| U.S. President Barack Obama´s step-grandmother, Sarah Onyango Obama, received emergency eye surgery from Israeli doctors in an Israeli-run hospital in Equatorial Guinea last week, the Times of Israel reports. Sarah Onyango Obama is the third wife of Hussein Onyango Obama, President Obama´s grandfather. She is apparently the source for much of what President Obama knows about his family in Kenya, and is one of the most important sources of family lore cited by Obama in his first memoir, Dreams from my Father. Mrs. Obama was transported from her rural village of Nyang’oma Kogelo in western Kenya to the hospital

Yes, #1. Obama takes care of his family by taxing productive Americans and creating Obamacare and other liberal/socialist programs. He is not an "out of pocket" help person, even when his own family is involved. Refer to his half brother in Africa who lives in a shack.

But their legislative lock may have slipped after this week´s special election in which Republican farmer Andy Vidak appears to have defeated a Democrat—in a heavily Democratic senate district—who had championed high-speed rail and a higher minimum wage. If Mr. Vidak wins an outright majority—late Friday, he led with 49.8% of the vote and provisional ballots were still being counted—his victory would put Republicans two senate seats short of reclaiming their veto on tax hikes.

Every Memorial Day, when I run into the grocery store to pick up those last minute items for the three day weekend’s picnic, I’m met with members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) selling their poppies. A 17-year-old boy and 22-year-old man were killed within hours of each other in separate West Side attacks Friday night, and a 29-year-old man was killed on the South Side, officials said. GUJRAT, Pakistan- At least 17 children were killed and 10 others injured when a gas cylinder on a school van exploded Saturday in northeastern Pakistan, officials said. The van, carrying 20 to 25 children, caught fire after the cylinder exploded, Dawn News reported. The driver survived but a teacher was reportedly killed, the BBC reported. The children, ages 5 to 15, were just a few miles from their school in Gujrat when the compressed natural gas canister exploded.
