| Should you be losing sleep over America’s apparent inability to prevent the world’s largest economy from plunging over the so-called “Fiscal Cliff”?[Snip] The "meh" reaction of the markets to the threat of more than $600bn in imminent tax hikes and spending tells its own story: if the country goes "over the cliff", the fair betting is that when Congress reconvenes on January 3, both parties have to patch together a package of retroactive fixes to salve the wounds. One issue not in short supply is Obama´s so obvious disrespect for the Rebublicans of the Congress. If the Senate and House Republicans cave on this issue there is no chanch of any good coming fron the debt limits being negotiated.

The milquetoast deal struck will send the country off the cliff anyway because it does nothing to shrink the national debt. The new tax increases on ´millionaires´ (those making over $450K) is already spent by Barry & his tax and spend demonrats.

The charity said the site had been inundated with traffic after news broke that the victim, believed to be a serving soldier, had been wearing one of its T-shirts. One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday. WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state
