| Americans are in a panic. Crowds throng gun shows and shops. Blue-chip companies fast-forward next year’s dividends to this year. Investors cash out profits, estate planners report a rush of people trying to beat higher inheritance taxes and lobbyists line up for favors. What these people share is the goal of avoiding or benefitting from government actions. More than ever, the “invisible hand” of free markets is being replaced by the visible hand of bureaucrats. The political class is the new master of the universe. If this were being staged in a theater, the national epidemic of expectation

Work your life, saving what you can. Governments take half, then inflate the currency and take the savings. The lobbyists win their favors, and we pay higher prices. The politicians buy their votes, and our prices are higher. Those that pay cannot afford to use services, because they have already paid for those that don´t, and cannot afford being fleeced again. To afford medical insurance, I have a very high deductible, and do not use the services, but those that do not pay are there because it is free to them.

What #3 said. Obama voters what to punish the successful so they are willing to believe that they can have something for nothing... even if it means destroying America. This president has done more to divide and destroy than any president in history. Blacks against Whites, Poor against Wealthy, Women against Men, Gays against Straights, Secularists against the Religious, the Living against the Unborn. All the while creating a cast society where politicians will be the only people left with any wealth or power.
Those that voted for this man think they did themselves a favor, but they are fools! No one gets rich on food stamps and entitlements.
Obama and the leaders of the Democrat Party that guide him are EVIL.

I beginning to understand what tyranny is. Freedom has been our birthright but now it feels like it is slipping through our fingers. The innate optimism that has thrived in our country is being squashed by a massive government bent upon controlling every aspect of our lives. We have been disappointed by the leaders we send to Washington. Why won´t they stand firm and fight for the principles on which this country was founded? Is it too costly to their political lives? Shame on them if that is the case because they make a mockery of their oath of office "to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies both foreign and domestic". When in our history has the threat been more real than it is today?

Progressives are crossing the boundaries beyond which marketplace incentives for existing Makers to expand their domestic operations are disappearing and no longer sufficient to encourage entrepreneurs to take the increasingly unknowable risks necessary to start new U.S. businesses.
Obama disdains the notion of fostering an environment in which private capital is used to create private sector jobs. In its place he’s substituted a policy of funneling taxpayer dollars (disingenuously calling these subsidies “investments”) to campaign donor cronies who own “green” businesses that couldn’t otherwise compete. Yet even with these huge subsidies they go bankrupt and the few jobs they created disappear along with any taxpayer “investment.”
Democrats, however, are adept at “creating or saving” taxpayer-funded public sector jobs (via the enactment of an avalanche of Byzantine rules and regulations and stimulus wealth transfers to public union sectors) that compensate government employees at a rate greater on average than the taxpayers who fund them earn.
Congress, the president, and thousands of government bureaucrats are incapable of managing any activity remotely as complex as our economy. Centralized government control of the marketplace has never worked anyplace it has occurred. It succeeds only in spreading misery and always ends badly.
Circumstances change, but human nature does not. There are limits beyond which free men and women refuse to be beasts of burden for their government and people voluntarily dependent on that government. It is likely those limits will be exceeded during Obama’s second term.
Will there then be an American “Spring?”

As Rush said , we´re working for the government now . Our work is their money . Slavery has been so bandied about and what a lousy deal all those slave decendents got . Well WHO IS the slave now ? . Since LBJ gave the right to sit on your butt and watch tv while someone else gave you lifes necessities . Those who did the work were the first white slaves . Nothing has changed except a black president who enjoys watching us toil under his grin . He´s targeting the ´ rich ´ out of simple enjoyment for himself . If others of his race wish to join in , fine . The BP spill and Churchill bust are another few examples . My fathers dream in action .

Like Thatcher said, "socialism is ok until you start to run out of other people´s money".
Bamster´s approach to gov with the mass spending is bound to fail, yet he just doesn´t care as he´s running it all up on our dime. He obviously wants to drive the US debt to such interstellar-overdrive proportions that we can never recover.
I see him as the new terrorist hijacker, sitting up there in the cat bird´s seat in DC steering us madly into a cliff. The passengers, we sane US citizens, doth protest loudly and our words are unheard. We might as well be on a cell phone asking someone to come help, just like the airline passengers on 09/11/01.

#10. I get great satisfaction in knowing that Obama can not be absolutely sure WHO his father really is. The book he/Ayers wrote ? was to quell his own doubts. He is so lacking in fundamental principles that he has (in his own mind) made himself great. He is the great boondoggle.

As impractical as it is, conservatives must own a mainstream network television outlet -- namely NBC. Wealthy conservatives -- Koch brothers, S. Adelson, etc. -- must buy Comcast which owns NBC, MSNBC, CNBC.
Only then will there be a mouthpiece to counter the Chris Matthews, David Gregorys, Marthas, Candys, Wolfs et al.
Fox is great but conservatives need the mainstream aspects of networks -- they need to relay the daily news in quick, succinct soundbites that the "low information" audience can absorb. They need the format to reduce Obama to quick nuggets he so relies on -- "tax the rich," "pay their fair share." That´s all he´s said for most of the last four years.
Network formats would allow a Robert Costa to reply: "Mr. Prez., the rich pay 70% of taxes, the bottom 50% pay nothing .... what is your number for ´fair share?´ "Mr. Prez, you are breaking the law -- you cannot rule by executive order alone." "Mr. Prez, where WERE YOU on the night of the Benghazi attack?" Etc, etc, etc.
Please ..... everyone pitch in to buy Comcast. Conservatives need a big bull horn.

