Obama Gives Raise to Biden,
Congress as Fiscal Cliff Looms

Imagine you are working for a company that is going bankrupt, but everyone you work with and your bosses are getting pay raises. Seem absurd? Not if you work for the failing federal government, because President Obama has decreed that Vice President Biden, members of Congress, and most federal workers are getting raises for 2013. As the U.S. government is losing its luster on the bond market and as the fiscal cliff looms, President Obama issued an executive order to give everyone raises. Obama has generously bestowed a $6,379 per year raise on Grampa Joe;

Out of his own pocket I hope - that seems to be a very high handed sort of "look at me, I´m Mr.Wonderful" gesture without asking our approval - because we all know in reality where this pay raise will come from, and I for one think all involved should have their pay slashed for putting us all in such jeopardy.

Is it, yet, again time to fire on Ft. Sumpter (metaphorically speaking, of course)?

Are we going to let them spend us into oblivion?

This pay increase is, of course, necessary to cover any higher costs the federal worker(s) may have to pay as a result of any new rules, regulations or taxes coming their way due to, among the following, but not limited to, Obamacare - of which they are not subject to, but must still pay higher deductibles, necessarily skyrocketing energy prices and/or basic increases in the standard cost(s)of living. State, county and city municipalities may follow suit if they can sneak increases into their budgets without the private work force noticing.

As you may have guessed, govn workers have no economic cycle. When times are good, they wish to partake in the increased private sector largesse through tax increases. When times are bad, govn wishes to not feel your pain and tax increases are necessary to stave off any possible lowering of their standard of living.

Have a Happy New Year.

He will spend us into oblivion.

It just keeps coming and it is not going to stop for at least 2 years - and it will go 4 if the Republicans never get their act together, which right now seems likely. We all knew that if this socialist freak got re-elected there would be hell to pay and it is just beginning.

Let´s call it what it is: Bribery, treason, taxation without representation (if this is taxpayer money, he allotted it without it going through our elected officials), Lets call them all what they are: Criminals waiting arrest and judgement by their citizen peers.

The need for the Second Amendment as a curb on tyrannical government was never more clear - and I am thinking we will have to put it to use very soon.

It is terrifying that America has come to this.

I have the horrendous feeling/belief that the damage BO and his cronies will cause this country in the next four years will be undoable in decades to come.

The essemtial foundations of our US Constitution have been completely ignored by this administration, Congress and the Supreme Court.

It will take, if possible, leaders of tremendous resilience and strength to remotely overturn the oppressive regulations the current dictator has foisted on the American people.

I fear for my future and all Americans. The last four years was a dress rehearsal for the devastating production to occur.

BO has carte blanche to destroy our nation, and he has revealed it by erasing our military and economic domination in the face of horrific and diabolical enemies who will delight in our demise.

Welcome to the 9th world. Under BO´s belief...some pigs are more equal than others.

The Feds will give him a cut $ from every gun they get as well. They´ll make a statue of him out of the melted down steel and put it in Times Square, right before the Chinese army arrives.

I´m still waiting for the republicans to start a petition against insane Hussain to have him impeached, highlighting his multi-page list of high crimes and misdemeanors against this nation, the security team on the way to arrest him. If not, they will be lumped into the lot of them facing charges for sabotaging and betraying this nation. Do something or go down with them.

This is what Dims do. I work for local government, overrun by Democrats, and management underpays us compared to local wage rates, while paying themselves 3 to 4 times as much. They put us off the past two years by contracting a salary study by consultants, and now the study is done. The results... they gave themselves a 10 percent pay raise! We are still waiting. We are not allowed to speak to our representatives or the media, only HR and management, and they are the ones doing it. Total corruption. But of course, to hear them talk, they are for "the little guys."

Nothing will get fixed until all government employees are restricted to the same programs that the general population is subject to...Social Security instead of their gold-plated lifetime retirement programs, Medicare/Obamacare instead of their super-duper Cadillac-care, etc. If they want to get any such enhanced programs, they can pay for 100% of it out of their own pay checks. This is what unfettered power looks like in the US. A grossly negligent and corrupt press just looks on.

The next two years as someone said are going to be hell. But, just imagine the Republicans (as lame as they are) losing the House in 2014. And this is what Barry and his Communist cohorts in the government are setting up right before our eyes. The damage this man and an unchecked Democrat Congress will do just cannot be imagined.

And this is what our country voted for. Dear God help us in our time of anguish.

For the first time in a long time I dread the coming of the New Year.

WASHINGTON — Schoolchildren from New Jersey shore communities battered by Superstorm Sandy will join Michelle Obama for a garden harvest next week. The White House says the first lady will also be joined Tuesday by students who helped plant the crops last month. The New Jersey students are from Union Beach Memorial School in Union Beach and Long Beach Island Grade School in Ship Bottom. Both schools were damaged in last October’s storm. Both also teach their students about healthy eating, which is one of the first lady’s causes. The students who helped plant lettuce, broccoli and various other crops

There have been a number of new revelations this week in the ever expanding scope of the IRS scandal. In contrast, Fox News devoted almost 15 minutes in their programming on Thursday morning’s Fox & Friends show to enlighten the public of all of the new information in the scandal. In a long-awaited speech at the National Defense University, Barack Obama claimed that the nature of international terror attacks threatening the United States has changed since Sept. 11, 2001, with ´no large-scale attacks´ on America occurring since then. But his definition of ´large-scale attacks,´ his speech made clear, doesn´t include the 2013 Boston Marathon attack that wounded hundreds, the 2012 Benghazi terror attack that injured dozens and killed four, and the 2009 attack at Fort Hood that killed 13 and injured 30. All those attacks had the potential to leave far more American bodies in their wake than they actually did.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.
