| In America, established rights such as religious liberty and the right to bear arms are currently under attack. Liberals are in charge and they seem to feel that straightforward Constitutional precepts require alteration or eradication. Take for instance the "right to privacy" -- the left has had no problem broadening the meaning of "privacy" to include the right to kill an unborn child. As for religious liberty, unless you´re a Muslim demanding a Ramadan meal, liberals like Supreme Court judge Sonia Sotomayor

Will we be able to restore sanity in 2016? I think a vast majority will be finally aroused enough to outweigh the leeches of American society-- if we not all homeless or dead.

This might turn out to be, the battle between David and Goliath! Hobby Lobby is not going to give in. They will close all their businesses and put thousands out of work. Will these employees blame Obama and march on D.C.? I would. Obama idiots had better back down on this one. We need more patriotic Christians like this with clout and money!

Saw a photo of justice Sotomayor. Had to use a 1/2 gallon of mind bleach to get over the vision. I guess now that she has a lifetime job, she doesn´t need to brush her hair or put on any makeup. It was a pastyface awful photo, fit for halloween. What she and others are doing to Christianity is awful. But I take heart in that God is watching.

Saw the same pic #3 and yes indeed it was horrifying to say the least. I don´t how she got picked to make this decision unless there´s some sort of rotation when injunctions are being requested.
Charging someone $1.3 million a day for not buying something is bad enough in itself but the religious persecution behind it is even more chilling.
Hobby Lobby is heroic for standing up to these Satanists. How long they can hold out against a repressive regime is the next question. But these are the type people overall that Obama wants to absorb the entire costs of Obamacare. One trillion in new taxes for this grand scam take effect Weds. All you can hope for is these new taxes slap hoards of Obama voters in the face but I´m not counting on it.
This bill was written with demographics in mind and carefully researched to hurt the right kind of people. Average, hardworking Americans.

Too many sold their soul for an obama-phone.
How very sad for those people.
Their cities are slums, their schools are not educating, and their children are being murdered in the streets.
But, they get ´free´ stuff.
And to think that the first black president is destroying them bit by bit is so disheartening.

Multiply Hobby Lobby´s position by dozens at least, and you have a religious assault across America against the CHRISTIAN religion. But only Christians - Muslims and Jews get a pass because they would rather pay the fines than keep their souls. But then, I´m not so certain Jews have a problem with abortion and Muslims don´t explicitly forbid abortion up to 120 days, so they´re safe.
Once again, this Administration is setting out to destroy foundational American values, up to and including the Constitution, a documents with God at its very roots.
At some point, like Hobby Lobby, Christian-based businesses will have to take a stand - your money or your eternal life.

While this drags on, I´d "temporarily" close every store in a congressional district whose representative voted for Obamacareless. Maybe those workers and their families could persuade them to fix this.

If Hobby Lobby closes, Obama will count it as a victory. He´s like one of those WW2 fighter pilots except there will be crosses painted on the outside of his cockpit.

The people that are growing the government, making it more controlling and intrusive, are the same people who want to confiscate our guns. They tell us it´s for our own good, and I´m to believe them???
My prayer is that Hobby Lobby kicks their butts in court. God bless them and others resisting this tyranny!
In Obama´s world, only the innocent get punished.

The tsunami of anchor babies are reaching voting age, and there is no hope that will vote for anything other than more free stuff.
As for the constitutional contortions, it´s time to push for licensing women and a national abortion registry that mirrors what the left is pushing on gun control. Let the Washington Time publish a map of all the women who get abortions. It doesn´t seem to bother the Left to do that to gun owners. Apply their own standard to the Left´s invented rights, for once.

It appears the Republican Party establishment and some conservative commentators have come up with another mistaken tactic to woo the low information and undecided voters. With the avalanche of scandals swirling around the Obama administration and the Democratic Party, the political message promoted by these politicians and pundits is that these scandals are the outcome of a government that has grown too large to control and should therefore be dramatically cut back.

The current abusive conduct by the IRS is breathtaking in its audacity. When you look at last Friday´s testimony Acting Commisioner Steven Miller there is a clear disconnect -- the doesn´t think anyone did anything illegal, unconstitutional, or even wrong. Apart from a stark posture of arrogance and negative body language, he represents a very large group of people we need to worry about. This guy is beyond zealotry -- he has gone straight to certainty that he is right, his actions are justified and he can´t be touched. He´s like Obama´s buddy Bill Ayers

After running an errand at the Courthouse, I decided to pop into the Barrister Bar and Bistro for a quick bite. The place was packed and Charlie, the maitre d´, shrugged his shoulders apologetically. "There´s a huge party here this afternoon, but I can seat you at the bar if you don´t mind." I didn´t mind and was happy to see that my favorite bartender, Joe, was at work, I pulled out USA Today and read until he was free: "After February 2010, the IRS didn´t approve a single Tea Party tax-exempt application until spring 2012

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

By all accounts, today´s college campuses grow more intolerant by the day. We move closer to the old Soviet Empire, where political dissidents risked the gulag for even joking about Marxism. In the U.S., however, the hate crimes concern anything that touches on race, ethnicity, gender differences, diversity, and sexuality (see here and here). Even an old-fashioned ethnic joke almost guarantees mandatory counseling. Skeptics need only look at the pervasiveness of campus speech codes, coerced sensitivity training, the mandatory injection of multicultural propaganda into courses, and other top-down censorship.

BALTIMORE — Trying to reset the agenda amid scandal in Washington, President Barack Obama turned his attention Friday to the economy and said lawmakers should spend every day resolute on how to help it grow and get people back to work. “Our focus cannot drift,” he said. After a week that put him on the defensive and consumed by a trio of political controversies, Obama left the turmoil behind on a short helicopter flight about 40 miles north to Baltimore. The city has had its share of tough times in its move from an industrial to service economy

"We´ve seen rage and violence directed at American embassies over an awful Internet video that we had nothing do to with," said Hillary Clinton to the families of the four Americans killed at Benghazi and others gathered at a September 2012 memorial service. Her boss, President Barack Obama, had been reciting the same lie in one forum after another in the days following the September 11 attack on the American outpost in Benghazi. To give the lie credence, his Justice Department immured the producer of the video, a Coptic Christian named Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, in a West Texas prison.

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose career in public life came to an abrupt end when he sent lewd pictures to a college student on Twitter, jumped back into politics on Wednesday by announcing a bid for mayor of New York City. “Look, I’ve made some big mistakes and I know I’ve let a lot of people down,” the Democrat said in a 2-minute video announcing his bid. “But I’ve also learned some tough lessons. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
