“I think there are a vast majority of responsible gun owners out there who recognize that we can´t have a situation in which somebody with severe psychological problems is able to get the kind of high capacity weapons that this individual in Newtown obtained and gun down our kids,” said Obama.
Yeah, well - we have someone with severe psychological problems in the White House currently - particularly if he thinks any ´law´ will do *anything* to curtail ´high capacity weapons´ availability. The ´toughest city gun law in the US´ hasn´t done a damn thing to counteract that (apparently unworthy of Obama-comment) slaughterhouse known as ´Chicago´...
Two points noted elsewhere - the Second Amendment does *not* require the consent of the current administration, nor ´public sentiment´ - and any attempt to curtail it outside of the states ratifying a Constitutional amendment - is more or less treason.
And it also seems that ´armed civilians´ are approximately 4 times less likely to shoot the nearest unarmed civilian in a ´criminal encounter´ - than the average cop on the street.
It´ll be very interesting to see where the Obama Clown Posse tries to take America next. Venezuela comes to mind...

0bama wants gun control, yet he sends his two daughters to a very expensive private school that has many armed guards, with REAL guns and REAL bullets. And all the Hollywoods are crying for gun control, yet they all have armed guards with real guns and real bullets. It is just the common folk that should not be allowed to have a weapon, or certainly not a weapon for which the government has not registered and gotten our finger prints, and the next thing 0bama and the dems will want is confiscation of our guns. Having this mother´s guns registered with her finger prints on file would not have stopped her psychotic son from doing what he did. 0bama has no common sense.

Obama can show leadership on this by disarming his secret service detail and replacing their weapons with cell phones with speed dial to 911. If he thinks 911 is good enough for us why is not for him and Congress.

Diwitted Diane Feinstein was on Fox this morning, and she is proposing the banning of various firearms, and a reachback to current owners of such firearms, forcing them to come forward and register those firearms, much like Canada tried to do. The Canadian government said that its registration program would cost a few million dollars, but instead, it cost a few billion dollars. And many Canadians simply refused to register their guns - guns that are tools, in many parts of Canada. So Canada gave up on its registration program.

Everybody does believe that dangerous nut jobs should not be able to get their hands on any sort of firearm, but the Obama Administration and the liberal Democrats trying to use that fact to take away the rights of 300 million law abiding Americans, because of the criminal actions of a few nut jobs, by banning almost all modern firearms is an extreme political overreach that must be vigorously opposed.
Not only would such an overreaching action take away the rights of law abiding Americans to own modern firearms, but it would also wipe out much of the US small arms industry, and the industries that supply all manner of parts and accessories, as they could not survive by just bidding on a diminishing number of military contracts, thus also putting thousands of well paying American jobs on the chopping block.

For all the ´there is no difference between the parties, etc.´ non voters who elected this monster again, behold your work. B.O. must be making a mental note, his administration didn´t have to force those AZ gun dealers to sell truck loads of guns to Mexican drug gangs, after all. Instead of hundreds of innocent Mexicans and at least 2 American Border Patrol agents, all the new fascists needed was a deeply psychotic murderer to attack a gun free school in CT.
If you don´t own a gun or even if you are cheering all the current plans to put an unlimited government boot on every American who owns a gun, just wait. YOUR turn will come very soon. You have no idea what your ´offense´ might be, but you will be guilty. It won´t matter what party you are or who your connections are. Once you get on the wrong side of unlimited, unchecked, power, you are simply dead. Read a book, morons. At the end of this dismal play, NO one is left standing, including the monsters with all the power.

Like me you were probably watching the president’s gun control speech today. Was told this morning the presentation today was a revised version that was completed just last night after a bunch of back and forth between the White House and Senate leaders. Guessing that would be Harry Reid mostly. Last week the president was ready to go all in on the executive order scenario. Confiscation was going to be in play. Then the backlash came and it forced Obama to back off.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Washington rumor has it that Obama wants to be U.N. Secretary General. There are several reasons that make that likely, and if it´s true, it throws new light on a lot of Obama´s oddities -- including his Royalty Bows, his Apology Tours, his Muslim Sellout, and the Benghazi Cover-Up. But first -- why would Obama be planning to become the chief of the U.N. before he has even finished his second term?

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. Fox News chief Roger Ailes has sent a memo to his subordinates at the leading cable news network. He sent this memo to his staff today in connection with the federal investigation into an alleged leak to Fox News reporter James Rosen, a story that the Washington Post’s Ann E. Marimow broke earlier this week. The memo’s a masterpiece, too. For all those who wonder what it is about Ailes that endears his people to him — and that makes him such a good interviewee for any media reporter lucky enough to get an audience
