| Last week, we pointed you to a PSA from Mayor Bloomberg´s gun-control group, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, in which the rich, famous, and pretty decried the need for stricter gun control (or something not quite specified). Some, like YouTube user Mike Hunt (ahem!), blame those very same people for perpetuating a culture of violence in the first place. In his own biting video response, he peppers in hyper-violent, trigger-happy footage against video of each celebrity wearing black and speaking in a hushed tone, respectively.

Of course these idiots are going to create a distraction from their own involvement in movie and TV show gun violence.The overwhelming majority of everyday violence is produced within various liberal sub groups. That´s why they´re so desperate to blame a mass shooting on a right winger or gun nut.Of course gun "enthusiast" is now a leftist dog whistle for gun "nut".
You can throw reams and reams of evidence to the left,that legal,registered gun owners are the least likely to commit gun crimes but they´re still the villains that need to be stopped.At the same time,there isn´t anything that can be done about inner city violence so hey,they can have all the illegal guns they want.

Michael Savage has believed for a long time that the Hollywood left is vastly responsible for the growth of terrorism, anger and violence in this country and the world. He has a sympathetic view of muslim parents not wanting to expose their innocent children to the filth that comes with our entertainment industry. This is one area I do agree with the muslims on. Yet the libs are somehow never responsible for anything that results from their stupidity. And we all pay the price.

As Hollywood promotes more and more violence and sex, they blame everyone else when our culture adopts and acts out what they see in their movies.

Finally somebody puts into pictures what we´ve been saying for years about Hollywood Hypocrisy!
Some of their movies are very good, but the increasing gratuitous violence has gotten way out of hand. You want to make a buck making stuff like that, well it´s a free country. Just don´t walk off a movie set like that and then preach to us about violence in our society and gun control!

The video is very well done, and makes an interesting point. I´d be pleased to post it to my Facebook page for all my friends and family to see, but for the gratuitous use of utterly crude language by the one making the video.

The reader comments on the original article demonstrate the Left´s talent for straight-faced argument of any point -- no matter how nonsensical. My favorite -- "gun violence wasn´t being glorified, it was just being used as a plot point." The old "conservatives don´t get nuance" meme.

What a disgusting farce. You can´t go to a movie today or turn on a TV without seeing "actors" and stuntmen doing gun tricks and car flips. It´s all fun with guns and using guns to solve every problem FIRST without attempting to resolve a problem in other ways. If you can remember, in the old Western TV shows and movies the gun fights happened in the end (usually) AFTER all other forms of mediation had failed.
Simply stated, Hollywood puts out Gun Porn and don´t understand that young kids are enthralled with it.

Last Thursday, Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA) started a Twitter prairie fire with his call for people to describe #ObamacareInThreeWords. I first saw the headline early Tuesday on Real Clear Politics, a political news site where I generally start my morning. It´s not where I expect to see a story on breast cancer. Then I checked my e-mail messages -- they all seemed to be about Angelina Jolie´s op-ed. Students in my undergraduate class wanted to discuss it in our next session. Colleagues expressed concern and wondered what the right response was. People I don´t even know sent e-mails. Just when you think the news surrounding Obamagate cannot get any worse, it does. Some say U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder’s days on the job are numbered and that it’s just a matter of when he’ll be forced to resign. While I’ll not shed a tear over Holder’s departure, one of the replacement names being floated has me reaching for tissues: Gov. Deval Patrick. Patrick has denied he’s interested — but the job isn’t on offer yet. If it is, President Obama should not select him nor should he be confirmed by the Senate for a plethora of reasons.

The Arab Spring has unleashed the Arab Collapse. Everybody still standing in the region is picking the flesh of the helpless. The Islamist cancer proved more virulent than Arabs themselves expected, while dying regimes behave with unrestrained ruthlessness. And our diplomats still think everyone can be cajoled into harmony. We’re witnessing a titanic event, the crack-up of a long-tottering civilization. Arab societies grew so corrupt and stagnant that violent upheaval became inevitable. That’s what we’re seeing in Syria and Iraq — two names, one struggle — and will find elsewhere tomorrow.

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.