#8, it may be satisfying to blame the Congress, but it´s wrongheaded. Patriotic, principled congressmen get defeated come reelection. "Soak the rich" became a winning platform once Bush and the congress changed the tax code so that well over half the people pay little or nothing in income taxes. [Sure, they pay payroll taxes, but it´s that big bite come April 15th that brings home how bad big government is.] When we send our patriots packing, it´s hard to complain that they aren´t there when needed.

The news is so depressing today that I come here for solace. Lindsey says Obama has won on the "cliff" on FOX and perhaps Repubs will hold the line on the debt. HA who believes that? Rasmussen has Obama even more popular today ( I have more or less stopped reading Radmussen, he is now a shill for Obama). The landscape is barren ahead. The " low information voter" will never notice as the Republicans refuse to stand up and let them take a hit for their stupid vote! Is there no hope that any Republicans will stand up for principle at any time?

I´m for going over the cliff because more than 50% of adults pay no income tax. The Clinton rates and expiration of Obama´s Stimulus tweaks, which allow the poor to be paid by the IRS, will make everyone aware of the taxes that must be paid for big government. Ending the emergency extension of unemployment will further motivate those who have given up looking for work. Those who voted for Obama need to feel the pain he is causing.

The dark cloud that covers our Nation will not dissipate for four years. Mitt Romney was right about the 47% of moochers.
What Obama has done is to use the tool of Class Struggle in the way prescribed by Karl Marx. To the rich he added the Straight, Whites, the Old and Men so the unworking classes can all hate a wider range of enemies.

First 2 axioms - The main character in the 1957 French movie Gates of Paris (Porte de Lilas) repeatedly says: “All people are bastards except for you and I.” (I would say, no exceptions). In some Russian book there was half a joke: What is in abundance in the Universe? Hydrogen and human stupidity. I subscribe to both of these axioms! Now, based on that I suggest our country finds a real commonsensical conservative leader and creates a conservative mainstream media. In this media we need to explain to the people of America what will result in fascist/commie government rule! I don´t see any other way.

No, the invisible hand of the free market is still there, thus the cashed out profits, inheritance tax schemes and record business at gun shows. The political class can play games with it, but the market always wins in the end and it usually ends very badly.

There’s a huge red flag in the Benghazi mess, but conservatives are letting the media get away with using a red herring to avoid it. Give the establishment media credit for obstinacy: Once it settles on a standard narrative or explanation for a particular subject, it shows remarkable discipline in explaining away any evidence that contradicts its own approved spin. So it has been with the media’s 250-day old determination to downplay the scandalous nature of the Obama administration’s treatment of its outpost in Benghazi before, during, and after the terrorist attack there that took four American lives.

Lawmakers across the country are tussling over the Obama administration´s plans to create a small army of assistants to guide millions of Americans as they sign up for new health-insurance options available this fall. Backers of the health-care overhaul face an uphill battle to spread the word about the law, in the face of consumer research that suggests most uninsured people know little about it and are skeptical about the value of health insurance generally. Some Democrats have openly worried that the administration is doing too little to make sure the enrollment process goes smoothly. That is where the "patient navigators"

Labor unions are breaking with President Obama on ObamaCare. Months after the president’s reelection, a variety of unions are publicly balking at how the administration plans to implement the landmark law. They warn that unless there are changes, the results could be catastrophic. The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW) — a 1.3 million-member labor group that twice endorsed Obama for president — is very worried about how the reform law will affect its members’ healthcare plans. Last month, the president of the United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers released a statement calling “for repeal

Since Hillary Clinton last came up to Capitol Hill, we’ve learned senior State Department officials sought to scrub references to terrorism from the infamous Benghazi talking points to insulate Foggy Bottom from political criticism — citing concerns of their “building’s leadership” to justify the demands. The rising temperature of the scandal means it’s possible that Hillary could be asked to return and testify again. If she comes back, she had better be prepared, says House Oversight and Government Reform chairman Darrell Issa. “We are interviewing lots of people, most of them under oath,” Issa says, describing the “methodical” approach his committee

We hear a lot, these days, about how President Obama is not like Lyndon Johnson and thanks be to heaven for that small mercy. The point seems to be that the president doesn´t know how to arm twist, sweet talk, bribe, and emasculate both friend and enemy (of which he truly had neither) in order to further his agenda. Since many among the chattering class believe, still, in that agenda, his is generally regarded as an excellent presidency. Never mind that more than half a century after Johnson declared war on poverty ...

More whistleblowers will emerge shortly in the escalating Benghazi scandal, according to two former U.S. diplomats who spoke with PJ Media Monday afternoon. These whistleblowers, colleagues of the former diplomats, are currently securing legal counsel because they work in areas not fully protected by the Whistleblower law. According to the diplomats, what these whistleblowers will say will be at least as explosive as what we have already learned about the scandal, including details about what really transpired in Benghazi that are potentially devastating to both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

While many Americans were tuned into news coverage of the massive damage from tornadoes ravaging the state of Oklahoma, Rhode Island Democratic Sen.
