| In praising Congress´s huge new tax increase, President Obama said Tuesday that "millionaires and billionaires" will finally "pay their fair share." That is, unless you are a Nascar track owner, a wind-energy company or the owners of StarKist Tuna, among many others who managed to get their taxes reduced in Congress´s New Year celebration. There´s plenty to lament about the capital and income tax hikes, but the bill´s seedier underside is the $40 billion or so in tax payoffs to every crony capitalist and special pleader with a lobbyist worth his million-dollar salary.

Alongside this article is a list, by name, of those senators, members of the Senate Finance Committee, who voted for the special interest "tax extender" bill back in August. Mostly Dems, but there are Republicans there - and the five Republicans who voted "no" - Burr, Coburn, Cornyn, Enzi and Kyl. This giveaway was tacked on to the bill passed the other night.
If you were disgusted before you read the article, you´ll be livid now...

I´ve been telling you all for 2 years that Obama would have a stack of carve outs on tax increases.The tax increase was aimed at republicans only.The simple reason is Obama doesn´t want republicans to have monet to donate to candidates.Lot of good the donations did in Nov. anyway. Something went off the tracks between the masterful job in 2010 and 2012.
Everybody know star kist is a Pelosi stepchild and she also got Obamacare carve outs.She has more power than Boehner.
watch for the CBO to come out and say the tax increases will bring in less than projected.

When will Obama make the green energy, climate change groups pay their fair share, fathers for their children, students for their education, aliens for their medical care, the poor for their housing? Obama should review these type of subsidies for revenue potential.

In House testimony Friday, former Acting IRS Commissioner Steven Miller explained that the IRS mistakes in handling applications for non-profit status from tea party groups were due, in large part, to a flood of applications following the Citizens United decision. Miller said the targeting was a botched attempt to centralize the process to account for the increased workload. President Obama announced Wednesday that acting IRS Commissioner Steven Miller would resign in the wake of the agency scandal in which conservative groups were targeted -- though Miller was apparently set to step down anyway. An official close to Miller told Fox News, shortly after Obama´s brief announcement, that the IRS chief was "set to resign the position of acting commission as of early June." He was planning to leave the IRS entirely a "couple of months later, regardless of the current controversy," the source said. These details were not mentioned by the president

House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday.
