| Hi, I’m Senator Roy Blunt from Missouri. As we bring 2012 to a close, leaders in Washington have an opportunity to kick off the New Year by working together to solve some of the big challenges facing our country today. At a time when our federal debt’s topped a record $16 trillion, it’s been more than three years since the Democrat leaders in the Senate have passed a federal budget, and the Senate Majority Leader has refused to bring any appropriations bills to the floor this entire year.

He´s never lead a day in his life. Why are you expecting he does now?
He only has plan to attack Republicans, and re-shape America. Which sounds like he doesn´t like America since he wants to re-shape it.

Obama was re-elected to "stick" it to rich people - take from them and supply the masses with government "goodies", including increases in social security. He was not elected for military success, for solving the debt or deficit issues. The masses voted for him because He will keep the government money rolling in with ever increasing promises to take from the rich and give to the poor!!! Its just that simple!!!

Obama is creating Chicago´s one party system of corruption, patronage and decay before our eyes, yet the GOP stands ready to be bipartisan. I´d rather have the GOP jump off the fiscal cliff than see the smirks har will come from The I Won, Again.

The words sound good. However, action is needed. The Republicans could begin the New Year by defunding lots of programs and agencies. Will they...don´t hold your breath. Dear "Mr. Speaker" needs to be replaced by a True Conservative....

Roy is right. This may be hard for many conservatives to accept, but Barry got more votes last go-round than the other guy. Americans want bigger government and higher taxes. If the GOP were wise they would see to it that they get these things. Otherwise they will be deemed "obstructionist" and purged from all branches of government. The American people need to learn the Galt lesson.

No, the article is misleading. Obama was re-elected to pass out more free stuff. and that is an unfortunate fact. Continuing long-term unemployment benefits, continuing food stamps,
continuing welfare without work, continuing everything that no one has to work for, continuing payments to other countries that hate our way of life and in fact threaten us,
etc.

But #3, Obama only sticks it to the rich that are not his friends. The truth about leftism is that the rich who are part of the "in crowd" of lefties get richer and more powerful while the poor, the middle-class and those who have wealth but are not part of the elite leftists are taken for everything. Yes, even the poor end up poorer under leftism. The so-called "free" goodies are not ever anything of significance unless you are part of a selected group and know how to scam/milk the system.

It´s the headline that´s misleading. The article makes the conservative point, except for one implied conclusion. Going over the cliff is not the worst possible outcome. Making a bad deal that perpetuates the bleeding is.

The demigod was elected by freeloaders to steal from the rich, for them, and give them their money. It´s no longer stealing, now it´s sharing.
Obama has no intention of benefiting the country, he sees it as a fat hog to cut. He has the country´s credit card, and he´s having a ball. He´s got no integrity as he robs the successful, to buy the votes he needs to rule.

The standard rule for handling bad news in politics is to get it all out at once. Take your hits for a news cycle, two or three. And then try to move on. The worst thing to do is allow the bad news to dribble out, poison drop by poison drop, for days, weeks, even months. Yet that is precisely what Barack Obama has done -- and continues to do in his current epidemic of embarrassments -- over a decade of controversies and scandals. Graduation ceremonies are good times for families and their offspring, which makes them good times for politicians to be around and associate themselves with happiness. President Obama gives four commencement speeches per year--at one public and one private university, one historically black school and one service academy. Just before his epidemic of scandals broke, Obama critiqued the many faults of America and told Ohio State graduates to dismiss cynical talk about over-reaching government and fear of tyranny. Finally, scientific confirmation of what so many have suspected all along: The strongest of men in varied societies around the world are much more likely to hold conservative political views. Probably much smarter too. While weaker guys, regardless of wealth, are more liberal, into handouts and wealth redistribution because, well, they don´t have the strength to get it and keep it themselves. The reassuring results come from a new study by researchers at Denmark´s Aarhus University.

Hi, I’m Congressman Andy Harris, and this is the Red Tape Tower. 20,000 pages high and seven feet tall, it encompasses all of the regulations already associated with President Obama’s health care law. The red tape, the taxes, the mandates, the tricks, the traps, the fine print … it’s all here. Now: just think about the fact that it’s the IRS that will be responsible for enforcing many of these regulations. If we’ve learned anything this week, it’s that the IRS needs less power.

Hi, everybody. Over the past few months, I’ve laid out a series of commonsense ideas to reignite the true engine of our economic growth: a rising, thriving middle class. The way I see it, there are three areas where we need to focus. One: making America a magnet for good jobs. Two: making sure our workers have the education and skills they need to do those jobs. And three: making sure your hard work leads to a decent living. I’ve also been visiting cities across the country that are doing some interesting and creative things along these lines.

Another awkward day in the unraveling presidency of Barack Obama. Beset by a trio of profound scandals, the Democrat planned Thursday´s message on foreign affairs through a joint news conference with Turkey´s Prime Minister Erdogan, a NATO ally. Unfortunately, Obama´s advance staff was apparently too busy preparing his next campaign stops to check the Washington weather forecast. It set up the news conference outdoors in the Rose Garden. Wouldn´t you know given POTUS´ recent luck, it began raining heavily. Obama [Snip] ordered two U.S. Marines to come hold umbrellas over the leaders´ heads while standing at attention.

One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday. The friend said he left the interview, and when he came back to the apartment he found that there had been a shooting.

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state
