President Barack Obama issued an executive order to end the pay freeze on federal employees, in effect giving some federal workers a raise. One federal worker now to receive a pay increase is Vice President Joe Biden. According to disclosure forms, Biden made a cool $225,521 last year. After the pay increase, he´ll now make $231,900 per year. Members of Congress, from the House and Senate, also will receive a little bump, as their annual salary will go from $174,000 to 174,900. Leadership in Congress, including the speaker of the House, will likewise get an increase. Here´s the list of new wages,

I´ll probably get my usual 1%. Meanwhile gas and groceries continue to go up and up.

Biden deserves his raise over the great job he did reeling in stimulus waste. There really aren´t words for these people getting raises while we´r eon the edge of default. Federal workers get raises by moving up a grade and performance bonuses,so they really don´t even need a pay scale boost.Congress probably gets per diems that are bigger than the raise they got.

Obama just gave the Republicans a late Christmas gift!

Republicans should insist that any "Fiscal Cliff" deal, and any budget legislation in future, include a rollback of these pay raises.

Who in Congress, or the media, wants to argue against that?

I suppose he got the money to pay for his Executive Order from the Executive Money Tree in The White House garden.

From whence cometh his authority to give these raises. I thought that was the jurisdiction of Congress. Oh, but the reality is that Congress is made up of a bunch of cardboard cutouts!

Keep your powder dry. Our liberties are at stake!

The federal workers are making better salaries then private sector. They should be the last ones to get any type of raise. This man does not care about the debt. He will keep spending our money without any conscience....bottomline he does not care are all. It´s not his money.

P.S. I worked as and with the federal workers for 35 years. 75% of them have horrible work ethics.

Why do we need a Congress, or a Supreme Court, when the pResident can just rule everything by executive orders? Not to mention that he wipes his behind with the Constitution.

America, has been trashed and nearly shredded by the magic Kenyan.

Another end run around Congress. Obama is in full Cloward and Piven strategy to completely drain the Treasury.

Remember he is the head of the Demonrat party, so they and the cowardly press are also to blame for the demise.

Obama redistributes wealth, not from rich to poor but from the productive private sector which is not yet dependent on the government to the overpaid, wasteful, unproductive of real wealth, public sector. This pay raise is just one step in this process. These socialist policies destroy everyone even those who believe they will be helped at the expense of others.

This needs to be a campaign issue that we beat the democrats with from now to 2014. Can you picture a ad featuring Obama giving Biden a big raise for his incompetence?

Calm down, folks.
The constitution limits salary increases for certain offices, as far as timing of the increases. (can´t get an increase mid term)
The executive order issue is a different matter. Someone should file a lawsuit.
But like the legal challenges to the kenyan klown´s eligibility to serve as president, I would guess the courts would say that no one has legal standing to file the lawsuit.

I don´t know what to say. There are just no words to describe how heartbroken I am that we are at the mercy of such a man. Obama is so obviously enjoying himself as he destroys our system of government, our financial structure, our religion, our way of life. He lords it over us and rewards his followers who make that possible by supporting him no matter what he does.
He wants to destroy the Republican party and many os us help him by vilifying Republican office holders and refusing to any longer donate to the Party. The House of Representatives is all we have left in Washington and we may easily lose it in 2014.

One day our grand and great grandchildren will learn of how gullible we were to elect/serve a President who sought to destroy what our forefathers worked/died for - to make US free from dictators!

Pray for America!

May this year be a time when we as citizens love our country enough to make a stand for righteousness! It is what is missing in this administration. I don´t think they know or care for what is right or what is wrong. Political correctness has become the way of life for the Dems/Libs/Progressives, who daily lead US further and further into an abyss that we may never come out of.

Only God,in His Righteousness, can/will save US from the tyranny now and fastly becoming unbearable.

America needs God back in our government, our schools, our homes, and sadly, even back in our churches, which has become a haven for anyone who supplies the need for money, instead of serving God and knowing Him to be our Creator, Savior and soon coming King, who will deliver US from all evil, if we only invite Him in and rest in His Presence. Amen

Money is not the answer - accountability is! We need to come together, to search our hearts, know in Whom believe and then act in accordance with His Word (Bible), where we find all our answers. It has served the world well for countless years and will continue to do so.

Dust off that Precious Book and allow God to reveal Himself, teach US, bind US together, see Who is able/willing to deliver US from all evil, here and abroad. Amen

Washington -- P. Jeffrey Black bumped up against his bosses in the Federal Air Marshal Service, eventually becoming a whistle-blower and testifying to a closed-door congressional hearing before his retirement in 2010. He had taken a long list of complaints to lawmakers about how the air marshals service was run, ranging from problems keeping marshals on flights to allegations of ineptitude and favoritism by managers. The same year he retired, he appeared in "Please Remove Your Shoes," a documentary critical of the airline security measures travelers endure on every trip. Then came the audit,

Within hours of announcing they were ready to talk peace, the Taliban took credit for killing four more Americans and the government of Afghanistan is backing out of negotiations. Is the whole process of bringing peace to the country doomed to fail? We´re not sure how Taliban leaders expect to forge a "political and peaceful solution" to the war in Afghanistan while continuing military operations against their opponents, but the Taliban has, in fact, taken credit for yesterday´s attack on Bagram Air Base that left four U.S. soliders dead. HARRISBURG — Sarah Murnaghan won her chance to get a new lung. After a week-long saga that involved U.S. Sens. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., and Bob Casey, D-Pa., Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius and a federal judge, the 10-year-old girl from Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, received the lung that she needed to continue her fight against cystic fibrosis. It’s a sad story, made all the sadder by the fact that Sarah’s parents had to seek out political leaders and public officials to solve a health-care problem that exists, at least in large part, because of federal regulations regarding organ donations.

Both parties constantly make accusations that their rival is engaged in hypocritical, unethical, or illegal behavior. Given the drastic lack of ideological diversity in the American elite media, the general public usually only hears about such accusations against Republicans. Beyond the fact that biased reporting shapes public opinion to favor the left, it may also have an effect on law enforcement. The persistent lies that have been told about right-leaning political groups by leading Democrats, including President Obama himself, may have led to the IRS abuses of power that we’ve heard so much about in recent weeks.

Writing today in the Corner at National Review Online, Jonah Goldberg takes up the point I discussed earlier today about the necessity for Republicans not to frame the immigration reform issue as one in which their principal motivation is to avoid allowing more Hispanics become Democratic voters. He agrees with me that’s wrong, but he also says that supporters of the gang of eight bill are mistaken to try and sell their legislation to the GOP on the grounds that it is good politics. He thinks the debate on the bill should rise and fall on its merits,

Something perverse happened after the Supreme Court’s decision today invalidating citizenship-verification requirements in Arizona for registrants who use the federal voter registration form. The Left knows they lost most of the battle, but are still claiming victory. That’s what they do. Election-integrity proponents and the states are saying they lost, but don’t realize they really won. The Left wins even when they lose, and conservatives are often bewildered and outfoxed in the election-process game. Earlier today, I called the decision a nothingburger. After re-reading the case and reflecting a bit more, it’s clear that the decision was a disaster

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.
