| President Barack Obama jetted back to Hawaii last night to continue his holiday vacation, just hours after Congress passed a deal to avoid the fiscal cliff. The consensus among political observers is that Obama leaves Washington victorious after winning $620billion in tax hikes from Republicans in exchange for minimal spending cuts. The President was in a triumphant mood as he addressed the nation after the vote on Capitol Hill - even winking at photographers before boarding Air Force One for a flight back to the beach-front mansion where Michelle and the children are staying.

That wink was for us taxpayers, saying "Suckers!" What did he do during his few days back in D.C. that he couldn´t have done by phone or TV from Hawaii? Oh, well, it´s only several million more dollars we get to pay for his well-deserved vacay.... I would like to say to him what Boehner said to Harry Reid!

Oh, they are doing a scienctic research the difference of Hawaii beach sand and the different of the Atlantic/Pacific coast beaches.

Hmm... Some schools start the 7th... Which only leaves ZipPy 3 days on the choom greens. You know he wont be hanging with the girls...
So... That averages about 1 million a day on travel only...
I am thinking ridicule is due at this point. As an above poster laments, I too have had a couple years of bill sweating. Doesnt look much brighter- but our fearless leader is enjoying shaved ice on my dime.

A federal court in San Francisco Tuesday struck down Arizona´s ban on abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the law violates a string of U.S. Supreme Court rulings starting with Roe v. Wade that guarantees a woman´s right to an abortion before a fetus is able to survive outside the womb. That´s generally considered to be about 24 weeks. Normal pregnancies run about 40 weeks. Several states have enacted similar bans starting at 20 weeks. But the 9th Circuit´s ruling is binding only in the nine Western states

South Side rapper Chief Keef was arrested at a hotel near Atlanta this week for disorderly conduct after hotel security smelled marijuana smoke coming his room, police said. The disorderly conduct arrest comes two months after he was released from custody in Chicago for a probation violation. Chief Keef, 17, was arrested Monday afternoon at the LeMeridan Hotel located at 111 Perimeter Center West in Dunwoody north of Atlanta,(Snip) The hotel security alerted police shortly before 3 p.m. about illegal drug activity at the hotel.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew was told about a government watchdog´s investigation of the Internal Revenue Service in mid-March but did not learn the full extent of its findings until they were released earlier this month. Lew told the Senate Banking Committee on Tuesday that he first learned about the possible problems during a "getting to know you" meeting with the Treasury´s inspector general for tax administration, J. Russell George, on March 15. At that meeting, George ran down a number of items for Lew, including the potential for "troubling findings" in regards to the agency´s handling of tax-exempt applications

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?"
