| President Barack Obama will go for immigration reform and gun control this month, the White House tells the left-leaning Huffington Post. Obama´s actions will reportedly be done "quickly." "An Obama administration official said the president plans to push for immigration reform this January. The official, who spoke about legislative plans only on condition of anonymity, said that coming standoffs over deficit reduction are unlikely to drain momentum from other priorities. The White House plans to push forward quickly, not just on immigration reform but gun control laws as well," reports the Huffington Post.

The Republicans will voice loud opposition to both in the beginning but in the end will cave and vote for both just so they won´t be criticized by the msm. I have had enough of the Republican elite always caving! Molon Labe!

I found it interesting that the white house called the huffington post. Who knew that inanimate objects could use the phone? The Republicans do NOT HAVE CONTROL - do you ever read what goes on. The Pubbies can demand, pass, etc., but it ain´t law until it is signed by everyone in the government. Concentrate on encouraging them to hang in there and throw up what roadblocks that they can.

I say "go for it"! I hope he throws everything but the kitchen sink at us. I hope he taxes everyone, runs up the debt and lets Illegals run wild. The more he pushes, the more he´s going to PO voters. When 2014 rolls around, hopefully we can take back the Senate. That will put a halt to Obama´s reign of terror. Generally, he isn´t able to get out his faithful Base during the Mid terms, so we should be able to win! It´s our only hope of putting the breaks on his plans!

FTA: "The outlet claims that it is "unclear what type of immigration policies the White House plans to push in January."
No details on what sort of gun control legislation the White House will seek were offered in the article."
Duh. I can tell you exactly what they´ll attempt: citizenship for all illegal aliens and complete gun confiscation and outlawing of all gun ownership.
Of course neither of those will succeed so they´ll dial it back and Republicans will cave and call it compromise and a good deal.
Don´t they understand this is how revolutions are started?

Republicans fought a good fight, with the weapons we the voters gave them. There are some good articles tonight how the Dem´s used their best ammo to get another bill through that WILL hurt the economy. Taxes on the rich will be taxes on everybody. As another poster said 2014 Senate races are around the corner. Obama is as high today as he will ever be again in the polls and headed down. If Republicans did not do a strategic retreat and the economy really tanked we would be looking at Speaker Pelosi in two years.

Benghazi. The IRS targeting the Tea Party. Feds snooping on the Associated Press. These dizzying controversies around the Obama administration all carry the same lesson: Watch what you say. On Benghazi, set aside for a moment the dust-ups over State Department officials changing talking points, White House officials misleading the media, and congressional Republicans misrepresenting administration emails. Go back to what the administration was saying just after the deadly Sept. 11, 2012, attacks on the U.S. diplomatic facility. Many administration officials -- although they may have known better -- blamed the attack, and thus the

The thing people often forget about the story of the boy who cried wolf was that, at the end of the day, there was a wolf. For the past six years – since Barack Obama announced his presidential intentions – Republicans have been crying themselves hoarse. Obama, if they were to be believed, was a Kenyan-born communist Muslim with a forged birth certificate who stole the election by registering millions of ineligible voters. "A lot of information about Obama´s background is missing," said Abigail Billings, at a meeting of a 9-

What to make of the political scandals that are dominating the headlines and forcing the Obama administration into Nixonian damage control? Technology is finally doing to big government what it has done to big business, big media and other institutions that once could operate with nearly full control over information. The government is losing the ability to manipulate information to avoid accountability. Consider how the news broke that the Internal Revenue Service has been targeting conservative groups. The admission by IRS official Lois Lerner came in response to a question from the audience at a low-profile

WASHINGTON – White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer said Sunday Republicans owe Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, an apology for alleging she played a part in formulating the White House’s response to the attacks in Benghazi, Libya, last year that killed four Americans. Pfeiffer said on ABC’s “This Week” that the release of more than 100 pages of Benghazi emails and notes show “beyond a shadow of the doubt” that accusations she tried to change the narrative of what happened in the attacks was false. "And, frankly, I think that many of the Republicans

Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer said it´s an "irrelevant fact" where the president physically was during the Benghazi terror attack on September 11, 2012: Host Chris Wallace reminds Pfeiffer that Obama didn´t really talk with Secretary Clinton, Secretary Panetta, or Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, that night. "He was talking to his national security staff," Pfeiffer insists. Asked about whether the president entered the Situation Room, Pfeiffer says, "I don´t remember what room the president was in on that night, and that´s a largely irrelevant fact." Pfeiffer then argues that Wallace´s questions about the president´s handling

A story in the Washington Post yesterday about the Internal Revenue Service’s Cincinnati office, which does most of the agency’s nonprofit auditing, clearly contradicted earlier reports that the agency’s targeting of Tea Party groups was the result of rogue agents. The Post story anonymously quoted a staffer in Cincinnati as saying they only operate on directives from headquarters: As could be expected, the folks in the determinations unit on Main Street have had trouble concentrating this week. Number crunchers, whose work is nonpolitical, don’t necessarily enjoy the spotlight, especially when the media and the public assume they’re engaged in partisan villainy.

President Barack Obama will not cooperate in a “partisan fishing expedition” over who knew what and when about revelations that groups seeking tax-exempt status were subject to extra Internal Revenue Service scrutiny. “We are going to work with Congress, as the president said, in legitimate oversight,” Dan Pfeiffer, a senior adviser to Obama, said today on ABC’s “This Week With George Stephanopoulos” program. “What we’re not going to participate in is a partisan fishing expedition designed to distract from the real issues at hand.” The controversy over the agency’s selective screening of anti-tax groups has stirred Republican attacks on

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

It began in earnest last Friday. A flash mob of latte drinking, tofu eating media that has done its best to quell, rather than fan the flames of truth, turned on one of their own. Jay Carney lay bludgeoned at the base of the podium, a victim of friendly fire. Ironically, the attack was reminiscent of the one in Benghazi he has repeatedly denied the Administration he represents bears any responsibility for. “Changed twelve times?!” came the cries. In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

Washington – Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-MO, issued a video statement Friday in response to reports that the Internal Revenue Service unfairly targeted conservative nonprofit groups.
