Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) dismissed Republicans’ attempt to bring Social Security reform into “fiscal cliff” negotiations as “desperation.” “Here’s the situation,” Reid told reporters as he came out of a nearly two-hour meeting with fellow Democrats.”I hear that some Republican senators of the caucus said that they shouldn’t have done CPI and that’s true, they shouldn’t have done that in the first place, it was desperation. We’re still left with a proposal they’ve given us that protects the wealthy and not the middle class. I’m not going to agree to that.” Asked if he was going to

Don´t cave to Dingy Harry´s tactics. The closer we get, the "less bad" the cliff looks. "Less bad" is still bad, but far better than accepting a bad deal.

It´s about our country and our children. Politics and blame be damned.

Reid is a despicable character ignoring every bill passed by the House to deal with the situation and not passing a budget for three years.

And just how is refusing to let the Bush tax cuts expire not protecting the middle class? This scrofulous little man is utterly free of logic, as to be expected of Obama´s creature and socialist fanatic.

I maybe wrong but I note a little fear in Dirty Harry. Maybe internal polling shows that Republicans won´t be the only one getting blamed. I´m out of the market waiting for the 1000 point drop then I´ll get back in. Go ahead Harry make my day. You have not provided a budget for over 3 years, if the stupid American Blue State voter knew your scam you would be out, but with no watchdog Media you get away with it.

Too bad that the venerable practice of horsewhipping politicians has gone out of style.

Horsewhipping a politician has a way of focusing his/her/its mind on a pressing issue - and forcing him/her/it into supporting the WILL OF THE PUBLIC...

"I" is Obama´s favorite word. Now it is Reid´s as well.

All Obama has to do is sign a bill keeping current tax rates in place. No one is getting a cut. I wish the GOP would put out some commercials instead of letting the democrats control the message.

When a video of high school student Jeff Bliss calling out his teacher went viral, a lot of people started talking about the state of our education system and ways to improve it. However, almost a year since the video was posted, not much has changed. Take this attempted explanation of Common Core’s approach to math: (Letter & Charts) How is this helping? In 2010, just over eleven thousand homicides in this country were due to the use of firearms. The thirty-thousand figure is composed of all deaths due to firearms, regardless of the situation, and the word ‘violent’ is

It´s not just carriage horse drivers saying neigh to plans for vintage cars tooling around Central Park. The Central Park Conservancy, the nonprofit organization that manages the city’s most famous greenspace, is coming out against a proposal backed by Mayor de Blasio to replace the horse-drawn carriages with replica old-time cars. Doug Blonsky, the conservancy’s president & CEO, told the Daily News that introducing the electric vehicles to the park would be a bad idea. “Forty million people visit Central Park each year, including runners, bicyclists, kids and dog owners,” Blonsky said Wednesday. “Adding vehicles to the mix will make the

Shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday, a 19-year-old in a hoodie and baggy jeans was captured on a grainy black-and-white surveillance video urinating into a reservoir that slakes the thirst of Portland, Ore.’s 600,000 or so residents. (Cue the disgusted “Ewwwwwwwws!” right here.) But really, Portland Water Bureau officials, do you have to flush 38 million gallons of potable water for the sake of a cup or two of human urine? That’s how much the bladder comfortably holds, although the bladder in question obviously wasn’t comfortable. We get the fact that Beervana prides itself on its water supply. The water bureau

BISMARCK, N.D. — A federal judge on Wednesday overturned a North Dakota law that bans abortions when a fetal heartbeat can be detected, which can be as early as six weeks into pregnancy and before many women know they’re pregnant. U.S. District Judge Daniel Hovland said the law is “invalid and unconstitutional” and that it “cannot withstand a constitutional challenge.” The state attorney general said he was looking at whether to appeal the decision by the Bismarck-based judge. North Dakota is among several conservative states that have passed new abortion restrictions in recent years, but abortion rights supporters called

After devoting 15 minutes to a Barack Obama interview in the last 24 hours, CBS piled on with another seven minutes devoted to a "scary powerful" top aide. Charlie Rose offered a puff piece on Alyssa Mastromonaco, Obama´s deputy chief of staff. The CBS This Morning co-anchor on Thursday offered no tough questions and instead repeatedly underlined just how important she is. Rose marveled, "You know what somebody called you? Scary powerful." The co-host narrated, "We recently spoke to her about her low profile, high power role. Every time I read a piece about you, it talks about power."

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander.
