday for their opposition to abortion rights and free access to birth control. Stanley Tucci, Morena Baccarin, Mehcad Brooks and others appeared in a Web video where they slammed conservative positions on women´s health as retrograde. The international Center for Reproductive Rights (CRR) is behind the multi-stage campaign to push President Obama to make women´s health issues a centerpiece of his second term. The group is also raising support for its Bill of Reproductive Rights.

As the old saying goes, beware of Greeks bearing gifts; but as the new saying goes, beware even more of Republicans bearing bribes. In either case, one could get destroyed (or at least corrupted) from the inside by trusting the wrong people. Since 2006, with the beginnings of the breakaway of populist conservatives from the national Republican Party via the Tea Party movement, the GOP has been trying to figure out how to co-opt and capture it once again, just as George W. Bush did with many elements of the conservative movement in the early years of the 21st century.

Major news outlets in recent days have reported that U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is raising money from the private sector—including from health-care executives—for use by a private entity that is helping to implement ObamaCare. The entity, Enroll America, is run by a former White House aide. The Washington Post quoted an HHS spokesman last week saying, "We requested additional money [from Congress] . . . but we didn´t receive any additional funding for the exchanges. So we had to come up with Plan B." My immediate thought was: Isn´t "Plan B" what got

Every day brings new revelations about who knew what about the IRS targeting conservative groups during President Obama´s re-election campaign, but the overall impression is of a vast federal bureaucracy run amok. While the White House continues to peddle the story of a driverless train wreck, taxpayers are being treated to a demonstration of the dangers of an unwieldy and unaccountable administrative state. Look, Ma, no hands! In his press events, Mr. Obama has said that while he learned about the Cincinnati rogues on the news, he plans to "hold accountable those who have taken these outrageous actions."

Scandal Watch: New evidence makes it clear that the Internal Revenue Service campaign against conservatives wasn´t the result of two "rogue" agents, but was directed from higher up. The question is, how high up? The claim that a couple of workers in the bowels of an IRS office in Cincinnati managed to block tax-exempt applications from conservative groups for more than two years, while subjecting them to outrageous, intrusive and improper requests for information, started falling apart days ago. Last weekend, the Washington Post quoted a staffer saying that "everything comes from the top" at the IRS.

Scandal: The rest of us must answer IRS questions under threat of perjury, but the agency´s execs can take the Fifth. A Tea Party targeted by the IRS — and the FBI and OSHA and the ATF — thinks that´s unfair. We do too. Lois Lerner, chief of the IRS´ exempt organizations division when the Tea Party and other conservative groups were targeted for their opposition to President Obama, has invoked her Fifth Amendment right not to be questioned on her earlier testimony, her opening statement or any knowledge she may have of who ordered

National Security: The U.S. knows who and where five of the Benghazi terrorists are who murdered Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans. The Obama administration´s ideology keeps them free. Remember when, in the summer of 2008, soon-to-be Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama charged that President Bush´s strategy was to "engineer the distraction of the war in Iraq at a time when we could have pinned down the people who actually committed 9/11"? He was making several serious charges: • Bush, since he was the president, could have lit a fire under investigators to catch the 9/11 terrorist enablers.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.
